  1. He seemed rather slow to me. I didn't see him as "fast" verses even his competition. Certainly saw the power. It would be interesting to see this power at the college level and if he stood out. Envisioning him walking on at Nebraska ... I would think he would be a fullback/blocker who if he was able to compete at the college level would be a goal line type back. For those who know of this player ... is he much of a blocker? I know he is a stud at his level but I just don't know if from what I see he would get threw any hole our OL would open up ... not that we don't but I don't see him making it threw the hole that quick at the next level. Thanks for posting this. Here's the link to the highlights I watched.
  2. Was hoping to have an answer on this board this morning ... nope.
  3. So when it is all said and done this kid, the WR and the 3 RB’s have a chance to be better then arguably the 3 best to ever play those positions at Nebraska? That is a lot of speculation off of High School tape and very limited carries at the D1 level. Ya, I was saying that. I think DF can be better then TG, certainly think that of JW over IF. The only question mark if one of those RB's or a combo of a couple can do what MR did. Speculation? Ya, I read a lot on hear on that. I didn't state it as fact. I stated as "I could see". It's an "upside" feeling like I had with Rex. We shall see. Hope to land DF and JW and then see what happens. And by the way, Rex would be a much bigger "hit" here at NU had their been more pieces to the puzzle. I think these two recruits would come into a better situation then Rex, except for Suh and that defense. Just an opinion. I guess I could be the "sky is falling" kind of person. Oh well.
  4. That is do sad. Such a graveyard of lost talent.
  5. So, if we are truly going to open up the offense but have not because we have not had the receivers ... we close the deal and he's However, if he's gonna be a blocker and get 4-5 looks a game with 3 catches for 50 yards ... we lose him and I don't blame him a bit for listening and even biting on what the Domers are sellin'.
  6. Man that original post was a good read.
  7. For me the combo of DF with JW and are three RB's in waiting are the next Turner Gill, Mike Rozier and Irving Fryar combo. Might not be as compelling at the RB but I feel good about this analogy and in some ways these recruits have more upside. Now if they can see it.
  8. Good thoughts guys. I agree.
  9. You wonder when people start cooling on UCLA. My goodness, it's amazing what they put on the field after all the stars they put out there. Definitely the Notre Dame of the West!
  10. I am not sure whether to laugh or believe your o-line optimism. haha. Unless the Defense turns a corner and becomes dominant again, next year (like this) will revolve around QB. T-Mart has looked less and less promising as a difference maker at that position. Watch the games yesterday again, but in CFB today teams MUST be able to convert 3rd and longs. WI, OR, Stan, OSU ALL had that ability (due to QB play). Feel free to laugh at anything you want. Tmart played a good game vs USC which has a fine defense. He looked good on the option and his acceleration is coming back strong. Our Oline should be starting to bring in some road graders next year from the last two years good recruiting targeted precisely for that. We'll see but I see good reason for hope. Go ahead that spew your sarcasm, I don't care. 3rd & longs are vastly easier to complete when...... 1. Your Oline holds up 2. Your wrs catch the ball Actually, if those two variables above can be improved & the damn motion penalties reduced we won't have to worry so much about 3rd & long. TO's teams weren't big 3rd & long offenses either and all they did was win National Championships, Conference Championships, etc. How many NCs have your adoring Beavers, Cardinal & Badgers won the last 50 years? We'll be just fine. But certainly do continue to whine, moan & sob. Whatever works for ya. Might say it differently ... but spot on. I'd apply this to Husker fans as well. My hope is to see another QB get some playing time in second halves to simple gain experience.
  11. Yep, it dried up. That happened the day we announced we were moving to the B1G. Kinda sucks. Guess you have not been around a lot lately. funny how so many on here denied the move's impact on Texas recruiting "Impact"? Of course ... lots of things "impact" recruiting. "Dried up" ... in one season ... does that really deserve any kind of an answer? A "fan" that will not allow 2, 3, 4 seasons to begin to see "trends" upon which you then evaluate and re-evaluate your strategies is a difficult "fan" to interact with. Beating the drum again ... well of course it is gonna affect Texas recruiting. And we will continue to recruit Texas, as well as Cali, Florida, Georgia, Penn, Ohio, Maryland ... we recruit all over. I know you know this ... but it's crazy to say "I'm wondering if the Texas pipeline has dried up" ... that's just crazy. Since we have one TX recruit on board (TA) and one Nebraska (state) commit (Cotton) on board ... I guess I'm gonna go ahead and say this ... since we are now in the B1G ... I'm wondering if the Nebraska (state) pipeline has dried up. One would have to conclude that as well if we are gonna go to these extremes.

  13. Welcome to the board. Enjoyed your take. Good read.
  14. Those facts won't help those fans on the ledge. I think we close strong and get some nice players. It's a good recruiting class.
  15. Actually, the "hail Mary" was coached perfectly ... if you heard what Bo said about. What lacked was execution by the players on both positioning and the tackling.
  16. Nice helmet to helmet hit by USC on Kinnie ... a no call of course.
  17. I have not seen anything on the practices ... but my guess was that he would be downgraded once he committed to the Huskers.
  18. Think him and Westerkamp would be willing to trade mothers? That was funny!
  19. I could post every day if I had a "guess". My "guess" would be that we would have other offers out there to receivers if Bo and company felt Jordan was going elsewhere. There are always "others" in the wings ... but from what I've seen we aren't chasing other WR's at this time ... from what I've read atleast. I think I'll sit tight and let the process occur before I get my flesh all worked up. At present, he is committed to the Huskers and from what I understand we are in contact with him and their is an open relationship between all involved. Sounds good to me.
  20. Sounds to me like your "feelings" are ruling your life bro. Not a fun way to live thru life ... especially on the recruiting trail.
  21. UCLA losses to the Ilini who lost 6 in a row ... oh I wanna go there!

      Sorry...was meant to be 'Owa'.

  22. My guess is Rivals is seeing a slight lean away from and as a result is considering a bump. :-)
  23. Huskers Online says it's down to four schools ... us being one. We shall see where his head is. "Nebraska, Utah, UCLA and Washington comprise the Compton (Calif.) Dominguez star's finalists." http://nebraska.riva...&tid=&mid=&rid= I could see Washington ... of course UCLA ... for everything but football. If these are his four ... and he wants to go for a National Championship ... He should go
