  1. Why do all our runningbacks run so verticle.??
  2. Seems like a screen play would be a good call, maybe we can't run those either???
  3. Are we incapable of throwing a 10 yard quick slant? I have never seen us run that route.
  4. Just as Illinois is better than advertised due to being the most experienced team in the NCAA. Northwestern returns some of the fewest and is likely worse than most years.
  5. Hahahaha... BIG refs icing the game for Mich St. Now too... back to back phantom holds to ensure no last drive.
  6. He's what 55-60??? Might as well see if Solich wants another crack at it.
  7. Yeah!!!! Give McCaffery a try!!! Martinez needs to be benched! ------ Oh wait. Sorry. Thought your post was from last year. How'd that turn out?
  8. Not enough. You gotta swing the hat. Swinging the hat shows you are fully in command and energetic and emotional enough to rally the players.
  9. EFF that.... the refs are supposed to call an even game. That call essentially iced the game for Ohio State. Had the refs done as they were supposed to, the fumble would have been overruled and Minnesota would have had a first down plus penalty yards. Screw the Big. It is clear the refs are told before the game who is supposed to win. They make the calls that make that happen. Just like our Roughing/ taunting call that overturned an int. Just like the offensive PI call, just like the holding, on tour's long reception. Its all to create the outcome the Big wants. EDIT: The refs also pulled the cute back to back penalties game against Minny in the 3rd quarter to prevent Minny from answering Ohio States 1st touchdown in the 3rd quarter. Questionable holding call and I forget what the other was put Minney back at 2nd and 30.
  10. Not even same hit... Deonte clearly turns his whole body trying to avoid the contact... the Ohio State kid did no such thing making the no call even more egregious.
  11. Most absolutely freaking annoying thing about that no call is that, Ohio State gets a no call ON A PLAY THAT WAS APPARENTLY REVIEWED IN SLOW MOTION AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A PENALTY. And we get called on stuff the announcers and even opposing fans are like.... "yeah, I don't know why the refs called that a penalty. Didn't look like one to me."
  12. Same guy would be bashing the heck out of Nebraska if the same play happened.
  13. You know that flag would have been out before the players hit the ground if it was a Husker tackling.
  14. How the heck is that not a targeting hit??? Led with his helmet.
  15. Cuz half the time he's in front of a camera he's explaining a loss??? And if he smiles then he doesn't take it seriously enoug. God forbid he mention ice cream...
  16. Lol nah if your personable and energetic on the sidelines in Nebraska you get labeled a maniac. We need a stoic who chews gum. That is until they lose, then we need an energetic personable maniac.
  17. His test run as interim at Ohio State, our largest comeback in school history. Knocking out his starting qb, etc. His 6-6 season is why he lost out.
  18. Ha we are the reason Luke Fickle isn't HC at Ohio State. Would be completely ironic if he came here. I don't think he'll leave the state of Ohio though.
  19. Ha! When the heck has Nebraska gotten this? As far as I can tell we aren't going to have this anytime in the near future either.
  20. I'm willing to see how the season plays out. I've seen teams lose early season games by a 45 point rule just to come back and avenge that loss on the way to a championship season. Sometimes things just snowball.
  21. If Frost plays these guys in spite of their practice habits his detractors will flip the story to, "He lost the team by not holding gifted players accountable." That was already a gripe with Washington. Frost is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.
  22. Answer: And this is hypothetical, I have no inside knowledge. In practice Manning and Betts go hard 50% of practice reps and relax/ half arse the other 50%. Frost is trying to build a culture of 100%; 100% of the time, so he rewards the less physically gifted kid who goes as hard as he can every single rep in practice. In theory a less physically gifted kid who gives his all and is where he is supposed to be 100% of the time is a better asset on the field than a more gifted kid who is only where he is supposed to be 50% of the time.
