  1. Signing day is 6 months away. A lot can happen between now and then!
  2. Would make a great Peso/Hybrid DBack if he has any cover skills.
  3. in almost every loss over the last 2 years was because of being out-coached. Sorry bud, but you need to take those glasses off. We have a smart staff, they are just young and inexperienced. Nothing wrong with calling like it is. We will be in development mode for a few more years. Too much staff turnover to think we will be a solid title contender for atleast another year or two.
  4. lol, we lost out on 1 QB, now possibly 2 because of inaction. He was only so high on us because, honestly no one else (major program) noticed the kid. Now they have and he has better offers......Sigh, young coaches making rookie mistakes. I cant wait for a few more years when these coaches get some experience under their belts. Losing out on kids because they cant make up their minds, or trying to play the system and get burned; is frustrating. Live and learn I suppose? Honestly, i dont see him picking NU over Oregon or any major cal team.
  5. Comparing our current staff with that of the 80s and 90s is..... laughable at best. You cant compare the two, its liek apples to oranges. Our coaches, with the exception of a few, are still pretty wet behind the ears. Give them another 10 years of coaching at this level, and then maybe. But right now? not even in the ballpark.
  6. holy crap this is by far the #1 defensive lineman in the nation. his first step and combination of speed and power is amazing. watch him completely blow up queensberry at the end of this video http://recruiting.sc.../2/1195332.html OMFG! That dude is a beast
  7. If we lose this kid to the purple pansies, i'm giving Pelini's group an F in recruiting this year. Maybe not an F, but that would have to be embarrasing for Pelini and the staff.
  8. You can teach footwork, throwing motions, etc. You cant teach a QB how to be a leader or how to be a winner. This kids has those things, and i think its pretty obvious to spot. I would still take this kid over Bailey and Kincade. Like PC stated, wherever this kid goes he is going to win games.
  9. also, you cant compare the coaching ability of our staff today, to the staff under Osborne. They just arent in the same category when it comes to player development.
  10. I have no dog in this fight, but clearly you post on one account while passing time at work (different IP), and another account at home. You think people havent done this before? but back on to what you where saying blacky?
  11. I like him the most! Can he bring his WR's too, they actually catch the f'in ball He can stay in the pocket, roll out, tuck and run it, and reads the defenders well.
  12. Recruit ranking dont mean jack until december. Its all just a guess at this point, even so after their Sr. season, but less of one than grading after their junior season.
  13. Da Skers speaks the truth. He commited on a whim and is already having second thoughts. Birdies saying he has reached out to our coaches recently, along with one other schools.
  14. lol, not every husker fan lives in the midwest.
  15. From what i heard, he wasnt all that impressed with NUs current recruits and wanted to play where a bunch of "ballers" were going (USC, OSU and Mich). Clearly he is star gazing and probably wouldnt work great with NUs "work to play" system. While i would love to have his talent, his caliber of player has expectations (see A Green) and arent used to working for it. With telnt like his, football comes easy. Again, see Aaron Green's story. But, i dont want to be butt hurt. USC has a lot of talent and i dont blame him for his choice. Some times things work out for the best, even if its not what you want at the time.
  16. I hope we redshirt him this year..... Pelini, these kids are 18 and dont know what best for them, make them redshirt - he will thank you later in life.... gah!
  17. Umm, no he didnt. He wasnt offered CO anything, which was why he turned us down. Had we offered it, I think he would have came. There has been a lot of rumors around about Ron making too many waves, but i wouldnt put much stock into Ron leaving or Frost coming. Now, if Beck moves on, I can see Frost coming, only because Pelini loves Oregons Offensive Scheme, and Frost knows it well.
  18. Joseph is the real deal, but its like taking the Husker out of a Nebraska kid..... just isnt going to happen.
  19. CU, I think he is using it for a free trip.... cant blame the kid. I'm still sticking to my previous comment - unless LSU or Alabama offers, he will stay a Husker. If LSU shows any interest, the kid is gone and i dont blame him. Its like a Husker kid not getting an offer from NU. Take the best you have unless they offer. here is to hoping.
  20. Winning a CCG would help....might help just a lil Hell, at this point just making the game would help....
  21. You do understand that he is like one out of 200 walkons that has had that happen?
  22. why does everyone have to resort to money BS when we lose a recruit? USC is in sunny california with hot chick in bikinis every day. Their athletes are treated like rockstars, they have good coaches (lane may be a douche but he can coach), good academics and in the top 5 ranking this year.... not to mention the kid grew up in Cali watching USC winning NC. We lost, fair and square. Take it like a man and move on.
  23. I agree with the exception of one position, QB. Outside of Tommy, i dont see much talent on the roster. No offense to martinez, but he wouldnt se starting for any team in the top 20. Tommy? Who knows, he could be a dud as well.
  24. ya, that ship sailed. Hope Tommy is as good as some hope, looks like our future depends on him.
  25. I think he stays if LSU or another big program doesnt offer
