    Wow! King can not get out of the 5th, he serves up 5 singles and is replaces by Bummer. At this rate we will go tough 7+ pitchers today! Huskers down 4 - 3.

    Hawkins faces 4 batters & gone - 1 BB & 1 HB, but Lubbach throws runner out trying to steal. Pitching still seams to be an issue.

    Niederklien is not sharp! Almost every batter goes to 2-2 or 3-2. Too many pitches and the batters can set on the fastball.

    It was a scrimmage. I missed the first half, but appeared that we were not going full speed. TV coverage may have had a lot to do with that.

    There is no way to judge the play of the spring game. Since it was televised on the Bten network, we were not going to show a lot. Anymore, the game is a big recruiting tool and great entertainment for the Husker fans & their families.

    He is a little light for 6'8". He would have to be very athletic for us to go after him for 1 year.

    He's a 2014 recruit He was 2013, but decided to go to prep school to get better and wait for a local offer. Thus was reclassed to 2014.

    This is Iowa. I would think that it would not be hard to get up for these games.

    I believe that he visited with the Chicago group when we still had Coleman. We need a recruiter, but Miles is waiting to find out what changes the NCAA is going to make. Miles will get it done, even if it does not include this kid.

    Ugly! We get a lead off double and he gets picked off. You call lack of talent, I call lack of discipline. This has been a game of mental mistakes of all phases of the game: batting , running, fielding & pitching.

    I've seen HS players swing the bat better than Sanguinetti. Those were 2 terrible at bats.

    I have mixed emotions about this kid. We need a big body, but is he worth the offer. If Miles says he is our guy, I will welcome him with open arms.
