  1. Wow. I think that is the first time I've seen Farley interviewed on the sideline. Has he not been back ever?
  2. I wouldn't be too quick to speculate that Red is 1st & 2nd team. It looks more like a 1 & 3 versus 2 & 4 split to me. Stovall? Out sick?
  3. Or, maybe they are actually splitting 1s and 2s to separate teams. Makes sense from the RB split and what has been reported from camp. Red White 1st team 2nd team QB Gebbia QB Bunch RB Bell RB Bradley 3rd team 4th team QB Martinez QB Vedral RB Wilbon RB Ozigbo
  4. Well, per the OWH article by Sam in Feb. there were around 9,000 less scanned tickets for the NW game in comparison to the Wisconsin game, however both of the reported attendances were around 89,000. So, I don't think the amount of non-ticketed attendance varies by 9,000.
  5. I don't know. I'm not ready to anoint Haskins as some great QB just yet (or Tua from Alabama for that matter) based off of results from playing part of a game. I've seen that scene play out way too many times where the backup QB with a different skill set looks like the second coming because the defense doesn't know how to react and gets "brain freeze" because they game planned to handle the starting QB and his weaknesses. I'll let them start for a season first before I see how they rate. Also, right now it appears that the QB room has great chemistry. I don't know if you want to take the risk of messing that up by bringing in a grad transfer.
  6. I think it was a timing (or mistiming) issue. I think Verduzco thought the press release about Patrick asking for and being granted his release was supposed to happen before practice was over. The first thing he said was something to the effect that I'm guessing you guys have heard about Patrick. When the reporters said no, he then had to backtrack a little and say that POB wasn't at practice and he'll leave it up to the reporters to figure out why.
  7. We are Nebraska Cornhusker fans. We should at least be 1 tier above the dregs of society.
  8. I don't know. I thought Callahan presided over some fairly decent O-line play, especially 2006 when Austin was a senior. I seem to remember a lack of O-Line depth and injuries (guys playing at 75% or so) being the main O-line bugaboo during Callahan's short stint at Nebraska.
  9. I know. Do we really need "nana nana boo boo" posts? What are we a bunch of second graders?
  10. It would be cool to hit teams with the bigger "M" package of Morgan, McQuitty, McGriff for the body blows and then roll out 4 wide "super fast" set with Spielman, Lindsey, Mike Williams, and Woodyard for the knockout uppercuts.
  11. Everyone was so sure that Peyton Newell was grad transferring to KSU that they already had him off their total scholarship numbers in their heads.
  12. I know the Big 12 had a rule that you had to sit out 2 years if you transferred from another school in conference. I don't know if the B1G has a similar rule, but I don't think it does. If you look at a list of schools that fit his style, a lot of B1G would be on it: Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Wisconsin.
  13. I know it is higher than Thomas Grayson is currently ranked, but 3-star Jonathan Taylor was only the 44th ranked rb (by 247 sports) in May of 2016 when he was committed to Rutgers and Wisconsin offered. His only offers from "big time" programs were from Wisconsin and Va Tech in May of 2016. He did not decommit from Rutgers until October of 2016 and committed to Wisconsin a few days later in November of 2016. It wasn't like a ton of teams were beating down the door for this guy as no one else offered after those two May offers and his rankings kept increasing at Rivals and 247. So, just because he ended up being a damn good RB and fairly highly ranked by the services in the end doesn't mean everyone thought so at the time of his recruitment.
  14. That's for the team and coaches to know and for message board posters to waste hours and hours speculating on.
  15. Although he did say that 2 have started separating themselves and that they would need to get those guys more reps to get the team prepared to play football, which they did start doing a little bit today. QBs are usually a pretty smart lot, so, they probably see the writing on the wall after today's practice.
  16. I watched his HUDL highlights. All he does is run for touchdowns.
  17. Right now it seems like they are trying to develop a cross rivalry with Nebraska and Ohio State. For all of the currently released B1G schedules, NU plays tOSU every year.
  18. Hmm....says the person with 12,000+ posts.
  19. Gary Anderson and Brett Bielema? You staking your reputation on those two guys?
  20. Really? A team that has superior talent doesn't go 1-6, getting blown out multiple times and never blowing out the other team.
  21. I don't think recruiting rankings are the end all of analysis, but from my previous link. OSU - 955.51 UM - 874.89 PSU - 779.49 NU - 693.46 MSU - 680.94 Wisky - 639.76 NW - 627.54 Iowa - 593.93 We are much closer in talent to Michigan State, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Iowa than we are to Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State. And, that is exactly how the games have played out since we have been in the Big 10.
