  1. Not sure why personal fouls are typical, just 2 years ago they were one of the least penalized teams even having played a perfect no penalty game. If you mean like last year, ok, but it's not really typical of them long term. I dont know, they have had quite a few unsportsman like penalties. They play with a chip on their shoulder all the time....it gets old.
  2. Sparty probably has more personal fouls and unsportsman like penalties that points. And yes their offense can be worse than last year. No more Bell.
  3. All is good, they both put up some points.
  4. Not sure if this is true, but it sounds like the Big Ten is gonna rotate the end of season games between Minn, Iowa, Wiscy and NU. If true, NU would roate between playing Iowa and Wiscy. The same will be true for MSU, PSU, Rutgers and Maryland. I did notice that they are already doing it on the 2016/2017 schedules for the PSU group. Maybe it will be a way to settle in for Wiscy vs NU on the Friday before Thanksgiving. http://snyrutgers.com/rutgers/football/changes-coming-to-big-ten-football-schedules-in-2018/
  5. Should be Wiscy. Its already shaping up. Actually I hope you guys get OU back some day, too.
  6. There is no neutral territory. Here's what you need to know about the rivalry. Ohio State owns Michigan. The only things Michigan can still hang their hat on occurred in the 1800s and while the model T was still in production (their 14 game lead in the head to head rivalry and all but one of their championships) I could go on, but last time I did, I was warned. So I checked the last 30 years of the rivalry on wiki (1983-present) UofM 15 wins OSU 14 wins (counting the 1 that was vacated) 1 tie. Yes, you can alter stats to prove your point. (why 1983? Because OSU won in 1981 and 1982? or just the past 30 years? - but shouldn't that be 1982 since we haven't played 2013 yet?) What I counted, was since Ohio State was a Division I team and not a club team. (1912) So the entirity of OSU as an official football team, we've surpassed by one game, the head to head competition. My apologoies (1981-present) OSU 16 wins (counting the 1 that was vacated) UofM 15 wins 1 tie. Is that better? If I pick the Tressel years OSU wins...Cooper years UofM...so I backed up a another decade and picked a round number.

Terrible. yup. they are owned.

  9. Once again the Michigan guy tosses a grenade and sits back and watches the Ohio guys go nuts.
  10. Thought this might be interesting to post with regard to expansion. http://frankthetank.me/
  11. Was going to re-post some of my favorite lines but that's pretty much the entire article. Its fun to read about longhorn misery.
  12. I thought this was an interesting piece about Texas. It might be relevant to the rumors. http://www.outkickthecoverage.com/texass-deloss-dodds-grapples-with-losing-legacy.php
  13. Joe Schad @schadjoe Oklahoma AD Joe Castiglione on Sirius XM College: I don't believe realignment is over. 12:31pm · 7 Aug 13 · Twitter for iPhone Seems like something is going on. Here is the entire quote. 'I know it may not be popular for me to say it. I don't believe that realignment is over. I don't have any evidence to prove my point. It's just a gut feeling.' I got it from here. http://www.tulsaworld.com/site/printerfriendlyblog.aspx?articleid=21676&PrintComments=1 He says a lot of positive things about the Big 12 in this too. Could mean the Big 12 is looking to expand. Maybe the writing is on the wall with regard to 4 super conferences in this new upper division that will probably be formed with or without the NCAA. I hope not. More than 16 teams is too many. Seems like 5 conferences would be better.
  14. Dodd also re-opened the exapnsion talk after attending the Big Ten media days and writing the quote below. He might be full of crap. http://www.cbssports...ason-media-days 'Big Ten expansion: It isn't done. That's about all I can say. Hint: The conference will begin negotiating on a new TV deal next year. The current contract expires in 2016. Definitely stay tuned.'
  15. Didn't Michigan beat VT in a BCS bowl just 2 years ago? Anyway, I have to defend PSU too. I have been to two games at Beaver Stadium (Iowa,USC). I thought the fans and atmoshere were great. Just my experience, don't need to see any videos of idiots or anything. As for ND Joe, he mentioned to me once that he joined this forum to warn NU against joining the Big10, so he has been here awhile beating the same drum. Best to just ignore him when he brings it up.
  16. You beat this horse to death along time ago. And Michigan hasn't been in the top two in years. I don't' believe it, but if the UT OU chatter is true, that will be 6 marquee programs.
  17. Personally, I would love to go to 16 and use the pod system. We play each other more that way. I would like VIrginia and OU. Screw Texas.
  18. It would probably be 4 team pods versus 2 divs. NU, OU, Texas and Iowa in the west pod maybe. I posted something from Dennis Dood on the older expansion topic ....maybe this is it. Heard a possibility of OU and Texas. Also read UVA, Kansas, and/or MIssouri, but who knows. .............................. Well this started a buzz again.... http://www.cbssports...ason-media-days 'Big Ten expansion: It isn't done. That's about all I can say. Hint: The conference will begin negotiating on a new TV deal next year. The current contract expires in 2016. Definitely stay tuned.' Is Dodd credible? Hope this doesn't mean Uconn and Missouri.

  20. Bummer for me. Loved the Michigan vs. NU games. Great games great fans.
  21. The last game under the lights at the Big House was spectacular and this will be the last one for a long time. Not surprising this is selling out first. Too bad the series is no more.
  22. Not many Michigan fan posts in this thread....plenty from NU and OSU fans. I think Michigan Man just tossed the greneade and left. Entertaining indeed.
  23. No I meant Pryor....not his ring :-)
