Playing not to lose on offense I love it Scott. Clearly you never studied a good coach who knows you don’t let off until the game is 150% out of reach. If you have to play not to lose up by 17 you don’t have a good game plan.

The offense has averaged 2.4 turnovers a game due in large part to the QB play. Also the passing game has been abysmal and QB accuracy/arm strength has been abysmal with Luke and Adrian regressing over 2-3 years. A wee bit more than finger pointing, the offense has been largely ineffective by all units and the quarterbacks are a big part of it.

Scott that’s not a good sign. Shows that the coaches didn’t do their job then. Game plans have been incredibly lackluster this year.

Honestly I wouldn’t mind seeing piper, will farniok, and sichterman/bando from here on. The combinations of starting 5 have gotten beaten like a drum and we need to start playing these guys for meaningful snaps. Also, the other side that was supposed to be our strong suit is the DB core. Where the hell is the senior leadership? Dismuke has played well at times and our younger Db’s deserve more of a look. Scott is way too in his own head with the offense and this team and all 3 phases suffer from the lack of oversight.

Have to admit, this is the most encouraged I’ve been going into a half save for the penn state game. Now if we could come out ready to play after halftime we have a great shot at knocking off iowa.

Two things have to happen if SF is to turn this thing around. Chinander and Verdusco need to be canned. Scott needs to let Lubick call plays. Will it happen? Nebraska football will continue circling the drain until Scott admits the issue.

Watched this and immediately thought of the huskers defense. No one communicating, and many individual assignment play without a lot of trust between the units on defense.

Chinanders issues stem from having way too much assignment football in today’s game. They constantly play reactionary defense to everything rather than set the tone themselves. If you rewatch every game this year and watch the coverage and run assignment busts what stands out is the fact that our guys are often times moving to their assignments contrary to where the play is going from the offense. Opposing offenses scheme up ways to exploit where our guys vacate and adjust very well to Chins scheme. What it tells me is our guys are getting burned because they are constantly out of position. Not because they suck at football. I for one think its time for him to get canned. It’s one thing for your scheme to fail time and time again. It’s another for a total lack of adjusting to offenses and giving up mind boggling offensive stats week in and week out. Ive seen enough from the guy.

I learned that Nebraska is quickly becoming the Dallas cowboys of Midwest college football and I hate the cowboys. Too many cooks in the kitchen and too focused on winning a certain way to ever just be a good football team.

Verdusco hasn’t shown anything that convinces me he should keep his job.

Play aggressive attacking defense. This read and react defense is getting schooled by being out of position all the time. The fact that everyone is consistently out of position tells me it’s Chinander trying to plug a million holes in a sinking ship (his scheme) rather than turning these good players loose and letting them flourish

If Scott wants to keep his job he needs to oust Chinander

The coaching staff will need to do some soul searching in the offseason. Scott needs to hand over the play calling to Lubick and can his buddy chinander

If this is the product at year three I’m not so sure I want to wait to see the product at year 6.

Chin. Scott has given autonomy to the defense and our best unit is our weakest today. They have been trash from the gun and our offense at least put two good drives together

Sick to death of people defending Chins defense. He is garbage and is in way over his head in the big ten
