  1. Sorry to tell you, but Solich had already achieved mediocrity. Pederson tried to reverse that but he could not. Solich was making moves to correct things. Remember he actually fired the DC & pulled in Pelini to be the DC in 2003. Solich was in the NC game in 2001. Yes, Miami kicked the crap out of NU that year, but this was a '01 Canes team that most consider a top 5 all-time team. Most on this board would put them only behind the '95 & '71 Husker teams. IMO Perlman & Pederson were the direct downfall to NU football. They listened to the talking heads & made the decison that ended the offensive identity to NU football & it has never recovered. That would not have fixed the poor recruiting, Adding another poor recruiter in Pelini was not a fix and Solich could not close a screen door.
  2. Oh, say its not true.......... CM certainly will, even with the facts staring him in the face.
  3. They have a bunch of them on staff right now. You might want to pay a little more attention to the recruiting forum during the next couple of months. I agree with RADAR...this current class looks like it could fall in the 15-20 range A lot of big names with high interest. Hopefully the chips will start to pile up soon. 15-20 seems reasonable for the first full class, within my expectations as well.
  4. Because the only written instance of this happening is a single tweet. The only corroboration to it is from a poster who said Armstrong was retarded, so forgive us for skepticism against someone with bias so strong he insults our own players. I believe I called him stupid, (a widely held concept) not retarded Nice that you are calling reporters liars because you say you don't have enough evidence to suit you. gotta love it! Oh, ok, so that totally makes it better. And FYI, that's literally journalism 101. You provide a source or proof. In the day of twitter, everyone just cites "sources" and every rumor is given credence. SMH... Everyone can get away with it nowadays. However, in many cases, information is often Tweeted out, substantiated by "sources," corroborated by other journalists and then the experts in the situation (in this scenario, the players and coaches) offer statements or answer questions in relation to the Tweeted material. By what I'm seeing, this story at best got to stop three and the corroboration by other journalists was spotty and inconsistent at best. We shouldn't even be talking about it at this point because of this. As I stated previously. My source is involved with the football program and is not media. I will not reveal who it is. However, based on their observation and the local medias reporting of the situation, it seemed to be swept under the rug. Maybe because it was perceived that it was not a big deal. Who knows. Sean Callahan has stated several times that there are some things that happen at practice that he will not report on.

  7. Time to quit while you can. You should think about moving onto a subject you know something about.
  8. Well, that killed some brain cells.
  9. With out a doubt, some were, not all. 1990 and 1991 come to mind as seasons that ended with a lot of squarllering from the fans and media during Tom's tenure.
  10. Not the best but much better than the dolts that called for them to be fired after 3 games. They did a pretty decent job this year and as the putty they have to work with improves, they will be better as well.
  11. I like the design of his offense. I think with a better QB it will be pretty good. But my issue is how he calls plays. I don't think he has a very good idea of how to fit them all together. For sure the running game part of it. Kind of like he seems to be a pretty good architect but sucks as an engineer. If you had a hodgepodge of players, some that fit what you want to do and many that do not, as a coach it might be difficult to call a consistent game. You might want to wait to judge for a couple of years. Yep. It should definitely take a couple more years to figure out you shouldn't ask Armstrong and Fyfe to chuck it 45+ times in a game. I shouldn't have to tell you this, but Langsdorf is calling plays to the teams strengths. Unlike you and many have said here.
  12. Time to move on into 2015 where Eichorst was booed at Memorial Stadium. The fans were scum for doing that. I remember when Bob Brown was honored in Memorial stadium, it was the first time he returned since he played. Pederson introduced him. The fans booed and he thought it was about him. Sickening. Nebraska fans are a$$hole$ sometimes. Brown did not think it was about him. Stop making things up. Yes he did, I was close enough to see the reaction on his face. Imagine a hall of famer comes back for the first time in 40 years and the crowd boos when you are introduced. He has not been back. Nebraska fans can be a$$hole$ and they were on that day and also when Eichorst was booed this year. If he had not been back in 40 years prior to that, why should it be surprising that he has not been back in the past 10? *crickets* You can buy raid to take care of those. Glad I could help.
  13. Those fans don't exist. Again you're misinterpreting. Nobody is saying that, just like no one was saying it was okay to lose to a terrible Purdue team when you said that's what people were saying. Believe it or not it is possible to discuss this without thinking those things. IMO losing to Purdue by even 1 point is bad enough without having to exaggerate and make crap up about how it was a blowout. Saying it wasn't a blowout is simply trying to put lipstick on a pig, which also happens to be the worst program loss is 60 years. We were down at least 2 scores, the last 20 minutes of the game. At no point did we possess the ball with the chance to get it to a one score game during that period. The fact is, Nebraska was out coached, and out played in that game, and it showed. So, only the final score matters in some games, ones that you deem ??????? Hell, its hard to follow your thinking..
  14. And Callahan was fired on November 23rd. Givens stayed committed but took visits. He committed to CU on 12/18/07. That doesn't look like "much earlier" to me. To continue, here are some of the top guys and when they de-committed. Gabbert: De-committed 10/25/07 Hoch: De-committed 1/8/08 Givens: De-committed 12/18/07 Gray: De-committed 10/18/07 Reiff: De-committed 12/20/07 There ya go,quite a class, CM is quite revisionist, If Callahan would have been given a year or 2 more, who know what type of talent he could have brought here. Vindicated again. I really love how badly you guys want to discredit me and yet you fail every time.
  15. And yet they still play all four. Many a team has been down 30 or so (BLOW OUT) and came back and won. That is why only the final score matters. Get it now? Really? I'm pretty sure exactly 2 teams have trailed by 30 in all of college football history and managed to come back and win. But it was a 1st half deficit, not a 4th quarter deficit. LINK? You might want to also look at pro teams. You claim 10 point losses are blowouts, so include all teams behind 10 points or more please. I expect your next post will be sometime next Feburary if you do adequate research and list them all. Thanks for playing.
  16. Heck, I wish we would keep using those smoke and mirrors! How about we start to trend into something of substance If you had your way, we'd bring back Callahan. I thought he should have been given longer. He had a top 5 recruiting class coming in. { Which Bo lost most of.} Riley came in a saved nearly 100% of the class.

  19. Really? Riley bashing again when it was clear the game plan would have beat IOWA if not for an incompetent quarterback. The same one that lost the Illinois game
  20. Nobody hates on the players, one can be critical of their talent or lack there of as well as their decision making on and off the field. They are getting around $20,000 a year to play football, its not like they are volunteers.
  21. so forgive us for skepticism against someone with bias so strong he insults our own players.Insulting players = badInsulting coaches = good Insulting media = good Insulting posters who don't like coaches = bad Insulting posters that are sunshine pumpers = good Nailed it! That's pretty much how they roll here. Sure seems to be a lot of hate for the football program and coaches and Adm. for a supposed Husker site.
