  1. You have to make adjustments and double team the DT. I thought TM had happy feet. Tommy appears to show better composer in the pocket!
  2. I agree 100%. I thought I was the only one who saw this. I felt the team was more confident when Armstrong/Kellogg were in there. Obviously the teams they played had issues defending both QB's. Opposing defenses are just not threatened by TM and his sketchy decision making. Even a simple swing pass was completely telegraphed and resulted in a 8 or 9 yard loss against Minnesota. You can tell Martinez has very little on field awareness and no ability to check down receivers. He can only lock onto one receiver that's a defenders dream on pass plays. Same issues for 4 years! We all thought it would get better, but it has not!
  3. Please explain why we paly someone who says he is not 100%. When planted it sent a pain and his shoulder is still not 100%. Something is not right!
  4. I have heard excuse after excuse about why TM can not play better. He is a SR. and todays game was awful. 50%, 139 yrds and if it was not for the one run, he would have negative rushing yards. Please take of the blinders. This was Minnesota, not Mich St.
  5. Really???? You can't be serious can you? Did you not watch the last three games? The whole team was upbeat and having fun. The Offense was making plays and giving the D time to rest and adjust. And in making these plays on Offense also gets the D pumped up. And Martinez was hanging receivers out. How many times did we get hit hard because of throwing in coverage or a pass thrown behind or short. These guys know who the best option is for this team to win and its not TM. It's simple, watch how they play. I am 100% serious. And I did watch those games, and no, the team wasn't having any more "fun" with Armstrong out there than with Martinez. The TV people even commented on it in one game, how flat the team was on the sidelines. It's absurd to keep parroting this notion that Armstrong is going to magically make the defense play better. The offense was making plays against crap opponents. We also lost Long in our last game, which has had a massive impact on our O Line. And this nonsense about Martinez hanging receivers out - did you not watch the Purdue game? We lost Burtch to injury on a poorly-thrown ball, and Armstrong was all over the place, mostly missing high and making our WRs go up in coverage to try to pull the balls down. I get that some people have a bug up their ass about Martinez, but these arguments are baseless. Just say you don't like the guy and be done with it. Wow ! Tommy is a Freshman and has one bad game! TM is a Sr. and this has been happening for 4 years. The kid can run, but he can not throw. You and Bo need to take off the blinders.
  6. He seen a fluid offense without him and needed to get back to play! It has always been about TM. Remember this was Bo's big recruit. Both Tommy & Ron would have played better!
  7. Lou Holtz isn't any kind of authority I'd be quoting to make my point. And if you think the defense would have played better if Tommy Armstrong was out there, you need to double-check which side of the ball he plays on. Really???? You can't be serious can you? Did you not watch the last three games? The whole team was upbeat and having fun. The Offense was making plays and giving the D time to rest and adjust. 8. You are wrong, twice we went 3 and out and the defense had less than a minute to rest. Minnesota is a physical team. The offense needs to give them a break and Martinez was awful throwing the ball today!
  9. I still believe that Martinez has a choice of options that he calls at the line. The coaches call in the play, but the QB has options!
  10. Every year for the last 4 years its the same type of posts. After a while somehing has to change and nothing has!
  11. The way we played, I question if the team respects Martinez. 3 sacks until today! You realize Martinez played weeks 1, 2, and 3 right? And we played like crap! But you're talking about respect and the fact that we had only allowed 3 sacks up to this point. Do you think that it may be due to a different reason (I don't know, Spencer Long was also on the field for those games) than the team not respecting Taylor? Have you ever played the game? This is like HS when you are playing on team where the QB plays because of his dad. Its tough to get up when the best players are not on the field! Do I have to play the game to understand that the sacks allowed could be due to a different reason than the QB? That's such a bullsh*t response. Spencer Long, our ALL AMERICAN offensive guard wasn't playing, and they got pressure EXACTLY where Spencer Long would have been playing. Yes, it hurt not to have Long, but this was MN. A lot of time he held the ball way to long! Even Lou Hotlz said NE looked better with Amstrong! We simply quit!
  12. He is not the only one. We also have 2 Sr. on defense who should not be starting!

  15. The way we played, I question if the team respects Martinez. 3 sacks until today! You can credit all those to moundy. Dude blows. In Moudy's defense, they asked him to block Minnesota's best D-lineman 1-on-1, and that's just stupid football. You don't put your newest guy on their best guy and not give him some help. Agreed! Plus, Martinez held the ball too long at times and missed wide open receivers all day.
  16. I'd say Brown. If he weren't so committed to his ministry he'd have climbed the coaching ladder long ago. The ability to lead a team is there. NOT! Brown is a recruiter, not a coach.
  17. Martinez is an average QB, with a low IQ for the game!
  18. The way we played, I question if the team respects Martinez. 3 sacks until today!
  19. But remember who the QB is for last 4 years. Than you can throw in Ankra & Randall, neither can tackle. If Bo wants to live with these starters than he might die with them.
  20. I'm not sure if it's Beck or Martinez. I believe the first 10 to 15 plays are scripted. After that Martinez gets a code from the side lines and he calls the play at the line. The problem is that he is not smart enough to blow his own nose let alone lead the Huskers.
  21. I remember thinking that people were over-reacting because Bob D. was so good. I figured NU would never be that good again, and we should just be happy to have TO, because NU was always in the top 20, sometimes in the top 10, and almost never got blown out by any team not named Oklahoma. Then Washington blew out NU 2 years in a row and i wanted TO fired. I looked up blowout losses for TO just to remind myself. I used a point differential greater than 14 to define a blow out. It looks like Bo has suffered many more embarrassing losses than TO. Year Score Opponent 1973 27-0 Oklahoma 1975 35-10 Oklahoma 1977 38-7 Oklahoma 1978 30-3 Oklahoma 1985 27-7 Oklahoma 1988 23-3 Miami 1989 41-17 Florida St. 1990 45-10 Oklahoma 1991 36-21 Washington 1991 22-0 Miami 1992 29-14 Washington 1996 19-0 Arizona St. Can not compare, as TO took over for Bob D. and Bo had to rebuild what Frankie & Calihan tore down! It is easy to recruit when you are the team. These kids were not even thinking of football when we were good. They got to watch the Huskers under 2 bad coaches.
  22. Miles said from the begninning that he was going after 2 big men for this recruiting class.
