  1. Is that badger-bias? : ) No. I grew up and live in the state and know how recruiting goes with prospects in this state......going back a good 25 years. It is common for most BCS level recruits with strong emotions to the Badgers brand to be committed by the end of March if they are not open to an open recruitment. Early commitment from an in-state kid would not be surprising. We get that in Big Red Country.
  2. Good info, nebraskafaninwi. Though, I am a little confused. He got an offer from Nebraska last June, but from last month, his top 3 had us out. Now we are back in his top 6. Also, besides MSU, no school from his top 3 now is in his top 6. Basically, it seems too early in the process for this kid to be narrowing down his choices. He should slow down, take some visits, and weigh his options. Lots of time before NSD.
  3. You missed the key part of that clip. Buzz, your girlfriend, WOOF!
  4. (typing) Send...and winning. Now time to sit back and feel smug about my victory.
  5. Jimmie Swain IV @jimmieswain Had a great day with the illini! #nicecampus #rockinbusinessschool
  6. Unofficial visit to UNC today.
  7. If the practice was that bad, I hope Bo laid into the team hard. This way Mr. Wolf can appreciate the level of commitment that will be expected from him at Nebraska, even during an early Spring practice.
  8. Yes, it was a rough hit, but clean. Let them play.
  9. We were already out of his original top 3: Michigan State, North Carolina and Northwestern Now that LSU and Alabama (and a few other programs) have made offers, he has expand it to a list of 6. Not sure of the new top 6.
  10. Marcus McWilson ‏@MMcWilson4 Just got my butt kicked in bowling Better get use to the feeling now that he is playing for UK.
  11. Already posted this in Luke's thread. Our debate may have some wheels after all. Bryan Munson ‏@BigRedBryan Luke Gifford admits that being the "Josh Banderas" of the '14 class for #Nebraska interests him. Says he has a lot of respect for Josh.

  13. Josh Harvey ‏@joshharveyscout #BoPelini not happy with his team's effort today, especially his defense. "It comes down to mental toughness." #huskers
  14. Bryan Munson ‏@BigRedBryan Minister (Ohio) TE Ethan Wolf is on a plane right now to visit #Nebraska this weekend. Wolf is rated the No. 7 TE/Scout.com. #Huskers #GBR
  15. I would rather he be a silent commit for a while. As was mentioned in his thread, if he commits early, recruiting sites won't bother to evaluate him properly and he won't get any recognition. He should hold off verbally committing and let some other offers roll in. I know stars aren't everything, but it sure looks good at the end of the year for momentum. As I mentioned in Luke's thread, I completely argue with this. But, if he wants to be our 'flagship' recruit like Josh Banderas was, he can't be a silient recruit for long. I hope you meant agree. I get him mybe wanting to be the flagship commit, but the glaring difference between him and Banderas is that Banderas was already rated a 4 star player going into his Sr year. So he had some "clout" behind him. If we wanted to have the same thing happen this year, we need someone like Foster to commit first. Good call. OK, someone needs to tell Foster.
  16. Will visit OSU, Notre Dame, and Michigan starting March 18.

  18. He's a high school kid in Lincoln... I'm just playing with you. Paulie, ADS, I know you guys have watched the football down in the Lincoln area with Banderas and Foster. Ever seen this kid play? Opinions? Outside of Foster, he's probably the second best prospect in the state. Like him better than Phillips, worthy of an offer for sure. I wouldn't mind seeing him at WR, and maybe getting him up around 210-215 I've watched him play a few times. Nothing overly impressive, but he does have a nose for the ball. He is always in position and making a play on the ball, which is encouraging. I would say that is impressive.
  19. I'm not saying who we offer isn't worthy of it, but some people seem to think every kid who is somewhat talented in the state SHOULD be offered and that just isn't the case, nor should it be. Why are we concerned about this? Gifford seems like a solid safety that can help with the run defense, and, obviously, Bo and staff find him worth a schollie. That should end the argument right there.
