This statement in itself is true, but no one on his current staff has experience with the recruiting challenges of Nebraska. Recruiting the Rust Belt vs recruiting the 500 mile radius of Lincoln.....night and day different. ......and does he bring his OC with him?

This isn't necessarily true. I don't know who it'll be but other than a couple of big time names like Meyer, Joseph probably has the ability to put together the best assistant coaching staff for Nebraska's specific situation than other names mentioned like Deboer or Kleiman. And those names matter more than ever before with recruiting needs. If Fickell is hired, most people know Tressel and Coombs on the Bearcat staff and that's about it. .....and Coombs was fired by Ryan Day.

The B1G has some of the elite assistant coaches in the country. I'm not confident either Fickell or Deboer has a rolodex to get it done at Nebraska.

Another issue with preference of head coaches is we don't know what staff they would assemble. And most head coaches are loyal to the assistants who have helped them achieve the success they have thus far. Could Fickell assemble a quality staff at Nebraska? Could Deboer?

What is a tier 1 coach and how many of them are there?

You don't have to blindly or otherwise throw your fan cash at anything you don't want to. Nor does any other fan. Choices.

Also market contract value. Stoops got moved up to $8.6 mil. What is Auburn going to shell out? And obviously to whom? Is $8 mil going to get it done for Nebraska? $9 mil?

Kiffin is Auburn's lead guy, but Kiffin is an expert at leverage.

Stop worrying about what Alberts is doing. Once Kiffin decides what he's going to do things will roll quickly. Kiffin has all the leverage right now....he's in no hurry.

If you count Mickey Joseph, one to two coaches prefer Nebraska. The rest would prefer Auburn.

My point exactly.....Auburn is the job at the top of the food chain currently.

There's a probability no coach has been hired yet....which would also be a reason there's no announcement. Other dominoes might need to fall first and it probably starts with Auburn's choice.
