While I get the message behind this post, I don’t agree with this. The amount of pressure and mental strain one has to put up with when a whole state plus millions of others are watching your every move and ready to scrutinize when something goes wrong is something most can’t deal with. While I do think a gesture like him volunteering to bring his salary down this a year a bit due to covid and others losing their jobs in the athletic department would be a good thing, I think the man has some heavy f’n weight on his shoulders right now where it borderlines unhealthy. The guy wants to see this work and I think many of us need to realize he’s a god damn human just like the rest of us

You casually left out the “we are still behind you” the poster said. There is a world where support and high expectations can co exist. Just because we want to see more doesn’t mean we can’t fully support the guy

I must have missed it, when did we place an ultimatum on frost? Passions run deep and frustrations are coming out but i get the sense most sane fans aren’t anywhere close to actually giving him the boot.

Yeah his record isn’t acceptable anywhere, bud, it’s not just a Nebraska thing. If anything, he’s been giving a pretty damn long leash and about 10% of the backlash any other coach would

I agree with a lot of this but offer a different angle.. I actually think we’re fine player wise, we are incredibly young.. I do think O line coach and our overall defensive philosophy needs another look. im ok with lubick- he did good work at Washington and had zero of a regular training camp to speak of. those damn penalties, blown blocks and soft coverage needs to be addressed ASAP

Able to win yes, but they barely won against a young team today who shot itself in the foot numerous times (us). This was the 24th team in the country mind you.. Your point would be 100% spot on a few years back when Iowa destroyed us by 40. While the loss sucks, the gap has been closed pretty dramatically, now we just need a bit more consistency and discipline and today’s loss, northwestern losses of the world turn into convincing wins.

Frankly the transfer doesn’t concern me at all. Don’t mean any direct shots at the kid as he’s young and there’s prolly an argument to make that these situations will happen more in this year due to covid (no college experience to make up for a s#!tty year)... but usually where there’s smoke there’s fire and seems like there’s quite a few question marks at his recent actions. I am more concerned with our lack of consistency whether it’s offensive philosophy or fundamentals of football. Until this gets addressed we can expect to see a revolving door of these situations because reality won’t deliver against expectations when we lack consistency.

I mean if my guys can’t tackle then the last thing I’d want to do is have a concept where we’re giving them easy passes and we have to tackle immediately and that seems to be our M O. even the plays we do blitz, so many times it delayed and have minimal chance of getting to the qb Our defense plays like we have the luxury of a lead most of the time when it’s the complete opposite. back to the o line.. this was supposed to be our strongest position group given the talent and continuity.. they look just as s#!tty as they have for the past few years. Still relatively young so that’s a bit of a pass- but the snaps, penalties or just blown off the line of scrimmage is inexcusable

Moos isn’t going anywhere. He got the #1 football coach candidate in frost that year and Hoiberg has a track record never seen in a neb basketball coach. this team really isn’t that far off.. O line is such a f’n train wreck between snaps, inconsistent play and dumb penalties... if this gets addressed that goes a very long way in helping this offense go. defense- hung in there today but I’m convinced they are being held back by this defensive philosophy. The only time we get turnovers is a horrendous throw like today, they rarely are in a position to make a play because of this soft as hell philosophy

Nope not impressive in the least bit. The fact of the matter is frost is going to get 2 more full seasons in my opinion. The only way I see him gone end of next year is if moos demands changes and frost doesn’t and still sucks.

Well that’s not gonna happen for at least 2 more seasons, trying to be realistic

It’s just lovely that even the upper class men and leaders on this team can’t be counted on to make a fundamental ply. It’s a god damn punt return, just don’t touch the ball if you can’t get a clean read.. Btw- why can we not just coach one guy and one guy only to field a god damn punt. Why are we constantly cycling guys in that role, leads to inexcusable s#!t like this

Well- give credit where it’s due. Our FG kicking has drastically improved since year 1

We can’t go downfield, we can’t snap, we can’t execute punt coverage if our lives depended on it, we can’t cover, we can’t pressure the qb, we can’t run, we can’t throw it, we can’t make adjustments, we can’t play disciplined football, we can’t display a level of accountability
