  1. Will see what I can do gents. All depends on the work schedule on if I will be able to make it or not
  2. When does the public library close? Don't wanna start something in the shed that you can't finish ;-)
  3. No. You cant. That's not what he was. He was not even remotely close to being a bum. Imcompetent? Maybe. Yes, probably. But not bum. What the hell is chillax? Bum 1. A tramp; a vagrant. 2. A lazy or shiftless person, especially one who seeks to live solely by the support of others. 3. An incompetent, insignificant, or obnoxious person: The batter called the pitcher a bum. 4. One who is devoted to a particular activity or milieu: a beach bum. Number 3 may be of interest to you.... I would bet everything I own against 10 bucks on your part that that #4 definition was NOT going through your head when you keyed "bum". Bum was a wrong choice of words and you know it. A great guy but absolutely terrible basketball coach. Is that better? I also don't see that as a fair bet...my 10 bucks against your 3 cans of baked beans and a cardboard box. :-P

  5. You guys need to chillax. Nothing I said was a personal attack against Doc. In regards to his coaching tenure at NU he could easily be called a Bum
  6. Tell us how you really feel. Doc's a class act. Not the best basketball coach. It's ok to wish the guy the best even though it didnt work out for him here. Bum? Probably not. He probably worked harder at bein a coach in one day than youve worked in your whole life. Youre right on most of your statement. The bum part pissed me off. You actually know nothing about my life for starters and that has absolutely nothing to do with Doc making millions and burying this program to depths it hasn't seen. We had one heckuva leaky vessel when he came in and put the finishing blows on sinking the ship. Is Doc a nice guy? Yeah he is a nice guy. However he is not a good basketball coach. Look at all the local talent playing elsewhere under Docs watch. Gesell should be N. if Miles was recruiting him for the last two years I have no doubt he would be. Miles has signed the best recruiting class we have seen in a very long time. Tai Webster is one of the most highly regarded guards around. This was all accomplished in less than a year. When I say Doc is a bum I am referring to his ability to run a division 1 basketball program. Nothing personal.
  7. Is that how you want to run our program? Yes, do you want to win Conf and BCS games and make the new playoff system? I see no problem with not renewing scholarships or asking a player to go elsewhere. If you are on academic scholarship and don't meet the required grades what does the school do? Takes your scholarship away. Well if you are on an athletic scholarship and don't perform to the schools standards why should you continue to get the free ride? What exactly makes you any better than the academic scholarship student? These kids are lucky if they get even one year of college paid for because of something that doesn't involve being a straight A student.
  8. Your right like usual Hedley. He was, Nebraskafaninwin....I mean HuskNatioPri... You probably should have posted this in the shed....just sayin
  9. He is still coming back from an injury. Correct HNN
  10. Mock you? I am almost pretty positive you didn't say that in any previous posts. I am not going to sit here and argue like you want. I don't want to argue though....just pointing out that the statement was not implying Imani was as fast as Martinez... Never said he was as fast as Martinez buddy. I said he was close to Martinez's speed. So let me break down on how I read this... Abdullah is out with a knee injury... Abdullah is up there in speed with Martinez, NOT AS FAST AS MARTINEZ... With Cross losing weight and now taking the 1st team snaps, in place of Abdullah, there is no speed difference.... That to me, would mean Cross is right up there with Abdullah's speed, which would be close to Martinez. Martinez isn't a fast 5 step guy, he has more top end than anything. Ummm Martinez is an acceleration freak. Watch his sports science segment on YouTube. I also don't see Imani running with Abdullah. Imani is a big man and lacked speed last season. Don't see how he could go from that to "close" to Martinez speed.
  11. Your right Hedley. If they aren't playing by then, they are dead weight! When you wanna talk football and our roster let me know
  12. Mock you? I am almost pretty positive you didn't say that in any previous posts. I am not going to sit here and argue like you want. I don't want to argue though....just pointing out that the statement was not implying Imani was as fast as Martinez...
  13. Your right like usual Hedley. If you would like to mock me please go to the shed
  14. Since he understood the defense, means they should have as well. Ok. Like I said, your right... dead weight. It was their 3rd year in the program....should it take a player 3 years to learn his alignments? I guess I just don't get the notion in regards to some of the guys on our roster that are non contributors. The big boys send these guys packing while we put scholarship restrictions on ourselves
  15. Because they were only Sophomores and possibly didn't quite know the defense like Rome and Meredith did? Nah, that couldn't be it... too logical. Yep... Deadweight. Rome was a Sophomore as well.... So we know they were all worse than Rome and not good enough to step in and help when needed and instead we played a 260 lbs DE at DT.
