  1. If Iowa can win 12 and Northwestern can win 10, then we are ripe to get it done.
  2. It might work out for Fresno St. not so well for BYU. But look on the bright side; Reilly and Gerry will have plenty of time to host the enormus amount of recruits that are planning to attend.
  3. not really! pretty much nothing in common but you can believe what you want.
  4. Just an expensive place to cool off during halftime of a hot game. Tailgate right across the street from the stadium if you like. Also a place to hang out if you don't want to go to the stadium until the first snap. (those people piss me off)
  5. To bad, had high hopes for the kid. Sometimes you are just not a good fit or the adjustment from leaving home is harder than they expected.
  6. The malcontents are pretty much gone, everyone gets a fresh start on Sept.3. Lets move on except for the trolls that never will. 14-0
  7. Linebacker Michael Rose-Ivey noticed that the resistance from the older players melted after that loss. They, too, realized they had reached the bottom. But they hadn't reached the season's end. "We can salvage something," Rose-Ivey said of the attitude in the locker room That quote pretty much ends the argument!
  8. Not hard for a reasonable person with some common sense. This is my take and confirmed by the players. After the Purdue loss, I think many of the players realized that they were only embarrassing themselves by their play (Gerry for one) and made the turn mentally to allow themselves to be coached
  9. You might read the title of the thread for starters.
  10. 3 - 4*'s decommit in the last week from Michigan. (snicker....) The Harbaugh magnetism must be wearing thin.. Michigan now with 3 decommitments in the last 24 hours: 4 DT (2017) 4 OL (2018) 4 TE (2018) https://twitter.com/PickSixPreviews
  11. Explain how you can best utilize a players ability's when said players are resistant to the coaching they are receiving? Until they buy in, there is really not much a coach can do. Most of the problems have moved on thankfully and the other few are now on board. After the Purdue loss, I think many of the players realized that they were only embarrassing themselves by their play (Gerry for one) and made the turn mentally to allow themselves to be coached.
  12. Sounds like it is between us and Oregon, I think we have more to offer. I expect a decision yet this week.
  13. We have a fair amount of very good players sitting on ice while we wait for the great players that have interest to make a decision. Times are a changing!
  14. If you can't win in Feburary, you can't win in Sept. - January. Been proven time and time again. Glad that we agree and are both on the same page here.
  15. The nation's No. 1 recruit Foster Sarell has officials set with #Nebraska & #NotreDame. #Stanford likely in Jan. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ A headline never seen since maybe the Osborne days. Happy days are here again. Cav and these coaches are working to build championship talent in Lincoln once again. I'm feeling warm fuzzys for these guys like a Husker snuggy!
  16. We have a good group of coaches and I expect both sides of the ball to be much improved mainly because its year 2 and everyone should be on the same page this fall. It was very clear that was not the case last fall and we were still a hand full of plays from a 10 win season.
  17. Going off of Rivals visit lists from 09'-15', only three players finished ranked as 5 stars that visited. Owa, Peat, and Jonathan Bullard were all listed, but I'm quite sure Bullard never ended up making it here (someone correct me if I'm wrong please). I believe those 3 are correct and all three were drafted in the first 3 rounds into the NFL And Bo got them onto campus, which apparently is the hallmark of good recruiting per some. Personally, I don't find that to be a meaningful metric. Closing is more important, and if you're going to buy into the star hype, per the following link, NU is not in a great position to close on many high star guys - hopefully that changes with a breakout season in '16. http://nebraska.247sports.com/Season/2017-Football/Targets If that's accurate, it appears we currently have only 1 4-star probable commit and a 15% chance with a 5-star. If that's it, I don't see how this class can finish inside the top 20, or even the top 25. You don't seem to find anything meaningful when it comes to Riley and his staff. How do you know we are not in a great position to close on these guys. Many spent their own dime to make multiple trips to Lincoln. You do not do that if there is not serious interest. As stated an confirmed earlier, Riley has more interest in high profile players this year than Bo had in his entire career here. Wrap yourself in your own wet blanket. I haven't been here that long and I am already tired of it. I have never seen a supposed husker fan take a more negative position on nearly every issue.

  19. I don't want to get into Bo bashing, that would be easy. Riley is clearly recruiting harder than Bo ever thought of. ( I believe Bo gave away 7 schollies to walkons in 2013 because he could not give them away to recruits) Callahan would be closest in his final year for the talent he was bringing in to visit.
