  1. mine was, i can't speak for the others. As fo runnings backs, I could easily see us getting a very good back this year. Not all kids look at who is in front of them and expect to play all four years without competition, some are willing to come in and work for a spot. I expect this recruiting class to be a very good one. In the recruiting game, patientice is important. Remember, Freeman committed early last year and we all know how that worked. I would love to see us have 5-10 recruits by now, but i would rather have all the recruits be sure of their decision rather than committ early and then change their mind.
  2. Nope, we have no shot at anyone this year. I've actually heard we are going to skip recruiting this year because we aren't going to get all 5 star players.
  3. USC QB Mark Sanchez was arrested for Sexual Assault. This would have huge ramifications on our game with them if he is in fact found guilty and kicked off the team. Sanchez arrested
  4. not anymore....sh#t, we lost another big name........ hunter Said he liked NU, but has family ties to USC, and is from SoCal, pretty much a no brainer for him.
  5. I'm fairly certain the fumble was when he was under center.
  6. I don't know about the INT's but I know he fumbled a snap from center that was returned for a TD. One thing is for sure, he's going to have to learn to take care of the ball better then he has in the past.
  7. HAHAHAHA Nebraska goes 8-4 and finishes in the top 25 and have most of their best players returning, but they will be lucky to finish in the top 25 Ohio goes 4-7 and they are a team on the rise your credibility is about as good as your idol's
  8. It's between him and a RS Freshman for the starting job. I really don't care what he does, no ill will, but he doesn't play for my team anymore, so I could really care less.
  9. Free article from Rivals has good news. Still early, but looks like we are in good shape. Huskers have slight edge
  10. A team (or message board, in this case) is only as strong as it's weakest link. Benard, you are the weakest link, GOODBYE! ME ---> <---Benard
  11. No, he was definitely NOT an option QB. They ran a form of the WCO. I'm not sure exactly how similar it was to ours, but it definitely stressed the passing game. I can assure you Taylor was NOT running the option at Butler.
  12. Ain't that the truth. Plus Leon, B-Jax, and Wilson. Depth is a great thing
  13. I guess we will see on Saturday. Then we won't have to rely on second hand reports. I can't wait
  14. Red shirting either B-Jax or Wilson isn't going to help our situation out a whole lot. IF either of them red shirt that means we they will be juniors just like Glenn and Lucky. The only guy that makes sense to red shirt would be Leon, and that is contingent on how much he could contribute. If he is going to sit 4th or 5th string and not see much time, a red shirt is probably a good idea, but if he shows that he con contribute in situations or even contend for playing time, you have to give your team the best chance to win.
  15. I think they were talking about giving Carriker some snaps, you know he played QB in high school. Three QB's should be plenty. Taylor will play the whole first half and maybe some of the second. Ganz will get lots of reps and Davis should get a lot in the second. My guess is we stress the running game anyway, so having a reduced number of QB's isn't going to be that big of a deal. I don't see the coaches putting people there just for the sake of having more bodies.
  16. Game starts at 12:30. Gates should open at 11:00
  17. I'd have to agree. Coach Gruden isn't the type to BS. He tells it like it is. He just happens to see a pretty good team developing at Nebraska. I agree with what you said but do you think he would come here and say we suck. Of course he wouldn't come here and say we suck, but he wouldn't have to give all the praise he did either. Someone like Gruden doesn't just say things like "I wouldn't be where I am without Bill Callahan" or saying how Nebraska is such a football institution if he didn't really believe it.
  18. I can assure you, our coaches don't choose who plays by "hype" They play who they think gives them the greatest chance at success, regardless of position.
  19. Herian himself said he would be back to 100%. If this is true, we will see this fall, but at least it shows that he is confident that he is going to be back where he was before the injury. With a spot in the NFL on the line, you have to believe that he is going to work his arse off to get to the highest level he can.
  20. I think some people put too much stock into who the "starter" is. Reggie Bush didn't always "start" at I-back every game, but it was obvious he was the best running back they had. Whoever starts the game is really irrelevant, it's what they do when they get in. I think both Lucky and Glenn will get a lot of reps early on with L-Jax getting in situations and as a change up. The first two games of the season will be a real test as to who is going to get more carries than the others. Regardless who "starts" I think both Lucky and Glenn will get plenty of carries with L-Jax getting more as he proves himself. Also, Kenny Wilson is the wildcard. It's tough to know exactly how he will fit into the offense once he gets on campus. He may easily unseat both Lucky and Glenn or he may struggle to understand the playbook and adjust to the d-1 game. Nobody knows. The only thing for sure is we have great depth and that is something that is never a bad thing.
  21. How do we from being in his top 4, to not even being in his top 6? Did we stop recruiting or does he just not want to come here?
  22. Well thank God you're not running things! You think they should get raises after 5 and 8 wins? Some coaches get fired for 10 wins. Name me a coach who got fired after winning 10 games? Solich sure as hell didn't, he was fired after going 9-3. Name me a coach that got fired after winning 10 games, please.
  23. Why would it be harder to stay healthy this year? That doesn't make any sense. First of all the o-line is going to be better. How much better is the question, but it is pretty obvious it's going to be better than last year. Secondly, Taylor is a year stronger and a year wiser. He knows how to avoid hits better this year and is stronger to be able to take some punishment. I just don't see why, if he was able to take the beating he did last year, that he would be MORE likely to get hurt this year. Obviously he could get injured, as any player at any school could, but to say it is more likely is absured. Please explain why you think this way, I would be interested to hear your rational.
  24. Well thank God you're not running things!
  25. Definition of a Troll: 1. Makes statements he can't back up or even explain. 2. Most posts don't consist of more than a sentence or two. 3. Makes personal attacks on people for no apparent reason. I truly hope you are a fan of another team, as I assume you are. It's sad that you spend time on other teams sites spewing crap like this. As for me, I will just ignore you from now on and hopefully you will leave, on your own or be banned.
