  1. "Like the whole bag at once?" Yes Lee, the whole bag.
  2. The tunnel walk is fairly accessible and is a cool thing for the kids to get a close up look at the players. Plus if you're down there 30 minutes before kick you'll see players/coaches coming and going. Check out the new foyer in East Stadium, it's like a Husker Football Museum. Yes after the players and staff clear the field they'll open it up and you can toss footballs around, take pictures, just ask an usher. An hour or so after the game the players will be exiting North Stadium by the TO/Brook Statue and if she brings a sharpie she can get some autographs. Load her up on Husker Dogs and Runzas and she won't run out of gas!
  3. Knapp, You just went yard my man. Best thing I have read in some time.
  4. Had some random thoughts this morning about the similarities of the '09 Auburn team which came out of nowhere to win it all in 2010. Maybe I just need to be in Memorial Stadium on the 31st.....What do you think? “The offense finished the season ranked 2nd in the SEC and 16th in the nation (with just under 432 yards per game),while the defense struggled with depth issues and finished 68th and 2nd worst in the SEC.[10] The pass efficiency defense however was 3rd best in the SEC and ranked 22nd in the nation.[11]” In 2009, Auburn was an 8-5 team that played a tough schedule and didn’t lodge a decent in-conference win while managing to lose to the SEC’s best like Bama, LSU and Georgia. They finished the season unranked and off the radar. Sound like any team we know? NU defensively blew it in their three biggest games of the year in addition to stumbling at UCLA in front of Erin it’s a good thing I’m easy on the eyes Andrews and a nationwide Fox telecast. Much like ’09 Auburn, our offense was stellar and our defense clearly struggled. The nation isn’t talking about us, we’re not in the SEC so ESPN won’t either and we’ll be starting the year somewhere in the lower half of the polls and we have a lot of question marks defensively. The Tigers began 2010 ranked #22 and we all know the Scam Newton (definitely NOT my guy) story and how and why he may have chosen Auburn. Despite my detest for him and his body language, he was bigger than the game and clearly could take the game over and dominate. Well we know the rest of the story and I may have forgotten to mention their title run was led by the former coach of the Cyclones who amassed an impressive 5-19 record while at the helm! Gene who? While Taylor isn’t Scam, he IS a big-time, Senior college quarterback who has proven he can take over and dominate a football game. Especially when "playing against road games". Just ask Washington, Okie lite, MSU, etc. I think we can all agree that we will be better on defense, we may have the best offense in the country and we are off the radar. When I met Tommie Frazier at the Husker Huddle at the Capital One Bowl I asked him what is the single most important thing holding NU back. He had one word – turnovers. If Taylor cleans up his act (primarily with respect to fumbles and silly picks) it might allow us to maintain field position, better control the game and be a more efficient, executing machine. Tommie would know. The stage is set. Auburn did it in ’09 with a similar setup. Why not Nebraska?
  5. It's an Adidas Tech Fit compression shirt which you can only buy without the logo. Adidas does not make it available to the public. Same with the Michigan/A&M/Vols shirts as well. You can get the shirt in plain red or white from Eastbay or other outlets.
  6. 1. We may incur a loss, but we will make it to Indy. 2. We will defeat Urb when we get there. 3. Taylor will play good against road games.
  7. Why not? OSU's D wasn't dominant, if we'd had them at home last year it may have minimized our mistakes and kept us in it late in the third and fourth quarters. With all the media press Urb and OSU are the fan favorites to contend, but maybe our young D does enough to let us backdoor into it. Tired of the SEC and ESPNs mancrush on them. Someone has to dethrone. Why the fugg not DONU? I like Koolaid; only if it's Red though. I'll go with bold.
  8. Hi everyone, new guy to this board, Husker Fan of 30 years and proud new season ticket holder in East Stadium. Had a fun encounter in Orlando I thought I'd share.... After a long day trekking through Epcot, waiting in line and paying 6 bucks for super pretzels, we find ourselves in a crowded restaurant at about 10pm with our families kids whining about how tired and hungry they are (as if they’re not at Disney for 3 days, boy they have it rough). I’ve got a tray full of food with my tall, foamy, ice cold brew and can’t wait to get to my table. I was clad as usual in a Nebraska Polo . So as I am headed to my seat this guy walks up to me. I probably had 50 lbs and six inches on this guy and he gets a bit into my personal space (while still holding my food) and says to me “That’s the ugliest f*&king shirt I’ve ever seen!”. I pause a second to collect my thoughts and to somewhat admire the chutzpah of the little guy and respond calmly with “Kansass or Misery?” He says “Missouri”. As I crack a wry smile I say “You poor bastard. How ‘bout that my man?”. It was nice to be hated. The crisp brew went down very, very well.
  9. Congrats Rob, I found out the same a few weeks ago. Being in VA doesn't help, but I'll make it back for the opener and MSU. Family and stubhub will use them otherwise. Can't wait to see a game from up there.
