  1. If Nebraska's defense doesn't gain some confidence in a game playing the one of the worst offenses in the B1G, it's gonna be a long year. I think the entire run game has a big day. You know they're gonna be stacking the box against the run on this team. That pressure will cause some errant throws on play action passe, so I also think the secondary will finally be able to garner a couple of turnovers.
  2. This level of WTF is what makes me wish I didn't have to be associated as a fan of the same program with some of you..
  3. Your exaggerations are laughable. Any moron that thinks the equivalent of running a series of different plays is no different than calling a hail mary every time has no business even getting a response.
  4. or any of the coaches that never had a winning record for 28 straight years before he got there
  5. Anyone that says Mike Riley was not a winner or had a losing record, blah blah blah, doesn't know what in the eff they're talking about. Why don't you go ask Gary Andersen how easy it is to win at Oregon State.
  6. Helen Keller DID win 9 games a year here. He also was on the losing end of a gangrape by multiple universities. Winning 9 games means nothing if you look like a pop warner team in your losses.
  7. Well here is logic at work. It doesn't matter what play was called? So under your theory a coach would be a genius to throw a hail mary EVERY play, if it doesn't work, its the players fault for not executing..?? NICE! That's taking an otherwise logical statement and throwing idiocy into it. If common sense were had a value, you'd be broke. Nothing you said is worth any more of my time discussing it with you. Good day.
  8. Let's let all the backups play. Seriously, I can't believe I have to be associated with people that make these types of ridiculous remarks.
  9. isn't it all a moot point because Riley isn't going anywhere and you're really all delusioned enough to think that a coaching change is gonna happen?
  10. Don't forget LB. We are playing a walkon redshirt sophomore (who is kicking ass), true freshman, redshirt sophomore (who spent time last year at DE), and redshirt freshman (who was recruited as a safety). #fullcupboard #coachemup #doesmorewithless #noexcuses How do people think this is so easy to do? Mind of a husker homer....smh
  11. people only believe what they want to believe no matter what evidence you put in front of their face
  12. If you have players that don't execute the play call correctly, how in the eff is that the coaches fault and equate to him not wanting to win? That is just more insane logic I always hear from delusional Husker fans that refuse to believe that players can lose a game when the coaching staff is the easy target. Stop whining. They lost because their play wasn't what it needed to be. They didn't have more guys line up opposite them than we did. It was a fair fight and Nebraska lost. The play calls were fine, but the play execution was piss poor. Deal with it and move on.
  13. Maybe Langsdorf should have something to do with winning some games...just throwing that out there... He would have since they had a lead in every game with 10 seconds left. Last time I checked, scoring more points than the other team was the goal.
  14. This surprised barely anyone. http://www.foxsports.com/college-football/story/ohio-state-buckeyes-michigan-st-spartans-wisconsin-badgers-big-ten-picks-predictions-2015-081115 Even I hoped for better, but we haven't gotten it and I am okay with it. Even the article on www.trollitallfootball.com was contradicted by the author just a mere 3 months ago. If you were expecting more when the writing was on the wall for a tough season, it's more of a rose-colored glasses episode. I'll admit it that I drank the koolaid. However, some simple observations make it easier to live with. That and Bo Pelini isn't on the sideline calling me every name in the book.
  15. I see we're still not blaming the defense that has given up every winning score.
  16. his optimism is no different than your negative fortune telling
  17. You guys should talk faster. I also don't agree it's Eichorst's fault. Don't be the guy that goes for the low hanging fruit. Attack the real problem. The defense allowed every go ahead score in every loss this year. Even playing inconsistent in the run and pass game, they still have had a lead in three of four of the losses.
  18. FYI, no team since the early 90's (including nebraska) has ever won a national title without having at least two top-10 ranked recruiting classes within the last 4 years of that championship. None, Zero, Zilch, Nada....
  19. Creativity wasn't the issue with the bootleg at Illinois. Yes it was, we should've ran it right at them, like we did with Wisconsin. but they didn't and it was still the right play call. When you have a lead and the defense is called upon to prevent a score. you prevent the score. Langsdorf had nothing to do with losing those games.
  20. Just because you want a championship doesn't mean allowing the steps needed to be taken to get there should be ignored. If you thought they were going to win a championship this year, you just set your expectations higher than the reality of it. It doesn't mean it won't be attained, so putting the cart before the horse, seems silly to me.
  21. Langsdorf couldn't make the secondary stop the pass. The defense has given up a lead in 3 out of 4 games and the final score in all four losses. There are a lot of reasons for that, not one. If you think you're frustrated, imagine how they feel. Relax and cut everyone some slack. They're not losing on purpose.
  22. The answer is yes. If you're recruiting a four star and a three star at the same position and a walk-on beats you for the spot, somebody(s) isn't doing their job to its full potential, be it the player or the coach. In the end, it's the player's responsibility to develop. It's the coach's responsibility to show them how.
  23. How about just supporting the current coaching staff and players because common sense tells you they're not going anywhere any time soon?
  24. This is exactly what you should expect from this blog. I especially liked the part where he said he was being nice and then lambasted everything. Nice touch.
  25. I really never expected anything to be fixed other than getting blown out. I expected to see a different approach to game management and we have. I expected a lot of inconsistency given scheme changes and the amount of starts at skill positions. I hoped they'd adapt faster, but I think we can blame some of that on injuries.
