Okay I've read it, she uses stats and skews them into her narrative. Same s#!t can be done on both sides - I could find 100 articles that use similar stats and paint the opposite picture. At the end of the day, it's an opinion piece written by someone on record (for years) saying there is no racism within police departments and being an advocate for things such as the stop and frisk. I've absorbed the info, and my opinion differs from that of MacDonald. She's entitled to it, but I strongly disagree. PS: Go Pack Go

I live in SW Omaha. Not doing anything different. My wife was freaked out, but I told her 99.99999% of the protestors are peaceful. There will be a few with bad intentions but those people will get snuffed out by police. There was lots of unnecessary paranoia in Omaha that rioters were gonna come to west Omaha and start destroying things.

Okay, my initial problem was with the Trump and Biden are the same comment. Saying their style and politics are similar is like saying Peyton Manning and Lamar Jackson play a similar style of quarterback. I felt the need to correct that.

I said "progressive police reform". He offered up ideas for progressive police reform today in his speech today. You know to try and fix the problem at hand. I'm getting the feeling you're not the type of person to have this discussion with, because so far it appears you just want to state blatantly false things as they are fact.

Biden is a more senile version of Trump? Goodness you are out of touch. Watch Biden's speech today and tell me how that is the same, but only more senile version of Trump....

Guess who has to be president to enable those candidates/people to be able to fix the problem? Biden will sign progressive police reform into law - Trump will not. Biden is not the entire solution, but he is a piece of it.

I'll be honest. I teared up a little.

Crowd told to disperse prior to curfew. Tear gas deployed before curfew. Literally forced out the clergy with tear gas. All so he could awkwardly pose with a bible. The bishop of the church said clergy who were there handing out waters to protestors, were cleared out with tear gas. Tell me how that is a good look?

Does Trumps base just consist of people who won’t admit they’re wrong at this point? Who is possibly voting for this guy. I would hope you could cross off libertarians and religious voters off the list, because he’s now more than proved he doesn’t give a f#&% about their values. It was f'd from the beginning. The bar owner is a known dirtbag who went to instigate trouble. At the same time the guys in the video do look like the converge on him. Absolute no win situation that will end up causing much more mayhem in Omaha over the coming days.

This is what I'm seeing as well. Trump has given Biden an opportunity to act as president, and Biden took every inch that Trump gave him.

So let me get this straight. Biden is meeting with protesters, key black leaders and later today meeting with the mayors of the cities most affected by protests - and our current president is hiding in a bunker, tweeting out decisive bulls#!t? Man this is election is becoming more of a no brainer by the second.

These people are having their worst years on record and at risk or losing their businesses. Can’t we leave them alone?

Sad to hear about the businesses in DT Omaha. Small businesses already being crushed by Covid now dealing with broken windows and vandalism.
