I just hate it that this playoff system has ruined the entire bowl season. This hasn't been exciting at all.

Wow....you really have no clue on my posting history here do you? I am well known on here of someone who supported Bo and this staff right up till the end. In fact, I didn't support a change until the Wisconsin game this year. AND, even then, I didn't constantly bitch and bitch and bitch because I don't find that to be the fun of being s fan. In fact, when I finally stated I wanted a change there were actually posts stating they were shocked at my change of attitude. So, nice try in criticizing my post.

Sometimes it works that way and some times it doesn't. There have been programs that have gone through both situations and have ended up successful. A championship is always the goal. Sometimes that can happen quickly and some times it takes a little longer.

This^I guess you can be but why do you want to? Why is it fun to just constantly be critical of your favorite program? The irony...or is the correct word hypocrisy??? How so?

I'm going to be very disappointed with any loss we may get. However, in his first year, if the program seems well organized with a clear idea of what they want to accomplish and the players have bought in and are improving, the exact outcome of next year really means nothing. That said, if all that is true, I believe we have the talent to compete for the conference championship IF these kids play to their potential. It might just take some time to develop that potential while learning all new systems.

Very happy both Wisconsin and MSU won. Why wouldn't we be?

Part of what the option does is if makes it easier to create holes because defenders get out of position trying to figure out where the ball is going. When all you have is one RB running in one direction, the defenders can flow to the play and be more aggressive as a group.

Ok...2 questions. When it is fermenting, does it make the area smell like beer? I'm thinking I want it to ferment in my basement but it is right next to my daughters bedroom. She would flip out if she had to smell it for two weeks. Do people just use left over bottles from commercial beer or do you need special bottles? If so, I better start drinking.

It's just amazing how awesome the SEC west is. I'm shocked they didn't have three teams in the playoffs. Actually, they should just go play in the NFL because it's just not fair to hhe rest of college football.

I'm assuming Georgia techs offense is gimmicky too.

I understand it and still think it is gimmicky. That word was used a lot by opponents about a certain successful offense in the 80s and 90s. Not sure why it needs to be used in either case. An offense is a system of plays that follow a certain philosophy. Just because one is different than the other doesn't make it gimmicky.

+1 There are so many different and better eras of Husker football to love!!! Just because it wasn't the most successful era in husker history doesn't mean there weren't players and moments that were worth remembering.

Haven't you realized by now? Its much more fun to play the game of being the most pessimistic clown possible... Its really a win/win for em. If they're right and the hire doesn't pan out they can scream I told you so, if they're wrong and the hire is great then the team is doing well and they turn a blind eye to their original grouchy old man stance. Nothing like trying to tear down your team 8 months before the kick off of the new season!! I actually saw a post the other day (but wasn't where I could respond) where someone thought this was a bad hire and that if true, the Nebraska football program would be damaged beyond being able to ever be recovered. All I could think of was....WTF???? We might as well just shut it down and forget about football forever.

Is this how the entire off season is going to be? A bunch of threads talking about how our new coach sucks? Is that what's fun about being a fan? Making assumptions about how it's all going to turn out before it even starts? If that's the case then I might be done with much of what I do as a Husker fan while following the team I love. Good lord...some of you must be really fun to hang out with while watching s game.

I agree and have always hated the meerkat act before a play. Sam Bradford was the first QB I remember doing this against Nebraska and it drove me nuts. I always said that I doubted he would have a really successful NFL career because it was clear the coaches don't trust him to read a defense. Seems like that has been a problem ever since he got to the NFL.
