As a Husker fan ... what am I to do with this? How should I and/or the board respond. Do you mean this or are you just going to the extreme to make a point?

I think "The People" have lost total confidence in NASA ... so I'm not listening to a word from them. NASA shouldn't really spend any of their spare time evaluating our recruiting class anyways ... what a waste of tax-payers dollars.

Irieboy8, I read your post ... and I agree as well. I know you like the post by EZ as well ... the fans like us like who we got ... but it doesn't negate what you said and feel. I could have said the same post as you. What I wanted to say to you and the board is that we did go after these kids ... we "wiffed" and we failed ... but we did do it. I credit the staff ... they went out and recruited ... did their best ... and missed on a 4-6 top players we wanted ... which probably would have put us in the top 10-15 (heck, Peat alone would have given us quite the bump) ... and then no one, atleast those that look at stars, would complain. I have two points to make, first, we saw on those we missed that we make some recruiting mistakes in how we were approaching these guys and the type of "sell" we would closing with (note to self ... we also saw some guys we got because of our approach). To me, we missed on some guys because of some "growing pains" and we learned some lessons (staying on guys) that I think we mature with and apply going into next year. I think the star chasers also need to realize that we are gonna lose the "premadonna" (spelling?) to a school like UCLA ... it's gonna happen ... but you can't build your team with players that aren't thinking football and Huskers anyways. Second, to me, it's all those "little things" on the field that we do that hurt recruiting and the perception of Husker football. Look at all those mistakes ... the penalties, the dropped pass, the fumble, the interception, missing the key conversion, missed tackles, the strong 4th quarter, the key drive, winning the big game, winning the bowl game ... all these things build or deflate momentum for recruiting. To me, we need these type of things to go our way on the field ... and we really have not seen Bo, company and players find enough "success" in these areas ... and it hurts us. So, when I see us moving down the draft chart to grab the next best player ... I don't fault the staff ... they are fielding the best team they can and I'm with you ... I trust them. I can't make the statement WAHusker did because who am I to judge these class and it's future as a failure? There is no way we can know that. You can do it in terms of stars and rankings by Rivals/Scout/247/ESPN and their evaluations ... but that still doesn't judge what happens with those kids in four years of coaching. As a fan, I have to judge it based on the merits of the play in HS and the stars given or the evaluation of a recruiting who knows more then I do. Kudos to what you said and how you said it Irieboy8. I love reading your thoughts.

The Reeves were a key family in the church I pastored there. Ron and Nancy have three girls that have a unique understanding of the love, life and liberty found in Christ. I thought their oldest daughter was pretty ... she was about college age when I knew her. Layne turned out to be a "looker" for sure. Great family ... Coop and them go well together.

Having watched and followed DGB for four years ... well, he has always excelled ... while being on a terrible team and going against tough 5A schools in Missouri. He is the real deal. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. He is the #1 recruit at WR I thought, atleast top 5. He will do as well as anyone in the country ... considering he will be playing the top CB talent on the best teams oversigning can accummulate ... I still believe he will do well ... but that's only because I've seen him go up against schools I know and all the scheming that was done to try to limit him. If he can adjust to college, learning a new system early and handle the physical aspects ... lookout. The guy is a physical specimen ... just don't know if some of the comments are based on first hand info ... and I have great respect for the posters in this thread and their football IQ's.

Hey thanks, ya he went where where I thought. My fetish has now ended. It was fun to show him some love. Maybe cause one of my sons is named Brandon. He will be a good one for sure.

If I understand from what I read earlier today .. Michael Rose was the first to sign his LOI today ... anyone else confirm that? If true, that's a signature statement to me of him leading this team. He has been for so long now ... and continues to show it. I can almost bet that he wanted to be the first to sign himself up. I hope this kid has the career he wants to have ... if he does ... I think he will be a Husker many fans will talk about for years. So far ... he deserves the respect and recognition for being a great leader off the field.

Can you speak up next time with your inside information so we don't have 25 pages of "guessing"? I'd appreciate that. We have 8-10 insiders or folks who have some "first-hand" info and not many got this one correct.

Appreciate you Robsker. I give this class a solid B. Agree with what you said. If we get VV, It's almost a B+ for me ... because of the walk on class. Would have given it an B+ to A- with Peat. I'm pleased ... and pissed. I'll be thankful for a good class. I'm pissed in what my perceptions are ... that being some "closing" issues ... part of that is luck as well. We were fortunate to get Curry back. I'm not a "downer" today ... but I am pissed a bit ... really felt Peat was ours. It's gonna be difficult for the Husker Peat for sure. Hope the fans take it easy on him.
