I'm getting all this from the LJS blog....supposedly K. Wilson is ruled out of this. it sounds like someone else. It doesn't sound like Roark either.

There is a rumor that an unidentified football player is seriously sick and is probably going to be forced to quit football. I don't know who it is, but it sounds like it could be Kenny Wilson from some the recent troubles he has been going through. Anybody heard anything on this?

I believe there are two positions open at the moment on the coaching staff---recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach. Someone correct me of I'm wrong. Does anybody know when he will announce who he has chosen for those positions? I assume somebody from within will take over as recruiting coordinator, but what does everyone think about the tight ends coach---will he come from within or outside? Anybody have any guesses?

I watched his videos on youtube. Between those and the article above, I think this guy is gonna turn out to be pretty good. I like his attitude...he's confident, but not like Harrison Beck when he first showed up. I thought he made some pretty good throws on the videos I watched, and he is pretty good on his feet. I can't wait to see him develop and be our first true project--freshman to senior--hopefully.

he would still have to go JUCO for two years right? What's the probability that he doesn't go JUCO? If he does go JUCO does this mean we can sign him and another guy...say J. Love for example?

having played with Potter in high school, I am very interested to see how he does this year, and I hope he does well. That being said, I am interested to see if his work ethic has improved since high school. He was not known to hang out in the weight room very much to say the least. He definitely has the potential to be good. Hopedully he'll be the next Grant Wistrom (I know, a tall order...but he does wear #98)

I was being sarcastic about Pelini and even McBride. I agree that Pelini is a classless act and I believe that is part of the reason he was not hired here, and I'm happy about it. Although, is there someone at LSU who fits the Pelini defensive mind mold w/o the personality mold? I don't think anyone can argue that LSU doesn't have a good defense.

I for one would like to see him go....that said I don't know who I would want to come in for DC. Pelini? M. Sanders? McBride?

he had some good ones against Kstate, but my favorite was where went up the middle, bounced it out to the left, almost tripped, regained his balance, then instead of going out of bounds as a defender was coming, he stayed in bounds and knocked the defender down first before going out of bounds. How's that for a run-on sentence?

one thing I don't like about Lucky is that he seems to twinkle toe in the back field and is indecisive in picking the hole to run through. He just seems to not hit the holes quick enough...maybe he's just trying to be patient, I dunno. Honestly though, as of right now, I don't see what he was hyped up to be. He's doesn't seem big enough to run over anybody, and rarely does he dance around someone. I'm expecting Kenny Wilson to be the man next year...I think he has the tools and potential to be our most complete back next year.

Got an email from huskers illustrated saying we lost a recruit due to not qualifying academically. Who is it? Is this recruiting class now doomed? What does it imply as far as a scholarship opening up?

IMO, Holtz also showed his ignorance when he said NU's chances are slim when playing on the road. While this may be true on the surface, I wonder if he knows there's gonna be 60k plus wearing husker red at the game. Factor in the weather, and I think one could make a strong argument that this game will likely be one of the most home-like atmospheres for NU when they haven't played at Memorial Stadium. GBR!!!!!!!!!!!! .

IMO Bernard Jackson (CU's QB) is not a very good passer to begin with, and it seems like he throws quite a few INT's under pressure. His strength is in scrambling, and since he can't throw it well, he tends to scramble often. They still have Hugh Charles from last year as their speedy RB, and then a guy from Wayne State who is a bigger running back. I don't think they have much for TE's as their two good ones from last year are in the pros now. Defensively, I think they are close to decent. I think they have a pretty good LB corps led by Jordan Dizon. Their best player, as far as prospective pro talent goes, is their kicker Mason Crosby. My friend says he has kicked 75 yarders in practice.....probably with the wind and no line in front of him, but nonetheless, not too shabby. I really hope we blow these guys out...looks like it'll be my first husker game that I'll be able to attend since watching them play CU in '01.....ahhh the memories

So Texas A&M would have to win at Texas, and Oklahoma would have to win at BOTH Baylor and OSU in order for use to play OU? Is that correct? I don't know who I would want to play....Texas w/o McCoy or OU who we haven't played this year. We know we take it to the wire with a healthy Texas team.......I dunno

I think it would be a good thing to have someone who has some experience playing QB in the pros or having someone who coached pro qb's as NU's QB coach.

I think some of you guys and the media are being a bit harsh. The guy is human just like you and me... Just because he is religious clergy member doesn't mean that he never makes a mistake. Sure he says to do one thing and the did the opposite...but no one is perfect.
