  1. Citizens United was about free speech. If a group like the ACLU can participate in politics, why can’t the Koch Brothers or Apple? Rich people have always been able to leverage their wealth to have an outsized influence on politics. So what? What constitutes gerrymandering is a matter of opinion. I personally favor gay marriage and oppose abortion, but think the courts probably should have stayed out of both issues.
  2. I was asked to list requirements. According to the Constitution, a President also has to be 35 years of age.
  3. We can’t simply admit everyone who wants to come here. And if we telegraph that you can stay if you bring a kid, guess what happens next...
  4. Here on Bubble Board, where a bunch of like minded lemmings get together to post thread afterthread and post after post bashing the President, my presence is needed more than ever.
  5. Agreed. I think we should all withhold assuming we know who did it or why they did it until the facts are established.
  6. It depends. We want religious organizations to do that sort of work. Some deference has to be given to their beliefs. At first glance, I don’t think an adoption agency discriminating in that way should be receiving federal or state funding.
  7. It makes Warren look like a preening idiot who used her made-up race to gain advantages she wasn’t entitled to. It makes Trump look hilarious.
  8. Being born in America, a citizen, and in the country legally is a good start.
  9. It’s actually an interesting legal argument.
  10. I don’t think anyone has any idea who did it or what their motive(s) were at this point. But everyone should feel free to jump to conclusions and believe whatever is politically beneficial, regardless of the lack of evidence, They call that Christine Blasey Ford Syndrome.
  11. Personally? The fact you can’t understand the difference between one’s personal views and one’s constitutional views is what makes you a liberal. There should be times when your opinions come into conflict with the Constitution and the Constitution has to win out. Surely free speech isn’t too complex a concept for you to grasp?
  12. Yeah, a cheerleader and another UNL student committed suicide that way a few years ago. The signs went up shortly afterward. An article I read about the cheerleader’s suicide it was the 5th suicide committed that way in the past 3 years. So it was a real problem.
  13. Martinez is the real deal. Barring injury, he could compete for a Heisman or three and play on Sundays. Morgan is a baller. Spielman is a star, he catches everything near him, has unbelievable quickness, and is a very smart football player. Oz is kicking butt and he and Washington are a good one-two punch. The offensive line actually played well today. When we play relatively clean football, this team is going to be fun to watch. Frost’s playcalling is really shining too, he’s putting players in positions that suit their skills and making the defense defend the whole field. The defense is still rough. Coverage is spotty and inconsistent. Tacking still needs a lot of work. But the biggest problem on defense is the almost non-existent pass rush. We desperately need a dominant defensive lineman or three who can get to the passer. That has to be at or near the top of the priority list in recruiting.
  14. Because he’s clearly not the brightest bulb. He was also a self-described pothead slacker. So it seems clear that he got into Harvard based on being bi-racial and possibly claiming to be an immigrant. The fact he won’t simply release his records seems to confirm that.
  15. Yawn. The women we have been talking about lately are almot invariably opponents of the Kavanaugh nomination.. who are deranged protestors and fit that description. But that’s not all women. Not even close. Most women are just as horrified by the walking and shrieking freakshows as I am.
  16. Living them better than either of the Clintons. It’s all relative.
  17. If you assume he was speaking literally, of course not. But it seemed clear to me that was simply hyperbole.
  18. No President I can remember has had serious questions raised about how they got into a particular school or how they did there...aside from GW and Obama.
  19. It depends. Most of the records the Dems whined about weren’t his records, but merely documents that crossed his desk. Yes, I think Presidential candidates should disclose their personal tax returns.
  20. Yes, Trump was more qualified. Hillary had held some impressive titles, but was gifted those by being married to Bill. And she has been an abject failure at every job she’s ever held. Actually, that whole deal blew up in Fauxcohontas’ face like an ACME rocket.
  21. If Obama was such a stellar student, then why not simply release the records? And yes, Hillary was under a subpoena when she destroyed those records. She should have been prosecuted for that.
  22. You’re confusing shrieking with mocking. I pretty much ignored this thread until I was summoned here. It’s simply not worth my time. I can read about what an evil mean crazy misogynistic racist jerk you and the rest think Trump is on one of the other 200 threads where you’re making the same points over and over to the same people. It’s boring. It’s a discussion board where there’s very little actual discussion. Thank God I’m here. Yeah, Trump = Hitler. Got it. This is unbelievable.
  23. Post something worth commenting on and I’ll be happy to chime in. Until then, this thread is like roughly 200 others that the 99% of the Board who are anti-Trumpers post. It’s simply tiresome. Welcome to Bubble Board, where virtually everyone agrees on virtually everything. Some ‘discussion’ board. Of course there are right-wing extremists, just like there are left-wing extremists. Lately, there seem to be more left-wing crazies, but that could be because they’re so visible. The endless parade of hairy, angry, and shrieking lesbians in vagina hats is hard to forget.
