I don't usually follow coaching changes, historically does that mean something?

So what good would frost leaving in 2019 do? That would still be 2 years short of fulfilling his UCF obligation. Plus why risk what jobs are open in 2 years. Right now there is 2 awesome jobs open and both want him. Florida is great recruiting grounds the other his alma matter who he has said before is his dream job.

My mind never changed. There is HUGE difference in turning a program around to being competitive in all games and being dominant like Ohio state and bama. Do you see the distinction there is many levels between where we are and where they are. 3 years in with Riley we should not be 4-5, should not be losing to northern Illinois or be losing by 3 TDS in multiple games. Probably 2 more blowouts coming. Probably no bowl game

I found the gator thread. They are saying chip Kelly. Said he reached out to them, they pursued frost but seems like frost using them for leverage.

I checked gator board and see nothing bout Kelly to Florida. Little help?

Well if spurrier says it's a current coach you can cross stoops and Kelly off the list. Maybe that's all he knows

Kind of like how bookie said he is committed to nebraska 100% in his interviews. Not leaving as long as riley and williams there. Then a month later happened. Everyone said they believe him because Bookie has great character. While he is still employeed at UCF he has to be politically correct and say the right things. What people say in public means jack sh**. He also said he is 100% focused on UCF season and wont entertain anything till the season is gone- but it appears he is talking with nebraska about a contract and has an offer from florida as well.

I think Tom knows everything that is going on and is deeply involved in the conversations. Its likely he understands we are at a critical juncture of falling into irrelevance. Even an old school gentlemen knows when its necessary to step in when something is important. Some things you cant afford to miss out on.

Safe to say the reporter that asked that question does not care what fries he likes. They probably knew something about the contract negotiations and was baiting him to say lincoln, NE

To go along with my statements above. Something I find a little ironic and maybe its nothing. At the last press conference for scott frost. I think the last question was from a reporter who asked him what his favorite fry is. His response was Runza in lincoln.

Also hypothetically speaking I have a feeling Tom is probably pretty upset that his life work building this program is going down the drain. So he will be more active than most people think to help get scott here.

Hypothetically speaking I wouldnt imagine Florida offered him more than $5.5 so there probably isnt a stupid offer out there we couldnt match.

I dont want to say I have a source because I know everyone thinks it is a lie. So I will just say I have a really good feeling we offered Frost $5 million per year and are probably negotiating terms. Those dang gators probably offered him a little more than us before we made our first offer.

Thats a fair assessment. If I remember correctly, you are one of the posters who has a source that they are negotiating with Frost right now? Or am I mis spoken? Given that perhaps they are negotiating with him it just makes me think they comment in more detail for a good reason perhaps. But I do respect your analysis above.

Yes and most of the time people in those positions say statements like "its not appropriate to comment on other coaches at this time, we have a head football coach". But they not only comment but talk in admiration of him.

Something else to consider here. I find it very hard to believe Bill Moos and UNL chancellor would be making comments on Scott Frost right now and risk getting egg on their face if they were not talking with him already and feel good they will come to an agreement.

So you think Scott Frost in year 2 would have us competing with Alabama and Ohio State? That is just ignorant. Winning the big ten west in year 2. That is believable.