  16. Why doesn't this surprise me? A faster Imani, that is close to Martinez's speed, who hits a hole like a freight train, is the last thing the B1G needs! I don't think he meant Imani was as nearly as fast as him. Lol Martinez is one of the fastest guys in the country and nothing against Imani but he won't ever be in that league
  17. I was just stating that we are making more hybrid players, because we are obviously going to see a variety of packages on defense. Zaire Anderson, I believe has shown he has the capability to be a big game changer, as well as Santos. So, I wouldn't say not one hasn't proven anything significant. I was just stating I think we will see 3-4 this year, but not as a primary defense. If we run thin on DT's, I don't think we will have a choice but play more linebackers (3-4) with Gregory, Valentine and Ankrah on the front 3, with a mixture of McMullen and Moss. Especially if the LB crew is understanding the defense. Dude, Guy, Okuyemi, and Ashburn are all now Juniors. How do you know they are dead weight and sucking up schollies? Because they didn't play as a Sophomore or Freshman? Thats a pretty big assumption for someone who isn't on the staff. Oh wait, your insider must have told you this too huh? When you move Meredith to DT and Nickens now to DT and Nickens is already running with the 2's you have a problem. We have had crap for depth on the DL correct? Chase Rome played and he was nothing special yet Guy, Okuyemi and Ashburn sit on the sidelines. They then get passed up by every recruit on the DL each season....how do you not recognize them as deadweight?
  18. I'm not even sure he was 2nd string OL though. This is honestly the first I've heard of him. Maybe since Reeves is out at RG he's been w/ the 2nd string unit this spring? With the OL, and the way they shuffle things around - lets say he was a guard and he was in the mix with Long, Reeves, ARod, Cotton, and Givens-Price - maybe Mike Moudy? I think ARod has moved to tackle. Reeves is out for the spring. Pensick is back to center. So Nickens essentiallyhas to beat out maybe 1 guy to make the 2 deep at guard? Now, DT is maybe the same story. You've got Curry, Guy, Okuyemi who's never played, Randle, VV, Kevin Williams. So he had to beat out a few guys there. Regardless, we're really thin at both I think. More thin at guard right now though. I expect Pensick to move back when Pelini comes back. Poor kid's been jerked around that line his whole career. Right now, at this time, to me, all the players in the red could get a starting position, and/or adds great depth. OL does not look to be thin at all. All the black are kids that haven't been talked about at all, or very little, with the exception of Knevel and Hannon, with them being true freshman. They both will likely RS, but you never know. Especially with Knevel. If he can understand the offense fully after fall camp, you could see him as a front runner. 5 spots, with 15 possible starters, who have experience or are raved about by the players, media and/or coaches. OL ---- Matt Finnin Zach Hannon David Knevel Chongo Kondolo Jake Cotton Spencer Long Mike Maudy Mark Pelini Cole Pensick Givens Price Brent Qvale Ryan Reeves Andrew Rodriquez Jeremiah Sirles Zach Sterup Paul Thurston Corey Whitaker Chris Long Dylan Utter Brandon Thompson Bobby Painter Nick Ash Brandon Chapek Scott Chris Garret Johns Adam Kucera Will Sailors Landen Kubicek Dustin Glaser For DT, we are thinner, but you will only have 2 starters out of this whole group, while the remaining are backup players for relief or if they are having troubles. There was a lot of talk about Okuyemi last year, as well as Guy and Uher. Its not even fall camp yet and those guys can emerge to be a valuable players. Greg McMullen, I added, is because there has been talk, from him, about playing DT, as well as DE, because of his size and athleticism. If Randle becomes healthy by game time, it just puts us in better shape. Collins and Maurice could also pull starting positions, if they are healthy after fall camp. DT ----- Maleik Collins Kevin Maurice Broderick Nickens Aaron Curry Jay Guy Tobi Okuyemi Jeff Uher Thad Randle Kevin Williams Vincent Valentine Greg McMullen Jason Ankrah, Randy Gregory, Greg McMullen Walker Ashburn, Donovan Vestal, Avery Moss, AJ Natter and Dimarya Mixon could be key on the defense as well. I am sure Natter and Mixon will RS, but we are pretty stacked on DE. We have some dead weight on the DL that is for sure. Guy, Okuyemi and Ashburn are sucking up schollies and getting passed by every class that comes in.
  19. Doc is a bum who pushed NU even further down then Collier did. He made millions and put a DII roster together at a major conference university.
  20. You might end up being concerned then....not saying it is a for sure thing though
  21. But, that's not what you said. You emphatically said it's not a rumor and that it is what happened and then when I questioned you on that you implied that you know exactly what happened and I need to stop believing everyone else. In fact, I took your information with a HUGE grain of salt and you implied that I should believe it no matter what. Where did I imply that it was the end all for this topic? I didn't at all. I said this is what happened. I guess I will spell it out more clearly from now on? Could the info be wrong? Maybe but I don't believe it to be. The kid busted his backside to get to NU. He wanted to be a husker very badly. Zoogies gave the best break down of this earlier in regards to what it means and how to possibly interprete how things may have gone down. You need to stop assuming what I "imply" perhaps you are simply wanting that to be what I imply or perhaps I'm not coming acros clearly enough. Either way we have wasted enough time on this already You should have taken BRB's post with a grain of salt. Correct
  22. Attack the post not the poster. Feel free to go to the shed with this post.
