  1. True, but the story actually came from the Mitchell Republic. Pop quiz, hotshot: what do Mitchell, SD, Brookings, SD and Vermillion, SD have in common?... No one from Nebraska cares where they are! Ironic, really with all the butt hurt about East Coasters not knowing where Nebraska is on a map.. Signed, USD Alum and Jackrabbit hater Buck the Funnys, Huskers!

  3. Agree. Let's move on from Bogate 2013 and have a little fun? Where's the Maudfather when you need some killer look-alike zings? Maudfather, where are you...............
  4. http://www.kadn.com/lsu-fans/lsu-fans-considered-tenth-worst-sports-fans I agree that LSU baseball fans at the college world series are pretty cool with their crawfish tailgating, but on their home turf it's a different story.
  5. Nicely done, JTrain! There used to be an area for Photoshop contests on this board. It was farking hilarious! Anyone remember that?
  6. I hope whomever sent the tape to deadspin is enjoying seeing how their actions are providing an "in" for the media to skewer Nebraska. This does hurt recruiting.
  7. http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/post/_/id/9683128/is-bo-pelini-trouble-nebraska Just a heads-up. We should all make sure Husker Fans' voices are heard in these polls! VOTE!
  8. How can you say that about Nebraska? What kind of fan are you? Oh, wait. Did I take that out of context? Hate when that happens. As I have reported in several other threads, I have been an NU fan for over 5 decades, which is probably more years than you are old. I have been a season ticket holder for the vast majority of those years, cheering the Huskers through thick and thin. I stay until the end of every game. I am an extremely loyal fan. Swing and a miss for anyone who thinks otherwise. Yeah, so I guess I need to explain the sarcasm in my post. I pulled one little statement out of your post that sounds bad when taken out of context. I wasn't really commenting on what you were saying so much as I was showing how something that is taken out of context can sound really bad. Like this tape of Bo, for example. Obviously the tape was not edited, but pulling something from post game two years ago after a game where people were booing and left early and presenting it as if it were something that just happened is taking it out of context. So no offense to you as a fan. Just being a condescending smart ass.
  9. Botrayed, Bowildered, and in a state of dis-Bo-leif. jk. responding to the Bo-Bomb is Bo-neath me.

  11. Nice post. You should do this more often. I agree with most of what you are saying, and I think that once the dust has settled from this game most fans will be back to cheer the team, albeit with a little less rampant optimism.
  12. Well said, Knapp. Nice to read something that makes sense, and makes me feel good about being a fan of the Huskers. Too much anger, despair, chaos, confusion, disappointment and embarrassment swirling around the program and this board right now. I agree with this post wholeheartedly. The negative publicity stirred up by this "person" will hurt Bo, but it will hurt Nebraska more. And that really pisses me off.
  13. How about this: It's unusual, its offensive, and its a formation. voila!
  14. Maybe we should change that. I don't watch a lot of NFL but for those who do, keep your eye out for hits similar to Suh's that he has been fined for, and we'll raise a big stink about them. Not that anyone in the media reads this forum... or do they?
  15. Have fun with your car brawl.. I'm not sure what that entails, but it sounds illegal. Someone might get sent to Juvie...
  16. I hope Jerry Kill is not reading this...
  17. agree with this post. I think that the article was spot-on with its depiction of Nebraska Football.... but he lost me at the "I didn't know where Nebraska was" comment. He is comparing apples and oranges. Even when awareness of Nebraska Football was probably at its highest, in the Ninety's, I would bet you that many people who knew about our football program still did not know where the state is located, or anything about the people of the midwest. An example: I grew up in Rapid City. When Mt Rushmore was having its 50th anniversary we went there to a star-studded (by SD standards) event that was televised nationally. The crowd booed when our then-Secretary of the Interior (under Bush Sr) started his speech with "It's great to be here in the beautiful state of North Dakota!".... ... More recently my wife was in Las Vegas and someone asked her if people ate soup for every meal in SD... ... many of us midwesterners have similar stories, and it has nothing to do with football.
  18. thanks to you as well! I'll check it out.
