  1. Imagine this scenario, Your child is a junior at Stanford. Top of their class. One day Bill Gates walks into the class and extends his hand to your child and says 'I want you to come work for me. I will pay you 3 million a year with a guaranteed 4 year contract, but you would have to start in 30 days. Would ANYONE in the world advise them to stay in school and finish their degree? (not a chance) You attend college to improve your economic income producing potential (a couple of exceptions) The only decision that a college player with professional potential needs to make is whether staying would dramatically increase the income potential after that year. " Plenty of time to attend school and get the degree later.
  2. Peach Bowl Drinking Game Every time Nebraska is mentioned by the announcers.....do a shot.
  3. Corso lives in Orlando, you could have him come out of retirement to coach this one game,
  4. Will the UCF fans feel the same way when Heupel begins talking to recruits who were interested/committed to Missouri to now come play for him at UCF?
  5. Local Orlando Radio station reported that a fan rally was held last night on camp at UCF to protest Nebraska taking all of their coaches (and possibly a few recruits) but the auditorium was only half full
  6. After listening to this incredible interview (and Dr Rob Zatechka's podcast last week) SO many things that many of us always suspected were confirmed and a lot of the events of the past 15 years....makes sense now and its almost cathartic in a sense to listen to this. Great things coming on the horizon.
  7. Who has the greater motivation in this game?
  8. Do you suppose that UCF Kicker that was making all those YOU TUBE Video regrets quitting the team?
  9. Its far more than just simply having a lot of things to do. (which they do) Its the lack of a historical culture that takes pride in a certain team. I bet if you randomly stopped 100 people in Lincoln (or Omaha, etc) and asked them where they were from....bet the vast majority would be from there--or maybe they married into a family from there. etc, etc. Take the same survey of 100 people in Orlando, and it would be just the opposite. Most are transients with little or no roots here. The folks who are sports fans of often fans of either UF or FSU. Coupled with the fact that UCF does not have a great history of sports teams--those things take decades to develop. I took my family to a large nearby Christmas event in Winter Garden last night (beautiful town) there were thousands and thousands of people there---and this is a town which is essentially western Orlando. I had my kids play a game where they would spot UCF gear--hats, shirts etc and they could keep points. Not a single one. This is the night before what is probably their biggest game in the schools history. I remember the first time I flew my wife to Nebraska. We walked into the Omaha airport--this was like in March so off season--and she was shocked that the majority of the folks in the airport were wearing some type of Husker gear. Its just the way it is.
  10. Its very difficult to compete against Hogwarts and Butter Beer The funny thing is that they sell out the Pro-Bowl
  11. Just a little disappointed that Gomer Pyle was not able to stick around for the announcement,
  12. He said, The quality of life here in Orlando is second to none.......Its not about the money, for me its never been about the money...I have some tough decisions to make One positive snippet was "I will always be a UFC fan(or guy) for life........which you can take as a way of saying, I am leaving, but will always be rooting for this tem
  13. Is there ANY member on that expects a championship right away? That has never been the case.
  14. What is the difference between a hotel bed and the Tennessee Athletic Director? (A. The Hotel Bed has not been turned down nearly as much as the AD)
  15. Totally Hypothetical Situation/Question: If Frost had given Moos anything but an solid YEs, ie, "I am leaning towards it, will make a decision after the Dec, 2 game, etc, etc....... Do you think Moos would have risked it or would have wanted a definitive answer one way or the other?
  16. Its probably due to Art Schleister dropping some cash on this action.
  17. He will get full control, but I have to believe that he (or anyone in his position) is wise enough to solicit opinions and counsel of others in order to make a quality decision

  19. I have lived in both places, there are pros and cons. Nebraska weather is great for the most part. Nice season changes, winter is fine at first (esp if you are a kid or have kids) its fun up until about the first of the year and then Jan-March is just plain sucks. Not even the cold as much as driving around in it and having to do the equivalent of a NASA Evac just to go outside. Love the rest of the year. Summers are nice--hot during the day, cools off a bit at night. In most places in Florida, it just gets dark and hot and the worse kind of hot. When we moved here we bought a house just off of lake so we get a nice lake breeze and have a large enclosed back porch/pool area, and that screen really controls the heat and makes it very enjoyable to relax outside.
