  1. We need to clean house from the top down. Some facts, Pearlman is on his way out and the University will not fire him before he is set to step down, however, you can send a clear message by firing that arrogant a$$ that hired Riley without due diligence, and that is Eichorst. Our athletics have suffered enough under this idiot from Miami. I say, Fire Eichorst, and start looking for an AD that understands Nebraska culture. In my opinion, that is Trev Alberts. And let the new AD give Riley his pink slip or tell him that he needs to fire his buddy coaches and get some competent ones. The only problem with that is that I feel that Riley himself is a nice incompetent coach so what's the point of keeping him. If no serious actions are taken soon, this circus show is going to continue to kill every ounce of husker tradition. We are proud husker nation and we should not settle for this performance. People who say the landscape has changed and we will never dominate again, these are the true loser mentality fans and they deserve this incompetent coaching staff. So your going to let HP hire a new AD before he retires. kinda stupid ain't it. Plus do you plan on funding these buyouts or do you expect others to pony up the money and not yourself.
  2. Exactly. That's why it's important for the AD to make a good hire after firing the previous guy. You don't want to be paying 3 coaches on your payroll for the next 4 or 5 years. With that being said, it's not terribly uncommon. Programs like Notre Dame and Auburn (IIRC) have been in similar situations. Luckily Riley is a relatively cheap coach, we wouldn't be firing a guy making 5-6 million per year. What it does do, however, is it makes you stick with the next hire for a long time. It would be a program killing move if the next guy stinks up the place. Did you not see this
  3. Riley's buy out is $1M. http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/riley-contract-includes-million-buyout/article_baf3a9d7-97c6-52aa-af24-96ec7457b6ec.html I imagine your boosters would consider that pocket change. You mean the same boosters that payed for Bo's buyout. Oh wait the university is still paying for that one. why do people think that boosters are just going to give the university money every time the fans are butt hurt.
  4. There was never a coach that would of been accepted by all. Hell it was a pissing match on who to hire anyway.
  5. That's all good an everything but like they said in the pod cast, since the coaching staff is being paid It's fair game to criticize them. (which I agree with) Now if your going to put out a pod cast and post it to the internet then it's open game to criticize them also. They put this out for the world to listen too so it's fair game!
  6. your on the internet look it up. an I'll pass on wasting my time on calling them.
  7. another worthless post. Just as your face palm posts are... I good to see your right on par with my posting.
  8. would you walk away from that kind of money? Absolutely not. But I am not a nice guy Even if I was a nice guy I wouldn't walk away from the money so I don't expect him to do so. Riley never got this heat at Oregon state...he could have seasons like this and no one would care. Life is different with Nebraska. I cant imagine he is enjoying this that much. He probably isn't use to this, and probably doesn't want to deal with this so late in his career. I hope he walks away. I have no idea what your talking about? I grew up in Lincoln and now live in OR. So what! I still wouldn't walk away from the money just because a bunch of whinny poster think i should.
  9. would you walk away from that kind of money? Absolutely not. But I am not a nice guy Even if I was a nice guy I wouldn't walk away from the money so I don't expect him to do so. There is also more at stake than just money. So.
  10. You can thank Bo for that. You are delusional. How's that. That would be on Bo. Hold on, are talking about the current players or this years class. Now I understand what you were saying. I'm talking about the recruits, not current players. Ok, it wasn't till i put in a quote that I had to think about what you were trying to say. If you go look this years class is not too shabby and we still have some big names looking at us.
  11. You know that that's not going to happen. Those things usually don't happen the day of. Golden was fired the Sunday following Miami's 58-0 loss against Clemson. Holding Eichorst accountable can occur days after the game, too. Eichorst gave Golden an extention, he needs to be let go without question. better be by Monday. Or what? An even more epic huskerboard melt down.

  14. 247 Sports has NU at 28 and OSU at 51.

  16. Stop making excuses. How can you compliment the team after we got BLOWN OUT by Purdue. How can you POSSIBLY compliment Fyfe after he single handedly lost us that game. You types of people are the reason we are in this mess because you SUPPORT this dumpster fire of a coaching staff. Personally, I'll take sksfan point of view and his 6,423 Huskerboard posts and his 10 years on this board over your view sir. Ya, Husker Nation is in a tough spot at this point ... but I've hung with skrsfan for 10 years now and joined the group after many posts from other Husker fans like him. Oh, and by the way, he wasn't "complimenting" the team ... he was giving an honest assessment of the current status of the team and the day. I thought it was a pretty fair description. Have a good day. Because he has more posts means his opinion means more than mine does. Tells me all I need to know about about this board. Well Yes.

You types of people are the reason we are in this mess because you SUPPORT this dumpster fire of a coaching staff. 10 point loss is now being blown out? It was 42-16 before Purdue let us back into the game. 42-16 to the worst team in the conference. Correction SECOND worst... So they allowed up back in the game by letting us score 29 points..... wow
  19. unfortunately they don't want to hear this. It doesn't fit the theme of fire everybody.
  20. Perhaps, but disregarding the negative affects of a petition, it at least forces Eichorst from straight up lying. Anyone with a brain could tell he was lying about having 90% positive emails, but there was no way to factually call him out. This is something he can't lie about. He'll just ignore it... but still. Can you back your lying about his lying up?Really... you're really going with that? You think he's had 90% of his emails be positive this season? You think he's actually happy about how the season has gone at any point? If you can't realize those were nothing but public relations lines, I don't know what to tell you. Good God. Yes I should get worked up over something like this.
