thanks Dave living in an area that doesnt get televised games all of the time i have to rely on the radio and sometimes it is hard to find a station or if i am able to have high speed access i can listen on the net but it is harder to remember the actual player but i can remember the plays. yes it is a shame that nunn didnt catch that pass.

i think that the losses to KU and MU can be the result of 1 play each game. MU----reception by Hardy, or was it Nunn, driving for a touchdown and fumble MU recovers. KU----kick off return for a touchdown called back for an illegal block then NU goes 3 and out. ol'mo switches sides and the air is kicked right out of NU had those unfortunate events never happened then NU is on the way to 2 more road wins, but they didnt and we lost. next year after NU gets 9 wins again the t-shirt should read "ORDER RESTORED" GBR continue to Restore the Order

yeah i think that Adrian Peterson will get the nod, he did have 249 yards rushing on 24 carries (10 yards per carry average) had Zac had 400 yards passing then i think he would have gotten it but who knows, NU was playing sCUm (Big 12 North Champ), and OU played OSU (Big 12 South bottom feeder) so who knows

lets just put this out for the sake of arguments......what happens if (IF) sCUm happens to beat TU in houston next week? now CU goes to BCS, does TU get an at large birth to the BCS??? do they still go to the Rose Bowl and play USC???? What happens to USC if they get beat by UCLA??? Fresno State almost upset USC at home and UCLA is better then FS (my opinion). Then what happens to Oregon (10-1) No one is giving sCUm a chance just like no one gave NU a chance. Personally I would like nothing more than to have Texas and Vince Young kick sCUm's @$$ so bad that they would have to clear their throat just to fart, but you have to play the games. i hope the huskers go to the alamo bowl because there is a large fan base there already, a large fan base in arizona (yes they could make the trip to either fairly easy), and it is closer to nebraska then socal. especially since travel agents in omaha, lincoln, and GI are already selling trips to socal for the USC game. a lot eisier and cheaper to road trip to san antonio over 3 days then it is to get to san diego and back in the same amount of time. especially for us who will have to get back to work right away.

DaveH, who does the play by play on these DVD's? is it the same people who announce the games on the radio, or if the game is televised? or do they have thier own announcers? thanks for the link

peterbuilt, it is fine that you might not be ready to say that callahan is not the right person for the HC job at NU. i do not know if he is either, but i do believe he deserves more time to get the players in that he feels can run his system the best. on other threads i stated that in order for calli to stay on he needed to make some changes on his staff. but after watching how the huskers came out ready to play, great offense and defensive plans. i came to realize that this staff needs some time to get their plans working also. i feel that this program is headed in the right direction again. maybe not as fast as some would like but it is headed back in the right direction. how many underclassmen played a major part of the game friday? 9 on offense alone. Cory Ross and Brandon Koch were the only seniors that started that wont be back. 7 on defense with Adams, Smith, Tiedtke, and Bullocks leaving. that tells me this team will be better next year by experience alone

I would like to know where all of the critics are now? Where are the people who said that 6-5 is not that much better then 5-6? Where are the people who thought that NU should turn down a bowl bid? Where are the people who thought that NU has shown no signs of improvement and stated that dispite the record being better thought that NU has gotten worse. Where are the people who thought that Bill Callahan should not get more time to get his system implemented? Well guess what guys, NU is now 7-4 and going to a higher tier bowl game. Probably the Holiday or Alamo Bowl and I feel that NU deserves to go to either of these bowl games. This team has improved so much over last year that they went into sCUm country and dominated in every aspect of the game. Just think how this team will be prepared to play in the bowl after 4 weeks of preperation. How this team will play next year is yet to be seen but after how they played this weekend I think that I will book my flight to Southern California now for the game against USC. Yes I have talked about Coz not being the right person for DC and Norvell for OC. Maybe they need the same amount of time to get better also. I say now lets keep the entire staff together and see what happens. NU was good for so long when they basically had the same coaches forever. Lets give it some time and and have fun watching more games like this one in the future. p.s. Does anyone have the game on DVD, I would like to get a copy of it to watch again. Let me know and I will send a dvd and postage to get a copy sent to me.

i really dont think that NU will go to the Champs Bowl, it is probably be the houston bowl or the independence bowl because they pick before Champs does. even though NU has been down the last 2 years, the exec's for those bowls are going to take the risk of bringing in NU because of the fan travel history. i agree with houston not wanting to bring in 2 teams for the tourist. you would think that the champs bowl would want the same, but the state of florida gets enough of the snow birds down there each year anyway just like arizona. but what do i know i am not a sport writer, a bowl exec, or a tourist guru. i am just a soldier in the army who loves the Huskers. there are camel spiders but they are not nearly as big as the picture that has bee floating around the internet. if you look at that picture that shows a soldier holding up the spider and it looks really hugh, it is actually 2 together. but they are bigger then a large tarantula

a couple of replies 1. with the way this line has blocked this year, if you give the back the ball another yard deeper would mean (9 times out of 10) another yard loss in the backfield. 2. how would have frank have done if he came into this program with the WCO in place and WCO players and then try to run an option based offense. that is what i meant when i said that he would not have done any better. 3. ND, Penn ST, SC, and Alabama have become good quick because ND had full cupboards in place for the offense Wiess wanted to run. Penn St. has the same coach that they have had since Jesus himself played college ball and Coach P has not made that drastic of an offensive or defensive philosophy change. SC and Alabama are also running similar offenses from before. but again it is my opinion

every team goes through some turmoil. even your savior frankie went 7&7. before you get your panties in a twist Formerfan, yes he did go 10-3, i will give him credit for the Alamo Bowl win. but you can not honestly say that if frankie had not been fired that NU would have done any better the last 2 years then calli has done. the running game last year was average at best, and this years running game is horrible. well i take that back, if dailey was the qb then the running game might be better because he would tuck it up and run. but the passing game would really suck.......remember int to td ratio almost 2-1 anyway one question i have for you Former......who would be the head coach if you were the AD? please let us know

has anyone else noticed with the commits that NU has already that almost all of them Blake has had a hand in recruiting them. what does that say to the rest of the coaches? if you want to land a big time recruit get Blake involved and your chance improve greatly.

if taylor is the clear cut starter next year then do what MU did and give beck some game time when the game is still on the line to get him prepared for his junior year as a starter. who knows we might be talking about the wrong quarterback and maybe freeman will come in in january and set the Husker Nation on its ear and beat out each of them as a freshman. only time will tell. what do you think the chances are that freeman moves to tight end if he cant take the starting position by his sophmore year?

DaveH----I agree, start Taylor and see how the game progresses. If and the end of the 3rd qtr NU is getting blown out then bring in all of the freshmen and get them some game experiance. Same thing goes if we a blowing out sCUm. you are absolutly right about dailey not getting in when lord was here, but lord didnt get in very much when Crouch started. didnt NU go 7-7 with lord his first year starting, then went 10-3 as a senior. Dailey gets no experience, then has to come into a brand new offense that he was not recruited for and goes 5-6. whould he have been better in his 2nd year, yes. Would he have done better then Taylor, no. He was more mobile but throwing would not have been close.

Will he be able to qualify academically? will we get tyrel spain next year or is he done?

the FSU match up depends on them winning against Florida and then in the ACC Championship game if they win the ACC dont they get an automatic BCS bid? and if (IF) NU beats sCUm then NU has the possibility to go to the Holiday (doughtful) or Alamo (probable) bowl. If NU loses to sCUm then the Houston Bowl will be more likely because they pick ahead of Champs but who knows
