We are void highs and lows with Bo so far. Medium range has been the staple. Next year has to be different one way or another to validate suooort or confirm a change must be made.

Honestly a finish like this years will all but nail the casket shut. Year 7 had better get us no less than a division title with 12 total wins or more. And just MAYBE a better finish nationally in the turnover department?

The Mizzou to SEC argument is null in the sense they already had the #1 recruit in the nation because he was a Mizzou resident, the SEC logo on the field sells itself. Plus Pinkel has been there for what 15 years, had to shakeout for him sometime.

Normally the staff shakeups wouldnt be an excuse, happens alot. But in the midst of a conference change it had to be a huge factor. Different system different recruiting, on top of reassigning staff/hiring new staff. Yeah it had to have an effect.

Whose to say there isnt a guy waiting in the wings that can take us to glory? By the same token whose to say Bo wont do just that next year? History I suppose but it would be rediculous to ignore what we have in youth/experience/ and talent/potential. Sure the turnovers and fundamentals are mind boggling and Id be lying if I said were gonna get those fixed to perfection. The attitude problem Bo has doesnt bother me in the slightest. Its only a problem because were not winning 12 games a year. Had we won the 09/10/11 conference titles not many Husker fans would care. About his demeanor. Also we just landed the #1 JUCO DT because of Bo 's passion during the Iowa game. ESPN can suck a turd when it comes to painting their image of Bo. Not one sh#t was given when the Baylor AD called us a bunch of stupid corn shuckers because we left the Big 12.

Not going to play that game. The coach that might take Nebraska where we want to go might be a coordinator at the moment or have a short coaching history at an under-the-radar program. Gus Mahlzahn would not have met the standard you just outlined. Nor would Gary Anderson. It's just like recruiting; Pelini can't just pull up the ESPN 150 and hit the trail. Those are the obvious targets; he's got to find the under-the-radar recruit. So it is with us and coaches. In any event, is that what this has become? Sticking with a demonstrably mediocre coach because we are afraid to try and find a good one? Sometimes the devil you know is better than the one you dont. Besides I think the point is that others are looking past the shortcomings and seeing the positives he brings to the table plus the potential the squad he currently has can become. Giving up is the easy way out and when has Nebraska ever taken the easy way. If we cant get it done next year then maybe we mive in a new direction. But what we have in place right now is capable of some pretty fgreat things. Patience is key but too much patience can be bad too. Next year will be telling.
