  1. Go BIg Red, beat UCLA. A great game for a super bunch of Huskers.
  2. Closest Armstrong is going to get to an NFL team is buy ticket like most of us. Throwing picks in the NFL is a sure path to riding the pine and a turnover machine like Armstrong isnt even going to get a look. He still has a year left and maybe two games this year, he has 32 picks to date. Put in perspective the same number of picks for our other Tommy is 11 in four years.
  3. Of course not. The Omaha World Herald is #1 on the list. Wait a minute, the OWH did nothing wrong. Armstrong did not have Riley's back on this, the blame is squarely on his shoulders
  4. Rule Number 1 for OC's. Do not read dumb ass posts on Husker forums. These people don't know squat and are obviously in love with leather helmets or never heard of high impact plastics, or missed the MSU game.
  5. So instead of letting these emails go to spam and trash Harv sends them to SB Nation. Yeah that makes sense.
  6. I constantly see this argument that the D has been terrible for years. Yes, there were plenty of games under Bo where the D was absolutely terrible, but it wasn't "every game". The problem with Banker's D is that EVERYONE has had big games against the Banker D this year. Almost every opponent has gained more yards against Nebraska than their average total offense for the season. I am not sure where it is in the "scoring defense", but I am sure the past 3 opponents have scored more than their average. Purdue scores 55 against NU in one week, and then 10 points against Illinois the next week. Yes, Bo had complete failures against Wisconsin twice, UCLA, and a few other games. However, with Banker's D they are a complete sieve. Against Michigan State, the Spartans went FG, TD, INT, TD, TD, TD, TD in a span of 7 possessions. That's not good. No one is going to argue that its good. There is lotsa of work to do.
  7. No. You're wrong. Your premise is that a DB can't ever be guilty of interference in any way if he's looking back at the ball, with his back to the receiver. I know you didn't say that explicitly, but that seems to be what you're implying. And this is absolutely, 100% not true. There can be such contact on pass interference calls, and it can apply to this case as well. And on the replay, he straightens his arm behind his back to make contact with Reilly. The hat comes off. The ref sees the contact with the straight arm. The call is ruled as simply contact by the defensive player. They review it. They confirm contact. Correct call on the field upheld. Im not sure why there is any argument, the guy in the white jersey was wrong and the guy in the red jersey was right and the guy in the black and white shirt saw it that way.
  8. Be sure and get your eyes checked on Monday, perferably before you drive to work or school
  9. MSU is a good team, not a great team. To say we don't need more talent is madness.
  10. The DB was all over Reilly. I cant believe a Husker fan decrying it as a bad call. Shame on you guys.
  11. Ding ding ding,,,,Yes. We really need a QB that is not error prone in critical situations, can throw a slant or a screen and keep the ball in the field of play. I like Tommy alot, I like his drive and his not a quitter attitude, I just wish he was a safety using it.
  12. "Questionable" Do you realize other teams have busts too? NU had the third or fourth best attrition rate coming into this season. The 4th or so attrition adjusted talent ranking (neck and neck with MSU and the only team with a significant lead was Ohio St). I'm so tired of the misinformation. Go look at the classes, instead of just proffering your opinion. I know you hate facts but you can't alter them. The ratings are skewed because they do not back out the busts and transfers after they occur. Do your homework instead just offering up lame opinions about other schools. Did anyone think Bubba was going to give up millions to play at Nebraska?
  13. Back during Miami week, Di Nardo made the claim that Miami was much closer to its championship form and Nebraska was no where close. So where does Sipple get this crap? I wouldn't believe or give credibility to anything that guy writes. 2011 2nd in Big (questionable due to drop outs and busts) 2012 4th in Big 2013 3rd in Big (questionable due to drop outs and busts) 2014 6th 2015 4th Nebraska is currently in 5 or 6th place in the conference in recruiting. If this continues, we will be conference doormats forever. WE are a small state, we have to out recruit the oppositiion.
