well you are right. They say if the ball is kicked then it is automatically ruled down. The thing about the rule is though, it has to be INTENTIONALLY kicked. And i think it is obvious that it wasnt done on purpose. Of course there will still be people(missouri fans) that cry that "it was kicked" without understanding it had to be done intentionally.

IIRC he has grade problems as well as problems keeping out of trouble. BUT i think our coaches can help him. Step one, get the grades. Step two, get to nebraska with papa bear blake, and he will straighten out. Trouble can be made anywhere, but i like to think trouble is tougher to get into in nebraska.

that does kinda blow.... so they are saying that ZT will be rated 88 at best on the game... what was he on last years? 84 i believe?? Mel Kiper also said that he would most likely be a top 5 senior qb next year. I was going to guess he would be an impact player this year also, along with Carriker and Herian. Now im not so sure. but who else could they justify as a playmaker?

well im sure this wont be the first time you have heard this.... "its not the size that counts" i thought that too, especially for these coaches preferences, but after seeing the game film he isnt as short as i had thought, and he can play some ball. Thats what it really comes down to. I dont like the guy that much, but you have heard of Doug Flutie, he was 5'9"....5'10" in cleats, plenty of other short QBs in the past. The other thing about playing QB, most the times you arent trying to look over the big linemen because there are passing lanes you are looking down. of course there are times, and many times a bigger QB is preferred, but being 6' isnt to terribly short.

well how is this for a theory.... other coaches are still using our inconsistancies against us. They(other coaches) will lie cheat and steal.... i just get a feeling our coaches arent like that. They are probably telling kids that they wont be playing here, and if they do they get killed because we dont have a line or WRs. They tell kids of different races that this is a bad place for them.... tell kids that our coaches wont be along here long, callahan wants back to nfl as soon as possible, and if he doesnt succeed he will be fired. I think after this year, if our line blocks well, and our QBs start putting up big numbers, and Taylor gets drafted.... well we will see a leap in interest. Taylors stats from last year werent that impressive.... not everyone sees what we see.

i dont know about these polls. best big 12 rivalry is missouri vs. kansas? and the sproles one is way off base, he was decent but not better than A. Pete, Green, or williams. obviously the majority of voters are from kansas, but sheesh.... why would they be bias, they suck.

nebraska wants him to transfer to NU for next semester, beings he was eligible out of hs to play D-I he doesnt have to stay at a JUCO for 2 years. Oregon St is recruiting for next years cycle(the 2007 class)

270-0 I hope he checks this thing out, it speaks volumes about our fan base. His tape looked amazing too, receiver #2 had about as many broken tackles as he did yards. SO when does he have to decide in order to be eligible to play on our team this year? would he be considered a walk on this year?

not too suprised or upset i guess. I wish we woulda landed this one, but i had a feeling that he wasnt THAT into NU, and the reason he was "keeping it close to the collar" was because he just hadnt been blown away enough to make awesome comments. Then cue up Lyle Moevao the other day and i started to think, these coaches know something we dont about the QB recruiting in this cycle... this stuff happens, not the end of the world. there will be other qbs out there, and they havnt even had their senior seasons yet, there could be some diamonds in the rough at this point. as blow yes... not a TKO though. we are still standing

I would also say a Rivals100 player. To me the stars are exciting to see, but i never really care in the end, as long as we get our needs for positions, for our staff it seems like the 3* and 5* guys alike have size and speed. I am partial to the 3* players though, kinda like the underdogs of the class it seems sometimes. One of my favorite gets of the incoming freshman was Will Henry, the kid is gonna be a stud i get the feeling. And he was a 3 star check out just a few of our current 3* studs. If he has a really high draft status i guess i dont blame him, but if the team keeps progressing on both sides of the ball (beck gets some good pt and shows he can run the team, the backs and line show their worth, wr talent starts picking up etc... ) maybe he will just really like playing here and want to try for a championship?? is that too much too ask.... p p please? I might be pumping some sunshine but if we play up to our capabilities and Beck gets some pt this year i dont think we will drop in rankings much from what we end up with this year. of course we are nebraska and you know how the media likes us...

I think it should be, such a powerful recruiting tool to have if a network wants to televise you nationally. So it would be tougher for you to get to the game on sunday.... take one for the team, Literally. I think it would be better for us to take advantage of the national spotlight when we can get it. And like was said before, its a long weekend, so why not? So what are the chances that this actually happens?

I havnt had the pleasure of seeing him but sounds like he would compliment Noel Devine nicely.... I like the idea that the coaches are trying to keep the cupboards full. We could have one of the best RB corps in the country for the next few years, but that wont stop them.

I put lucky although i was close to putting glenn, again i agree its tough. I think that Lucky will have a couple big plays against a couple of the easier teams to put him over the edge, otherwise i think it will be close.

yeah i agree on that.... but i was just making the point that if he wants to play on a good team i think he would find one in arizona... they are going to be better than they have been in the past. Pro scouts dont look at how many people have watched a kid play, and smart kids will realize that. So they will pick the team that would best suit THEM....Now of course you dont want to go to a cupcake school, but Arizona can play a few good teams every year and prove themselves. NOW, if Lee wants to play for a GREAT program he will choose nebraska and i have no doubt that he could succeed in this offense, and be a great QB for us. Not trying to be a Nay-sayer but i just want to keep as unbiased opinion as possible. And i realize that he may be ours to lose at this point, and i dont think we will lose him... but there is some good competition. So i wont be shocked if he goes elsewhere.

didn't LSU grab somone as QB recently? and if it's between Nebraska and Arizona? man, i gotta think it's gonna be us. Arizona is an okay program, but no-where near the huskers in visablity. so, if this works out... Taylor, to be succeeded by Beck, to be followed by Lee... a solid plan of succession for QB over the next few seasons if it works out. well, yes and now with Arizona. Its no doubt we are a bigger name and appear to be better selection as far as getting recognized.... BUT, Arizona has really kicked their recuiting efforts in the ass since Stoops showed up there. Their last 2 classes have been very impressive and they havnt had a lot of trouble getting big recruits they want. Watch over the next few years as Arizona steps up to another level. With that said, i think Lee is a smart kid and will pick the school that is best for him, rather than buy into the coaches hook line and sinker...

perhaps the D keys on him more than the others? I dunno, i dont think he will be our best receiver this year for some reason, i have no reason to think that... i dunno, predictions are like opinions....and you know what people say opinions are like? now your turn to make a pointless prediction
