  1. Doc's teams usually always played good defense like this year's team. Most of that is because we just never had the players to play up tempo so we always tried to keep the score as low as possible. As the recruits we have coming in start to play, I expect to play at least a little bit more up tempo and even though they will play good defense, the scores will be higher.
  2. I never have been a real fan of the NRA. I have never been a member even though I am a gun owner. Like most special interest groups, they start off with good intentions and then take it WAY too far and unreasonable. However, I am also not comfortable with the anti gun special interest groups running wild in Washington without someone pushing from the other direction protecting the constitutional rights of gun owners.
  3. Things lie this make me want to puke when coaches like Saben act like it's a totally out of line question to ask him repeatedly if he is staying at Alabama.
  4. Maybe the wrestling team should wear baggy shorts so their junk doesn't show?
  5. We rarely drop back to pass? I agree pass pro needs to improve but lets not go overboard.
  6. Maybe the swim team should go back to old fashion suits that go to their knees?
  7. Both my daughters play high school vb. They have played probably since they were in 4th or 5th grade. Not once have i heard a girl complain.
  8. That is a pretty pathetic reason if true.
  9. Honest question. How often are these mass murders in rural areas?
  10. Cool...I'm assuming that is his daughter.
  11. That's probably the most likely answer. Head on over to the local gun shop and have them run the check. Probably for a nominal fee. Not saying it's a bad idea but that's not going to happen. You and I know enough guys that own guns (not criminals) that simply won't do that. I don't know that I would support mandatory registration . . . but my guess is that people who own guns now would be required to register them by a certain date or face prosecution. Again, not saying it's a good or bad idea. But, do you honestly think people will do that? Take a place like some neighborhoods in Chicago or NYC. Do you really think that all of those people who have hand guns are going to walk into a court house with their guns to register them?
  12. How would you go about registering all guns that exist today in the hands of civilians?
  13. No! They are working on a recruit for the next class. What? Please explain..... Kid named Darlington from Florida I believe. I think it is in the 2014 recruit area. In my original post I said...."other than QB."
  14. I find the offensive statistics very interesting. in an era of hurry up offenses, look at those stats compared to our offenses of the 90s that were no where close to "hurry up". Those were amazingly explosive offenses.
  15. I like some of that. We could probably do away with pork in three bills and pay for everything that will be put towards this issue of mental illness. Question on universal back ground checks. As a gun owner, you know how the system works now. If you go to a dealer, you fill out a form and they call into a federal number and get the transaction cleared. So, let's say you and I are hunting buddies and you are looking for a double barrel shot gun and I happen to have one I don't use any more and want to sell it to you. Simple.....$900 and it's yours because we are good friends. How is a back ground check handled? Is it illegal for me to sell this gun to you because I'm not a licensed dealer? Do I need to go to a licensed dealer to complete the transaction?
  16. His coach left for Southern Miss.
  17. What is the latest with this kid? Is he taking more visits before he decides? Is he planning a signing day announcement?
  18. Agmarauder.... I must say, I am happy for your success. For some reason I have always kind of liked aTm. In fact, I almost transfered there when I was in college. I am absolutely loving it that you are on the rise while the whorns are sinking. I will say that I'm having to cringe a little though that you're in the SEC. But, I'll be rooting for you to do well there.
  19. I don't really get the fascination . . . also I'm too cheap to enjoy spraying ammo around with a .223. Give me a .22 if I'm going to do anything rapid fire. If I'm not shooting rapid fire give me a bolt action with some beautiful wood. Carl, I live in Paterson, NJ. That is one of the highest crime rates in the state of NJ. I don't like the fact that some gun toting wanna be gang banger could roll up into my house, and threaten me, or my wife and her kids. I don't want to be left unable to defend myself, because now its vogue to chastise people who want to purchase firearms such as this. Now, if I said that I was buying a shotgun, you wouldn't have said a thing. (which I also plan on doing). There are, on average 2 or 3 shootings/stabbings per night in Paterson. I know a lot of folks on this board don't live in high crime area's, so if some thug wants to come into my house unannounced, mine's going to be bigger than his... Walksalone... I know this is off subject but I have to ask. Why in the world would you live in such a place?
  20. To be honest, I don't like it when players commit, then decommit to commit to somewhere else. I would prefer that their word be good. However, that isn't reality. These are 18 year old kids making important decisions in their lives. Look at any list in the country and I will guarantee you that it would be extremely rare that you find a school that hasn't had a player decommit from them or that they picked up a commit from another school. Glad he is coming to Nebraska. Sucks for ISU but we have all been there before.
  21. Supposedly he decommitted from Arkansas State. Any interest in him at anything other than QB?
