  1. Being a head coach. Losing 4 games a year and winning nothing of consequence qualifies you to choose your boss?
  2. I assume that the story about Pelini being angry that he didn't get to put in his two cents is untrue. Eichorst is going to be his boss, why would Pelini have any involvement in the hiring of his boss? Furthermore, I'm curious as to why anyone thinks that Pelini should have a say in any of this to begin with? What has Pelini done during his time here that would warrant that kind of involvement?
  3. Steve Pederson was a "Nebraska guy" and was recommended by Tom Osborne. That alone should disqualify Osborne from having any input on this hire. None of the internal candidates were qualified, and Perlman stated earlier that this would be a national search. He found a highly qualified candidate and hired him.
  4. Then Ohio should find a way to improve its healthcare system, so that its residents aren't seeking residence in Michigan. The idea is that the people of each individual state know what is best for themselves and know how to best govern themselves, and so they should ultimately choose the healthcare system that best fits their needs. I will agree with Romney that we need to put more of the taxpayer's money in our military. Why do we need to spend more taxpayer money on our military?

  6. Lots of pandering and the usual talking points have been repeated ad nauseam. I think Romney controlled the debate for the most part. He seemed more prepared. He beat the economy topic to death, which is the topic that will probably decide the election. Obama seemed a bit rusty. I'm sure that will change as the debates progress.
  7. And just as important, have relatively stayed healthy! Indeed. The line could use some depth. Losing Klatchko and Moore might bite NU in the ass as the season progresses.
  8. The line has played well so far this year, much better than I thought it would.
  9. Ohio State is better from top to bottom, and they have the home field advantage. Ohio State by two touchdowns.
  10. Rex's run was fantastic. I'd say that Taylor's TD run was the play of the game though. The momentum swung in NU's favor after that play.

one of dem kids is going to lose an eye if that towel waven keeps up Dem kids be checkin' their iPhones and not watchin' the foosball, and they're all inebriated and such, and then one of them takes a towel to the eye, and Osborne has to take em' away.
  12. Awesome picture. Revoke the student tickets indeed.

Was it just the student section waving the black towels? They showed a part of the crowd waving them during the game and it looked pretty cool.
  14. On paper, Ohio State has the better head coach, the better coaching staff, and the more talented roster. They also have home field advantage. Barring a catostrophic event, Ohio State should win this game.
  15. The distribution of the Blackshirts has become a silly motivational gimmick and it's distracting. Just hand them out at the conclusion of fall camp and be done with it.
