  1. Here's something I just ran across. UNL is under investigation for a Title IX violation. From an October Daily Nebraskan article: Federal officials are investigating the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for not adequately responding to sexual assault claims, the Daily Nebraskan has learned. http://www.dailynebraskan.com/briefs/unl-under-investigation-for-potential-title-ix-violation/article_5e03bd9c-4b4f-11e4-b4a2-0017a43b2370.html
  2. He couldn't appeal until 1/2/15. It's not up to UNL to tell him "nope" until the appeal is filed. If Avery was a 3rd string walk-on from Kearney, I would guess this thread doesn't reach page 2.
  3. I think this is news to a lot of us who have only ever followed this situation superficially and with the understanding of "Avery has done everything they asked of him, we'll know more soon". Jay Moore included. I think that Willie is spot on. All we ever heard was the "he is doing everything" line, but where was that coming from? Moss's side. The only thing that UNL owed him was a chance to appeal on a certain date. And he did that and it was denied fairly quickly (5 business days). Rightly or wrongly, sexual assault on college campuses has become a hot button issue lately, see Michigan, FSU, Oregon, and even that bogus Virgina story. The UNL administration did in their eyes what they thought was best. I can't really fault them for that. The bottom line is that Avery screwed up. We wouldn't have a 7+page thread if he wasn't a very promising player with NFL-caliber size/skills. I hope that he has learned from this episode (from his comments it sounds like this is true) and is able to make the most of his life going forward.
  4. Don't forget Ted Gilmore and his awesome coordination of recruiting.
  5. I can't wait to see what this new recruiting support staff can do with a full year to get the 2016 class, and two years to get the 2017 class.
  6. I haven't mooned anyone, and this is probably the most ridiculous defense of Moss yet. Which is truly saying something. How weird, i was specifically thinking of you. Ok, so you havent mooned anyone. Have you ever done anything wrong? Nm, dont answer, i already know the answer. Its not about have you mooned someone, its about people crucifying him and acting as if they are perfect which you are a great example of. I spose you never needed a second chance huh?? So, Moss was given a second chance.... Bingo. I think the story goes he whipped it out, got banned from campus for X amount of time. Then he was caught visiting his girlfriend in the dorms and then got the 4 year ban handed down. Is this correct?
  7. Looks like he committed there.
  8. That was the final four, no? No. I remember something last year in football. You could watch the game on one of 4 different channels. ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPNU, and ESPNNEW. And 2 of them had something to do with one of each team exclusively. But I just cant remember what it was. It may very well have not been the radio 'cast. Maybe it was team stat tracking or something. But I remember something. I get all 4 stations and I know some do not. But I remember turnin between all 4. Ah, in my link above about last year you could get the team radio broadcast on ESPN3. And they did have different "themes" on each TV channel.
  9. Last year's link http://espnmediazone.com/us/press-releases/2014/01/multiple-espn-personalities-coaches-players-celebrities-contribute-to-bcs-megacast-of-championship/
  10. Correct. They did it last year as well. The film room channel was by far the most interesting besides the game broadcast. IIRC, I think they had one that featured Tebow and Manziel talking about the game as well.
  11. All I can hear in my head is Jim Ross saying: "Oh my god! That's Scott Frost's music!"

  13. E Lee is my MVP of this recruiting class. He seems like the guy who held (most of) it together during the coaching search. His peer recruiting has been phenomenal. Can't wait to see him in a blackshirt.
  14. Tennessee's 28 commits 3 QBs 3 RBs 4 OT 1 TE 1 WR 3 DT 4 DE 2 LB 3 CB 1 S 1 ATH 1 P 1 LS
  15. Well Butch did go 7-6 this year. Give him some credit I'm sure they will be top 20 preseason next year. Because SEC
  16. The kids should be smart enough going in to know that if aren't on the 2 deep by year 2, they will be cut. Or at least other schools should be telling them this.
