  1. Basketball is way easier to turn around. If you get two really good recruits that can change your whole team. I also think kids who play basketball are more likely to be willing to play on a "bad" team because they can still stick out with their play. If they are dominating and still losing they can still get noticed. Kind of hard for a top notch receiver to stick out if he doesn't have a QB who can get him the ball. Or a QB to get said receiver the ball if he doesn't have time to throw. I don't really root for Nebraska basketball but I have faith in both coaches to get things right
  2. My Uncle is a HS athletic director and a Husker fan. He'ld probably give Frost a few more years. I'll tell him to apply
  3. I think the building next door has a roof top
  4. it does have a roof top... but its to protect the inside of the bar. Their roof isn't high enough to see into the stadium.
  5. is this going to affect recruiting? I could see coaches telling kids not to go to Nebraska because new ADs always hire their own coach so Frost won't be around next year.
  6. If he was away that much it almost seems like he was daring them to fire him. He's older getting paid well and making some decent decisions and plans. Seems like he made his mark and was like IDGAF I'm gonna be heard not seen.
  7. this is bad... I guess because I make it a point to get Portillo's anytime I am back near Chicago I never knew they shipped food. Now I'm sitting here contemplating ordering 8 Italian beef sandwiches lol
  8. I did it like twice while I was coaching. 2 teams I had already seen on tape. My scouting report: "they suck just as much live as they do on film"
  9. probably the only top 10 anything Nebraska will be in
  10. I was talking to some people who were visiting Chicago from LA. They kept telling me they were going to eat at Por tee yo's. I had no idea what they were talking about. They kept explaining and I was like ohh Portillo's. Then they said No Por tee yo's in Spanish double L's are Y's. I said well its the guy's last name and it's Portillo's, welcome to Chicago
  11. I was like "I don't get it".... ohhhhh yeahhh. He's Adrian
  12. I only get italian beef and chicago dogs from Portillo's. I can't eat chocolate. Mr. Portillo had his carpets redone years ago. Their old carpet is now scrap pieces in my sister's basement lol
  13. I had a pretty good italian beef and an italian sausage at Swap-o-rama lol. I grew up in Gary, IN so the stigma of certain areas of Chicago didn't really bother me. We used to park just outside of Chinatown and walk like what seemed like 5 miles to Bears games
  14. Portillo's and Al's beef. I have some restaurant down here claiming they have a Chicago dog. Its not close
  15. on average they sell $800 million dollars worth of cookies a year. How much goes back into those girls? Do they have awesome facilities to hone their sales techniques? Top of the line medical treatment if they pull a muscle running from door to door? nope.
  16. Girl scouts of america is a cookie company that uses 100% free labor.
  17. maybe he wanted to commit but the coaches told him to pump his brakes?
  18. Technically he did leave Kentucky
  19. why is he acting like Frost said his name? He mentioned two guys transferring and then transferring again. We all know who he was talking about but its not like he was dragging the McCaffrey name through the mud. Would people outside of Nebraska fans really know what coach Frost was talking about or even been reading what Frost said unless CMC tweeted about it?
  20. I don't think he is slow. He is 6'6" and takes long strides. He covers ground pretty quickly. From his slight build I would assume some time in the weight room would only help in that regard. or he could be slow
