  1. I... I literally didn’t say that. I said he reminded me of a young Ameer. That’s literally it. Here’s the quote, actually.
  2. I’m certainly not saying we will win next week, but to come out of the gates gloom and doom and speaking about a blowout after a win on the road that snapped a huge road game losing streak seems myopic. What nearly cost us this game were the turnovers, and if you take away the 21 points off those, this would have been a blowout for Nebraska. The turnover issue is a fixable issue, and while I’m not saying Huskers will wipe the floor with OSU if we hold onto the ball, I don’t think saying we are destined to lose and lose badly is fair, either. A couple things to think about... this is our 3rd night game in a row, and will be the first for OSU, so that might help things. They also have a true freshman quarterback who will be making his first start away from home in a hostile environment, under the lights. We were in far worse shape last year, and we kept it within 5. Ohio State looks phenomenal, as always. Nebraska looks like a neurotic mess that can’t seem to get out of their own heads and just play football, but they’re also showing a ton of progress and promise, and there’s a chance we can win if we stop trying to beat ourselves. Have some faith, y’all.
  3. Since I said that the way Robinson runs reminds me of a young Abdullah, I think it’s safe to say I remember how he ran his freshman year. Thanks, Captain Obvious.
  4. Oh, and we are now in the top 5 most winning programs in CFB history. That was nice.
  5. I literally can’t breathe and have no signal. Thank goodness for radio.
  6. As much as I agree with the frustration, we have to understand that Frost is as much an investment as Martinez is as a quarterback. I don’t think there is anyone better to lead our team, but it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t also have to learn and grow. It’s not easy to be patient given the Riley years, but they did significant damage. The biggest frustration for me is seeing our team so in our head, that we can’t get out of our own way.
  7. I’m wondering if he’s getting it in his head where he’s going with the ball before the play even starts. Sometimes, even if he makes the throw, he usually had a better option of where to put that ball.
  8. I noticed last game that he missed people who were incredibly open, too, and that’s happened quite a few times this game as well.
  9. If our team was a person, it’d be 2007 Brittany Spears.
  10. I do what I can, always for the team. Scoooooooooore!
  11. ... where’s the problem? With the way this game has been going.
  12. I found my new drinking game. Every time there’s a high snap, I’m taking a shot.
  13. If you flip this narrative, the good news is that CU didn’t beat us, we beat us. Once we stop doing that, things will get better. That largely comes from a lack of experience, and will only get better with time.
  14. You’re right. Let’s doom and gloom our way through the rest of the season.
  15. Bad losses are bad losses and this one (mainly cause their fans suck and losing last year how we did left a bitter taste) was especially bad. Nebraska has to be one of the best teams I’ve ever seen when it comes to shooting ourselves in the foot. That being said, the sky is not falling. There is an entire season left, and there are players and coaches who you can see want to do better and who feel just as crappy (if not worse) as we all do with how the game went. I just think these comparisons to other times we’ve lost are counterproductive and basically the equivalent of listening to depressing emo music when you’re already in a bad mood. Have some faith. Riley got more than a year and 2 games, perhaps giving Frost and the team more than that would be wise.
  16. I learned that losing hurts just as much as I remember, that CU fans still suck, and that a bad loss seemingly brings out the grump in everyone. I still have faith in these coaches and this team, and I think that we will get better and do better. I think we need to remember that Frost is still a young head coach, and that he will get better too. Patience, y’all.
  17. I think the problem is that so much of our offense is built on perimeter play, and when a team bites down on that like CU did 2nd half, we can’t adjust. I think that is largely due to problems with the O line, as we haven’t been able to run up the gut through either game so far. I still have faith, but it’s going to take adjustment by the staff and players and patience from all of us. I think Frost is as much of an investment as Martinez. Both have a wealth of potential and can do great things, but they’re young and good things take time.
