  1. DUDE. Why do we only have 5 in the box on a clear running play given the situation my god... qb coach O line coach DC all of the above needs to kick rocks. There has been minimal progress on the top 2 and Chins philosophy is sooooooo passing prevent coverage aligned... we’re in the f’n big 10 playing a December game against the best back in the league... coach against that accordingly for Christ sake
  2. Lol can someone bring me up to speed here? Is this post a super deep analogy of the team on the field portrayed as members and arguments on this board or did I miss some ridiculous personal back and forth?
  3. This defense is frustrating at times but they’ve been hung out to dry by this inept as hell offense. Wide open receivers and we can’t get them the ball. We can’t string together consistent drives and we haven’t won the turnover battle as a team since what feels like 2012
  4. This is the exact reason why the staff should take a serious look at Milton, if healthy. we don’t have a single quarterback who can throw the ball and, regardless of offense, this is a must have trait we are severely lacking
  5. Don’t also forget the minny qb getting all day to throw to wide open receivers down field and a secondary who couldn’t catch a pass thrown perfectly to them for a pick
  6. Questionable call but could have been avoided if our f’n secondary can catch a GIFT of a interception. No qb pressure, weak a$$ cushion coverage and when we do get a turnover chance of course we whiff
  7. Yeah I’m waiting for the no rush and cushion coverage concept to pay off, 3 years later and I’m still waiting
  8. This team has zero killer instinct. can’t execute fundamental plays in the playbook. can’t execute a simple slant thru the air cant jump on a hapless opponent down 40 players who hasn’t played in weeks
  9. 3 years and we still can’t execute a play we run 20 times a game id really love to see what we average on that HB flat/screen play. My guess is .2 yards per call
  10. Watch the league bend of backwards letting OSU get a new game in its place... gotta maintain that $$$$$$$ from the conf title game playoffs ya know???!
  11. What;s going to happen to this board and the Big10 in general when K Warren and his cronies pull some hypocritical BS and reschedule OSU when they ruled the EXACT OPPOSITE for us just last month?
  12. @Huskers93-97 They're definitely there.... Wandale is most certainly explosive, LMC has had a few explosive plays, 2AM is def a playmaker in the right circumstances... Z betts has had flashes and pumped to see his future play out. I definitely agree, wanna see more of these types of plays- but I feel like the lack of seeing them is more of a by product of our baffling offensive strategy that is allowing opposing teams to stack the box and essentially keep the whole play in front of them by staying within 10 yards of the LOS. Given our horrendous o line play, we're not gonna see many explosive plays where we dont have a consistent, snap and pocket presence to allow more downfield routes to develop as they should.
  13. I agree @Guy Chamberlin, while you've got a few years on me in the Husker fandom department, I too, cannot recall such a lack luster showing from this position group, ever. The o line issues definitely have a role to play here but, to me, D Mills has never looked the part- he always seems to be just a step too slow, or rarely gets to the 5-7 yard mark untouched to make a big play... always seems like he's tripped up or caught from behind, when he shouldn't, when does have the opportunity. While not for sure by any means, my gut is telling me LMC is going to get moved to that RB room for next year. While coaching/mechanics can help, he simply doesn't have the arm to be a D1 Qb but he certainly has the speed to be on the field. I find it way more likely we go the transfer route to add a qb to the mix (hello M Milton) and move LMC to RB as opposed to us finding a RB in juco/graduate to bring in. Regardless how it plays out, our top rushers cannot be quarterbacks again- they won't stay healthy over the course of a normal year and we simply need a RB threat to open up the offense more
  14. I still have minimal trust in this team showing up consistently. Hoping they build some momentum As far as minny, they must really think they’ll miss Bateman. Tanner Morgan is a shell without all those dudes he had before. Put Cam on Autman-Bell. Stack the box for Ibrahim.
  15. We should 100% make a move. Best case we get an upgrade at the QB position- someone who knows this offense and staff well and has executed it well on the field before. Worst case: We add a high character guy to the qb room to push AM, LM, Smothers, and help them become better players. There are countless quotes out there from Frosty and staff saying they have a spot open for this guy when he wants to start his coaching career. This seems like too many win wins for both parties for this not to happen. For Milton, if he cant come in here and win the QB job then the writing's probably on the wall he aint winning many other jobs he would want. Why not come to a coach/staff/scheme you're familiar with both on the field and off the field wise.
  16. I think instead of hitting the links you should put down the devil's dandruff over there. I picked up about 1 coherent thought for every 10 question you fired off. To reiterate, we don't out recruit Wisconsin year over year by a good margin. If you look at the past few Wisconsin recruiting classes they do have less *s in the skill position but what will jump out at you is year over year they are getting 2-3 OTs that rank in the top 300 recruits, some of which happen to be top 20's and top OL recruits for their given year. This is what identity means- recruiting rankings doesnt do WI justice when they are still recruiting OL talent with the best schools in the country, Alabama, Clemson, and ohio states of the world included. If you're a top flight O lineman in high school, you're listening to what Wisconsin has to say based off its track record What position group do we have similar to this? None... Also, I'm curious what exactly happened on friday to compel you to spin up an account now. Despite our inability to hike the ball and our revolving door of quarterbacks and rbs behind a porous oline, we still had a pretty damn good chance at beating the #24 team in the country. As has been stated, there is so much that needs to be addressed but we are in a much better spot then we were 3-4 years ago against these same progrums
  17. Sorry, to clarify I was referring to AM transferring out as a poster prior mentioned his leadership and him leaving would be a hit. Agreed, I don't think Luke transfers unless he has a for sure path somewhere and i dunno what P5 would guarantee that outside of a bottom dweller simply to get his speed. If I'm frost I'm using the remaining games to sprinkle in some packages with Luke at RB and get creative with it. HB passes, roll outs, options, etc... the guy is a burner out there and should be on the field period at this point given our uncertainty at RB
  18. I hope for that as well. If anything, I think giving AM the starter keys to drive against Iowa was a big vote of confidence for him and hope it pays dividends. Had LM been the starter again, I think the chances of AM transferring would have increased dramatically.
  19. I don't see a reason why he'd leave. Luke isn't going to gain arm strength overnight and the way he throws the ball and appearance of his throws tells me that's a major limitation that no coaching or mechanic adjustment will fix. If he is really thinking he has to leave for a better opportunity I'd be shocked if there was a legit P5 team available that would be a good fit that also didn't have quality competition already in the QB room. If I'm Adrian, I see Luke as a spark plug of a guy who got his chance and proved he can't move the needle with his arm. I'd be shocked if he's even contemplating a move elsewhere- he's got a massive opportunity to win this job for good, he just needs to avoid his dud of performances like the start of the NW game
  20. ah gotcha, when you said handcuffs I thought you meant the coaches/system was holding him back. I'd call those shortcomings but i 100% agree. Its baffling to see a stagnation like this when theres so much potential.
  21. What handcuffs are you referring to? His freshman year he had 2 all conf caliber wrs and an all conf caliber rb... something we have none of this year
  22. Go look up 2017 and refresh your memory on that season cause clearly it’s slipped your mind. Look at those blow outs to Iowa and Minnesota and Wisconsin. Barely beat ark state and losing to niu. If you don’t think there’s clear progress from when he started you’re wrong
