  1. Was that a good call to go 1-3-1 there at the end? Against a team with good shooters?
  2. I agree, but it just seems like it would be such an awkward situation with the new staff just getting settled in - do they just focus on recruiting and have nothing to do with the bowl game?
  3. So now that UCF has a coach and Walters has been hired on our staff, is there still a chance this staff coaches the bowl game?
  4. Loved the defensive intensity. Hope we can come out with this energy vs. Kansas as I'm coming out from colorado to go to that game.
  5. Pretty fortunate to only be down 12 after shooting 20% from the field. Need to play better defense. No steals or blocks in the first half. I was worried that we wouldnt have someone that could consistently drive the the basket this year. Palmer and Watson need to get into the lane more.
  6. His offense would probably be more effective in the ACC than the SEC, so I could see how he might have more interest in FSU than Florida. But it sounds like Fisher is leaving because he's frustrated with the lack of support from his AD or other higher ups - which doesnt sound very appealing. Plus, the silence from Moos continues. I'd think he'd have hired a coach by now if SF turned an offer down.
  7. Wow. Can't shoot, can't rebound and can't play defense.
  8. One of the best looking drives of the year. 7 runs and 5 passes.
  9. Tom Dienhart picks Nebraska as the big 10 sleeper this season. http://btn.com/2017/11/09/dot-commentary-who-is-the-big-ten-basketball-sleeper-team/
  10. Last year in their three games vs. top 25 teams they only lost by 7, 5, and 4 points, fwiw
  11. You're absolutely right. My experience and that of my close friends and family.
  12. Nebraska outrecruits UCF, yes. But recruits from Florida are less likely to come to Nebraska when their family and friends may not be able to watch all their games (as others have noted). Another aspect that some of you (happy) current Nebraska residents might not understand is that the quality of life is so much higher outside of the plains and Midwest. I'm a Nebraska alumni, and despite loving NU athletics, I could never move back. This obviously may not be a factor for football coaches (especially when you make > $1m), who probably don't have much of a life outside of coaching.
  13. As much as I'd like to see frost as our coach, I don't see it happening. It's just bad timing. One of the main reasons he took the UCF job is because recruiting is so easy there to implement his offense. Despite his and his staffs Nebraska ties, I think hes more likely to turn down a Nebraska offer and hold out a year or two more until he gets an offer from a big school with great local recruiting.
  14. If we have two - three players shooting at least 35% from three, I think we'll easily finish in the top half.
  15. Great, Eichorst just tweeted Miles will be here next year.
  16. Going to be disappointed if Miles is still here next year.
