GT: #8 Michigan State at Nebraska - 7PM - BTN

I agree! He drives me crazy! Shields is a FR and he knows if he is not open to pass! It is a simple concept, find the open shooter! -
Every fan is different, but for me we need to be competitive and be in a tournament every year (NCAA & NIT) with more years in the NCAA.

You forgot that we were better with Talley on the bench. Shields only shots in the last 10 minutes was on rebounds and an assist from Ubel. Talley can score, but fails to get the rest of the team involved in the game and his defenses avg. at best! -

Like every game this weekend, there was a lack of plate discipline. Great pitching effort, maybe too many innings for Vogt. -

Good pitching, but too many SO with runners in scoring position. -

Agree about the lack of talent, but I expected more out of the pitching staff under year 2 of Silva. This team has a long way to go. Hitting needs to go back to the basics, too many free swingers with two strikes and pitching is horrible. We might have more HB then SO, for sure we have more BB. Just an ugly weekend. -

We are down 1 when Talley comes in the game. He makes more mental mistakes than shots. He also looks for his shot instead of the open player. This has been a problem all year. -

Too many Ks, several at the beginning of the game with runners on and a Sr. with 4. Not what I expected! -

Jackson played ball with my son several years ago. Hell of an athlete, but baseball is his love. Plus he is a very humble down to earth kid. I too wonder if he ever plays for the Huskers. MLB $ vs. playing for the Huskers. I do believe that his dad is an alum, maybe that will help.

GT: Penn State at Nebraska - 8PM - ESPNU

Sorry, a Doc coached team would have a hard time scoring 55, let a lone 60. Doc is a nice guy and a good def. coach, but Miles is a much much better. -
I agree. Ive been surprised he hasnt tried to recruit more since hes been here. I think he stumbled the last couple years thinking he needed to get bigger guys for B1G play which is true on the lines, but everywhere else speed kills and it will never change no matter what conference you're in. TO had to learn it too. The speed we have in this class is awesome. Get the speed and athleticism in house and earn your money teaching and coaching them up to be great. I think it started last year. We should see more speed and athleticism on the field from this year's RS FR.

Has he actually signed? Both Rivals & Scout have him as a commit.

We still could use a lockdown CB!

We will never know, until the NCAA makes recruiting a level playing field regulating recruiting limits. -

It is easy too sit there and pick, and choose a list of players that over-achieved, or under-achieved.... The facts are, those who get 4*, and 5* talent win championships.... Alabama, USC, LSU, etc.... If the staff thinks this kid is worth the chance, than I hope they take him, but personally with a class that'll be 26 or so, I would save the schollie.... I agree about saving schollies, but I believe that the staff is looking for some speed to supplement what we have. Something, we were lacking last year. I agree with what "both" sides of this debate are saying.... It would be nice to save the schollie for a potential high profile recruit, yet, the basis of the Nebraska tradition has been built with 3* guys who work their a$$ off to prove themselves... I question the "speed" comment...... he runs a 4.49 (almost 4.5)...... this type of speed is dime a dozen at the D-1 level. I would like to see this guy N, just because he is athletic and if he works his tail off, could be a good one..... They must see something special in the intangibles, because his "measurables" aren't eye popping...... Would be nice to see him N though. You realize Terrell Newby ran a 4.45 right, pretty sure you could blink in .04 sec. Kid looks like a playmaker After this years season, JT was the one who said that the Huskers need more speed. Look at our prior recruiting classes. This staff is still young, making mistakes, but learning from their mistakes. You can teach technique, but not game speed. -

There are some, but did not want point fingers. There is always hope that the bulb turns on and they play to their star potential. -
