  1. Why would we be scared - if Lee produces as an NFL caliber QB the next 3 recruiting classes will have an NFL caliber recruit coming to Nebraska. Riley had a hard time selling top QB's to OSU - that won't be the case here if Lee performs well. Because NFL caliber quarterbacks don't grow on trees. About 1% actually are even considered by NFL teams. So building your entire offense around one player isn't a recipe for continued success.
  2. This article should scare Husker fans to death. Klatt basically says that when Riley has a NFL caliber QB he jumps up and wins some games. When he doesn't.... it's back to .500 football. I pray that Diaco can turn the defense around or I'm afraid Klatt is right.
  3. So do we still consider this recruiting class a success with three of the top players in the class not sounding like they will ever see campus?
  4. This only thing that's changed about football is that we no longer have one of the greatest offensive minds in history as our coach.
  5. agree, Ohio State kicked our ass, i think they got 5 5* kids.........we got none. And RB's we have no one out standing here either......we still need better recruiting, to compete. I think I saw a stat on Twitter that 12-13 of our 20 commits were rated 4 star by at least one recruiting service. Lindsay is a 5 star guy, he dropped because he missed most of his Senior year. Nevertheless, ADS already provided the stat that shows you we're recruiting at a much higher level then the Pelini regime. But I thought those stats were a myth and Riley is a bum whose .504 record will follow him everywhere he goes? So far it has.
  6. Kansas State fan who has been tweeting at every recruit we show interest in for the last few months. The dude has a major bone to pick with Nebraska and also a lot of free time. It is sad that he hates Nebraska that much, but he comes off looking desperate. Just need to have everybody report him for harassing people on twitter. Shut him down.
  7. I'm guessing Oudious Lee's son. Played 77-79
  8. I'd like to see us bring in another OL coach. This is a area of need if we are going to be consistent in the Big 10.
  9. Have to admit, that gets really old. You have it all wrong. Harvey is the devil and Eichorst is the anti christ.
  10. This is incorrect. Pelini let Watson and WR coach go. Can't think of his name right now.
  11. The Sock! If you want a source read the newspaper. Just passing along what a friend who has some connections told me. Take it however you want. Source?
  12. Hearing that Les Miles is in the running for a position. No idea what right now.
  13. What about Grantham from Louisville.
  14. Apparently the big changes coming rumor was true. Makes me think Riley already has his guy and we will get a announcement pretty quickly.
  15. Maybe Michigan State but not a lot in common with the others. Those teams are all running teams first and foremost. We would be more of a running team also if we weren't playing with upperclassmen from Bo and without upperclassmen that left the team. We will start to see upperclassmen from MR in 2017 and 2018. Let's see when these guys take over how much we run the ball. I think some of these top receivers that have decided to go elsewhere are doing so because they know we will not go 4 or 5 wide at receiver the entire game. How many guys transferred because Cav doesn't rotate his line? This isn't all on Bo.
  16. Hornibrook completes 59% of his passes and Huston 68%. Both are more than capable but yet they ran the ball 2/3's of the time. Something Chryst never did at Pitt. Maybe because at Pitt he didn't have Wisconsin's O line. Possible, he did have at least one back with a per carry average over 5 every year he was there.

  18. All of his QB's have had completion percentages in the 60's. He even had a mobile dual threat QB at Pitt two seasons but was still balanced.
  19. Like telling him what they are going to do on offense hands on. I went and looked at Chryst's team stats from when he coached at Pitt. He ran a balanced 50/50 offense that hovered around .500 win percentage. That's not what he's runnering at Wisconsin. Coincidence? I don't think so.
  20. So you think a AD that had coached two bowl games instead of letting a assistant do it isn't hands on?
  21. Nope, but that doesn't mean he isn't controlling the direction of the program.
  22. Maybe Michigan State but not a lot in common with the others. Those teams are all running teams first and foremost.and so are we. Look at the stats not off perception. We run nearly an identical scheme to Wisconsin, maybe because Chryst learned what he knows from Riley Edit: ok if you look at the stats you will find Wisconsin does run significantly more but that bring said it doesn't change that our schemes our very similar Wat no.... maybe an exaggeration but to say Chryst hasn't been influenced by Riley would be inaccurate No doubt he's been influenced by Riley but if you think anybody but Alvarez is controlling the direction of their offense you are kidding yourself.

Although I will say they tried to be better at it this year. We will find out more next year when Riley has his pro style QB what we are going to do on offense. If I had to guess I'd say it will look nothing like Wisconsin.

  25. Don't think Michigan State is going to be in the conversation again until they find a DC and another NFL caliber QB.
