It was better when the rule was simply “cannot increase your profile” as a batter with a HBP. Bad rule change and judgment there when a righty’s pitch runs in on a lefty and hits him flush.

Would it surprise people that a NIL collective is shady? The main problem I see is that it’s not churning out more wins.

The only pushback I can see is how the schools were left in the dark and not informed of impending schedule changes until after the negotiations were agreed to. Fans were pretty ticked with Eichorst who got canned days after he agreed to moving off Black Friday. Otherwise, the teams should play when decision makers want them to play, especially now that everyone is getting paid. Curious whether the Chicago Bears end up becoming this dysfunctional during his leadership.

Maybe UGA does have him locked up at this point, but odd to me how a repeat national championship program has former players tweeting about a recruit like this. Seems like desperation hard sales pitch rather than a close. They just won again with a walk-on QB, why go nuts over a QB when they’ve proven it’s not about a highly touted QB recruit. Probably wrong, but hoping I’m right.

I don’t know if I would consider the type I’m referring to as anything “nice.” Truly not saying this argumentatively, whether they look like him, you, me or whatever, those people are easy to spot and even easier to identify within even a brief conversation. I have lived in that region too and long enough to reference the panhandle region with the understanding that you also get - I also know it’s “Boy-see,” and not “Boy-zee.” Pend Oreille is beautiful area but…you get it. Yup, it’s a cheap joke, but the stereotype of the panhandle is real.

^I love this, the timing of this couldn’t be more uncanny. Ladies and gentlemen of the GED class of 1999, I have one piece of advice for you. No matter what any stripper tells you, there is no sex in the champagne room.

Not shocking it was Allen. He had the highest ceiling but shoot, can’t waste time on someone who doesn’t want to work, especially when the lights are on. I hold out a little hope for Ervin, he appears to be the most complete back of them all thus far, but nothing stands out yet. I did like him…trucking Omar Brown for that TD in the spring game. Wouldn’t be surprised if 1-2 DBs, 2 LBs, 1-2 DL, 1 TE transfer out. Perhaps even another WR and QB leave too (Smothers>Purdy, IMO). Fill in the gaps with transfer and Walk-Ons. I also imagine several more departures during/after the season to clear room for more incoming recruits and transfers - OL/DL/LB. Those are a few position groups with a glut of schollies at the same year and the writing is on the wall if they aren’t 2-deep.

It’s more about drafting guys like Ryan Leaf or Jemarcus Russel or taking a shot on a guy like Matt Cassel who attempted a total of 33 passes in his 4-year college career and yet was drafted and banked over $65mil in the NFL. Don’t think anyone is drafting Joe Burrow 1st overall if he played at NU.

ehh, there are many players in the history of the draft who get selected or at least get drafted higher because they are on elite teams.

Would love to see a scenario where he strings along and pisses off every current top program recruiting him and winds up at NU with a handful of other recruits, and ultimately make more fanbases despise the Nebraska Cornhusker program *if* they rise to the top once again. To be hated once again by everyone would be a nice feeling.

Announcing his commitment leading up to NU spring game would be comical.
