1. He isn't a true freshman - Hate this argument, because in may ways he is, even though he has been on campus 1 year. When he got experience time, he was playing against potentially 6th year seniors. Because all the older guys got to come back one more year, there was no elevation in class status. IE. Playing against opponents his age or younger. While he has the benefit of knowing the playbook better. He is still playing against guys who still held significant age, physical development, and experience development over him. This is true in regard to our offensive line as well, and is the only thing that gives me hope that Benhart and Corcoran can mature into decent linemen as the older guys on other teams actually have to shuffle off this year. --- It is interesting that some folks are able to recognize this when poo pooing Chinanders success with the defense this year, but refuse to acknowledge it when discussing the the development of our offense. Just as our defense was greatly boosted by many returning 6th year guys, our young offense was stunted by returning 6th year guys on opposing defenses.

Yup, that solidifies it. Run that damn ball guys gonna be happy. It's for sure Brian Ferentz. Had to wait until after the smoking in the Conf. Championship.

Someone truly has it out for Frost IMO. Maybe the ghost of LP lives inside North Stadium, but crap like this and the nonstory "practice infractions" are getting leaked to screw with him. Interesting bookends the season with hit pieces like this. Additionally, I believe both happened to leak on a Friday to ensure th fan base got good and worked up over the weekend. Also note, it was leaked to steal the thunder from the first bit of good news Nebraska has had in a while with Joseph coming on board.

So, not that we want this to happen, but.... with Mickey Joseph on board, I wondered if we could potentially fill our offensive staff, not just with former Huskers, but more specifically with former Husker QBs. We know it starts at the top. HC - Scott Frost WR - Mickey Joseph QB- Turner Gill/ Joe Ganz/ Gerry Gdowski RB/ ST - Eric Crouch OC- Joe Dailey OL- Frazier's big enough maybe Each has coached their position in college ball at some point. Maybe there are others I am not aware of. Feel free to fill in. Again, this is not realistic, just fun to think about.

Can't believe we'd go get a top flight WR coach just to run Army's offense. One of these isn't happening IMO.

Frost shouldn't give 2 damn cents about whether or not the "fans," are ready for a change at QB. The only thing that matters is whether or not Frost thought he was better off with Martinez at the helm than without, or if as someone who truly cared about Martinez the person, he thought it was better for Martinez to get a fresh start. The "fans," should not factor into that equation at all, whatsoever.

I do believe part of the reason Adrian was so hesitant is because of how much preaching he received about cutting down turnovers. - Probably was, he wasn't really an ias much an interception machine as he was a fumble machine.

Offensive coordination can now bring in his own QB. Rattler and the guy from Oklahoma would be a good package deal. Where else might there be a 1-2 combo?

In my initial post, I identified that Armstrong was the last recruit from 2012. Prior to that, would have been Martinez, but he was not a QB recruit. Before that, Zac Lee maybe, Ganz probably would have been the last. We have had very very few QBs stick around for their whole career since Solich was let go.

I believe Morgan announced a day or two ago that he was returning for his 5th year of rowing the boat.

Recall 2012 was pre-portal. That is almost a full decade of QB recruits not finishing careers at Nebraska.

Is Vedral done? McCaffery, O'Brien? Don't have time to track where they all are.

This would also mean that no QB recruits since Tommy Armstrong in 2012 will have played the entirety of and completed their careers at NU, unless I'm mistaken. That is insane!

The thing I hate most about this is that Martinez is the all time record holder in many categories offensively here. Think about honoring classes and building relationships with former players for long term donations, support, and eventually legacy recruits. If our guys don't even get to finish their careers here, our chances for all those things go down dramatically. It sucks for program building. Think about Suh and the huge contribution he made for the weight room, or how Frosts former teammantes - for better or worse come back and help the team with speeches and tweaking Jurgens snap form so he could be more reliable. That's the kind of stuff we are losing out on incredibly on situations like this. Wandale, Spielman too.

Disappointing, I really wish he would have hung it up or returned here. I hope he goes someplace out of the BIG10 and tears it up behind an Oline that allows him to maximize his talents... I also really hope Frost didn't cave to the boo birds and refuse him back. Pretty bummed about this one. Also makes it a lot harder for Frost next year IMO.
