  1. USC Minnesota Va Tech South Carolina Miami UCF Illinois Maryland Hawaii N Texas Where would Nebraska rank after we have fired 9 win coaches 2x and a coach after 1 year. 5-7th, no thanks. Gotta give MR more time rather than taking sloppy 5ths.
  2. Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Miami, and Penn St all say helloI didn't say without exception. If you want to believe it is easier to recruit to a losing program rather than one that is winning, particularly nationally televised games of importance, well, good luck with that. Of course not, it pretty obvious to say winning matters, but if you ask any of the recruiting guys they will tell you current record isn't as important as you would think. There is an appeal to being the class that Turns around a program, especially a historic one. The question becomes go 9-4 but get absolutely blown out in every game that matters and be constantly embarrassed on national TV or have a 4-8 record where your pretty competitive in every game. Which is better for recruiting. I have no clue
  3. Have you considered that he had been in a completely different defensive system for 2 years with different reads and responsibilities, he has been coached in a totally different manner for 9 months and the new responsibilities havent taken hold yet. Sometimes it takes a while to unlearn things you have been taught, and you have to do that before you can re-learn. I would say most of the D is in this same boat. yes i have. And it was a relevant point in say week 2. But its game 9. And when we talk about effort, focus, and desire that we see so glaringly missing on gameday, you can bet its missing in practice as well. Hence the continuos mistakes. Lack of buy in its called. But this is why it IS on the coaches too. Cuz theyre the ones still trotting him and others out there in game 9. Its just a total shitshow all around. So are you saying lack of buy in is on the coaches? Or it's on the coaches for putting the players out there that aren't buying in? Honest ? Not trying to be a douche...no prob. Its a question. Its 50/50 to me. I see ppl blaming just coaching. I see ppl blaming players. What im saying is i see problems all the way around. Hence, players continually being put on the field to consistently dog it. Thats on the coaches. But wheres the peer leadership? Thats on players. At some point someone has st to stand up and say enough of the bullsh#t. Its not ine bad part here or there. The whole machine is a massive clunker right now. Absolutely agreed 100%, I don't think the coaches have the bench as a threat right now, weather they don't want to burn red shirts or there is really that much of a talent gap I have no clue.

  7. As far as I'm concerned, Gerry can sit on the bench the rest of the year. Right before half, Purdue went deep and Davie had good coverage as they were going down the field and Gerry came over from his spot and hit Davie while he was on the receiver. Luckily the ball was over thrown but it was a bullsh#t move on Gerry. Here's the play that you are talking about: https://vine.co/v/e3igngOqiA3/embed/simple Looks bad... like he's blocking a teammate.... but more likely just took a horrible angle and I will take this moment to point out again...... how the heck do you blame coaching for that kind of play... you can blame them for leaving him on the field.... but if the replacement is way way worse... as a coach.... I have to ask.... what do you do? Seriously.... if that is the best we got... and its not close on the depth chart... then as a coach.... how do you coach around that kind of play? How do you not blame coaching for that type of thing? Seriously, what do you think coaches do besides cash paychecks? Lol, such a ridiculous comment, not surprising considering the source but still, lol
  8. Bo was a good guy to people he thought were on his side, and and jerk if you questioned him, he was a a great D coordinator and a terrible CEO. Bottom line he was a avg recruiter and below avg a developing talent and depth. Hence the situation we are in. They lost 3 then recovered in the last game. Once Riley was hired, a downward spiral was inevitable. But not the same logic for Bo at YSU got it, fits your narrative

  10. Last year, Youngstown lost their last three games to finish 7-5. They were on a downward spiral. And unlike Riley, Bo still has a chance to improve on the previous season's record. So you wouldn't call Nebraska loosing 3 of their last 4 last year (the only win in OT) a downward spiral?
  11. Ya, a good friend of his (the QB) for chandler is a Ore St commit as well as his "brother" who plays basketball for a Juco in Cali
  12. Sounds like a few of his good friends are going there, and that's the reason
  13. I see this as less of a prediction and more of your hope so your troll belly will be full. Pretty sad man
  14. Tunnel walk before the Miami game last year with the NC team leading them out was pretty amazing!!

  16. It's funny because I'm a broncos fan also, I kinda feel the same about both teams regardless of their record, the Broncos have won the kind of games the huskers have lost. Winning has put a band aid on a bullet wound in the Broncos case, and would have done the same for the Huskers.
  17. Shocking an unproductive post...I guess you've never seen "revenge of the nerds 2." Just adding some levity to the situation, sorry that I went over your head. Geez not since jr high, totally went over my head. Funny thing is as the leader of the "the coaches suck" movement im actually curious of your opinion? (Although I'm probably gonna regret typing that)
  18. Shocking an unproductive post...
  19. That is a great one, undoubtedly the answer is yes Wait, yes you are as pissed, or yes you cut him a breakCut him a break but would the reason be because he is a first year coach or a husker legend
  20. That is a great one, undoubtedly the answer is yes
  21. We'd be the most overrated team in the top 25. Prob like the last few years with our wins over Wyoming and McNeese St, looking back we had some false hope.
  22. The issues with your What if's are that NU probably wins the game if it manages things better, especially for the BYU & Illinois games. The offense just needed to gain one first down against Wisconsin and couldn't get it done, and then the defense gave them no resistance allowing Wisconsin to drive in FG position at the end of the game. That's exactly the point of my what ifs, I agree coaching has probably cost us a few games, so what if the coaching was the same but it didn't cost us those games.
  23. An honest question for everyone wanting the coaches fired after 6 games. Is your vitriol based on the record? So what if: 1) The hail mary gets knocked down 2) Illinois receiver drops the last pass 3) Wisconsin kicker misses again So we sit at 5-1, yet literally nothing has changed in terms of the way the kids have played or the coaches have coached. Do your opinions still stand?
