  1. Solich's failures??????? Have you seen who starts on D. 8 of the starters are soliches recruits. If BC's recruiting is so great, why haven't those players overtaken the starting position? We were lucky that texas was so much slower than us, then. Did you watch the game??? The weather negated any speed advantage. The turf was slick and players were being cautious not to slip. I think the weather was a big factor why we were in that game. That's the advantage you get playing in the northern part of the US. You are used to those conditions and when you bring in warm weather teams (USC, Texas, schools from Florida) they have a tougher time adapting. So only texas players were being careful not to slip? Nebraska players have special no-slip shoes? YOu know what, that kind of talk sounds like the talk of a Non-True-Fan! If you think that we couldn't have played against texas in other conditions, then you're saying that we're not good and you've already given up on them. You're an up-giving non-fan!
  2. We were lucky that texas was so much slower than us, then.
  3. Who's giving up? It was terrible. It's not "giving up" to say that it was all-around (sans Jackson) a terrible game.
  4. Word to that! Nothing else worked. NOTHING. THe offense cannot rely on the defense to stop anything anymore. Oh, sure, they MIGHT really step up and do some very VERY impressive games (Vs. Texas, of course!) but they might just choke for no apparent reason. I would be willing that cosgrove had another "plan" like he did against Kansas...
  5. No way! I still think we're the best team in the country even though we got it handed to us by an unranked team the week after going to the limit iwth #5. We are still awesome, our running defense is still the best in the country... how could anyone think otherwise? True fans know that when you're made to look like children against an unranked team that that's when you should not say good things. Anyone who is at all critical is "throwing them under the bus."
  6. 1) Jackson did really well. Amazingly well. 2) Nobody died. 3) #90
  7. Good thing that jackson got back in... why did he stop playing? Porbably something to do with satan.
  8. So if you try to NOT get crushed after the play by shoving a guy who is trying to cold c**k you after the whistle, that's a foul? But the guy who is trying to crush you is fine? What the crap?
  9. What in the heck is jackson on today!?!?! Give everybody some! GBR indeed!
  10. Is that a triple negative? I've been trying to figure-out what that means and my head is spinning. It is bad English! but this is a message board. It's fine English. Let's not confuse the inability to comprehend with the inability to write
  11. We *could* be the 6th best team in the country!
  12. If Crouch had Jackson Solich still would have played Alexander in front of him.
  13. Of course. I mean, if we can't beat 2 teams in the top 5, we don't deserve to be in the top 25. Every team in the top 25 is tied for first place and are all equally good; I don't know why they don't just put them in alphebetical order.
  14. Nope. If you blame a player for that, then you have to blame every player that didn't perform throughout the game. The offensive line in the first half for letting Texas penetrate. The interception by Taylor. The failure to tackle. Each failure contributed to the loss - had each player been "perfect", we would have never been in the situation where we put the ball in Nunn's hands. If you say that Nunn was the sole reason, you're simply ignoring that a lot of other players didn't perform at times - it happens every game. Word to that. This game was so close with errors on both sides (if that kicker had made 2 of those field goals, etc etc) that trying to pin it on Nunn is ridiculous. Mistakes happen and I would have a hell of a time finding a key player who didn't make one in that game. Anyway, instead of questioning this call, I'd have to question not going for the huge field goal after the roughing penalty. Big wind at the back... it seemd possible It's like we got a reset switch did the same thing again. Those crazy passes rarely work... very, very rarely. We'll have their number for the Big XII championship, though
  15. Sorry you have to deal with t-shirt fans, but every school's got them. You can rest assured that those fans won't be the ones shelling out the money to make the trip to Lincoln this weekend. Hahahah That pic is not right! I love it!
  16. The fact that 3rd & 20 is automatic for the opposing offence worries me. I see 3rd and 20, I get up to get a soda because I know that the first down is coming. It annoying that it's so predictable.
  17. Yeah, he definitely planted some in the dirt. However, it seems wrong to have put 39 points on KU and still almost have lost the game. GREAT game though. Man... what a perfect night to be in the stadium! Glad I was there
  18. "If this staff rewards Lucky with another start after his crucial fumble, then something is amiss in Husker Land these days." <cough>Alexander/Buckhalter!</cough>
  19. Okay, I'm missing exactly what it is that is so bad about this shirt. How about this one?
  20. "I wasn't arguing that: a) The offensive coaching is the reason why the defense is on the field longer B) The defense is "tired"" I never said that you were... A wise man once said: "That's the thing about reading between the lines. You are reading something that isn't there." As for the latter part of the post, a couple of missed tackles don't account for 40 points from Kansas. I'll bet you could go back to the 95-6 season and find a few missed tackles then, too.
  21. 100 yards. That was so painful. Lucky looked great though (in the replays on the news).
  22. I didn't do it on the forum. But I was pretty certain (and told my friends, etc) that BC would finish off our last streak. Hey, man. It's not our last. Keep goin' to the games! Keep the streak the fans have control of alive!!! Sho 'nuf! I should have said something about it being an 'on the field' stat or something... I love our sell-out streak.
  23. When did I put words anywhere in you?
  24. Except they regularly start the game by giving up 3 scores... I won't buy this 'tired' crap. I don't understand. Hunter is saying that by pure numbers, an offense that is on the field more is simply going to score more points. You don't agree? Fine, whatever. But if our D could force 3 and out situations then wouldn't the offences be on the field for the same amount of time? It's not like the other team's offence is lining up on the ball when it is supposed to be NU's possession or anything. Okay, even if I grant you that they ARE tired in the first half when they give up 17 - 21 points, they're only tired because the defense can't stop ANY offense at all. 3rd and Long? We might as well just let them step off the 10 yards or whatever they need for a first becasue at least that would save a touchdown. There is no reason that the other team has the ball longer or is on the field more other than that the scheming is poor enough to allow the opposing team to get long drives and huge plays. You're arguing that the symptom is the cause.
  25. I didn't do it on the forum. But I was pretty certain (and told my friends, etc) that BC would finish off our last streak.
