  1. Ya, Kinnie and his great hands are putting JT to shame. I'm not buying the practice line. There's more to this story... So, if I understand the situation ... you can play like crap in practice ... and you don't get to play in the "big game". However, you can play like crap (drop balls) in the "big game" and maintain your spot. I get what Knapp was saying about the "blocking" ... our former "good blocking" WR who couldn't catch a ball (plays for the Redskins) drove me nuts however. I feel like we are back to the same spot we were in last year.
  2. Ya, but I think the Mod's should ban him for atleast a weak for using the dirty word!
  3. Did you watch the game...what exactly didn't you like? You can't say there wasn't something good in the entire game... You have me confused ... where did I say "there wasn't something good in the entire game"? I just didn't think there was a "game ball" to be given out. There are so many "little" things to Nebraska football ... things that are missing. It's all the "simple" things, the things that you expect ... ya know, good blocking, catching the ball ... no turnovers ... playing smart. I guess I thought that we should win this game by two TD's ... especially under the circumstances ... theirs and ours of coming off an uninspired loss. Watch the game? Oh, you mean Nebraska played? :-) Exactly! What did you see that was good in the game? Are you saying there wasn't anything good whatsoever? Of course there were things disappointing, but come on man, reward the good things!! It was a win ... that was good. I like that Martinez played well ... since I'm pulling for him. However, all I said was I didin't think there would be a game ball given out by me. You seem to take that as I don't see "anything good whatsoever". Might I suggest that you are taking my words and pushing me into some of the camp of Husker fans that are pretty negative about the Huskers ... even in a win. Again, all I said is I don't think I'd give out a game ball. In addition, although some have the view of "a win is a win" ... I don't like losing the way this team loses and their are wins that are "W's" in which you say, "did we win this"? This is my last post on the thread ... the only thing I wanted to add to the thread was to say, "I wouldn't give out a game ball." It's ok, I will take what you said about Martinez playing well and give him the game ball for you... And wasn't pushing you into either of the pro or negative husker camps, just was trying to get you to say that there was some positive to the game... That's cool ArmyHusker. I'll break my "last past" comment to add this to the cool things about this game ... http://huskerextra.com/sports/football/article_617822bf-7103-5e8c-aeee-757b48b97898.html

  6. I'm sayin' no gameball today. Guess I just don't like what I see.
  7. It's looking and sounding like BK is gonna be drafted by the Washington Redskins!
  8. I don't know if there is a Hades ... so I'm taking that what your saying is ... "there's still a chance!". :-)
  9. 8 pages? Really? I won't take time to read it. This post should have come after last weeks win over MSU if it's worth 8 pages of interaction. I still have us losing four games this year so I'm tickled to be where we are.
  10. Some thoughts toward you. Ya, fans drive me nuts. I get your point. However, one can't try to "get your attention and ruffle some feathers" and expect anything good to come of it. It does the board no good. Simply post your honest thoughts and judgments and let it shake where it may. The good fan will respond to good, reasonable arguments and come to respect your view. There are 10-20 posters on here that I enjoy reading on a daily basis ... they have earned my time and I read what they say. Frankly, their on hundreds of views by "unbalanced" fans that I just let roll off me. Two cents from me ... a fan who has nothing to contribute in terms of X's and O's ... just offering my opinion on most issues with this team. All the best to you.
  11. Northwestern impressed me! Kudos for stickin' the fork in us.

  12. Ya, our walk-on program is not where we would want it to be. If I understand the timetable correctly, the program took a big hit under the previous coach and it really is just starting to have some inroads with the new coach. My guess is that this program ... just as in our scholarship recruiting ... is just starting to see the impact now from the coaching change to Bo. So ya, I'm as frustrated as the next guy with the walk-on program ... but it's takes time to get the pipelines going again. My bigger point is that it's a loss like Northwestern that starts a post like this. To me, we didn't lose this game because of our walk-on program.
  13. Hey, my prediction came true. Always sorry to see someone leave. I'd encourage you to take a chill pill. It's always best to make decisions of posting and leaving just after an emotional experience. If not, well, all the best in finding another board and source for you Husker info.
  14. Simply put ... Northwestern outplayed us. They played solid football ... very good on defense. On offense even their backup QB's stepped up. They took advantage of our mistakes ... but more then anything ... they wanted this game. To me, it was obvious that we were looking past this team. FYI ... if you look at the talk on this board this past week "many" seemed to think that we would walk over the Wildcats and take out Penn State, Michigan and Iowa and go represent our division in the B1G championship. Frankly, we are not that good to look past the weaker teams in the B1G ... cause we have our own issues. As I stated last week ... we must take each game one at a time and we can make the next game more important. Unfortunately, the fan base overall doesn't seem to have this view ... and it translates back to the team IMHO. Moving forward ... I can see this team putting together solid games and then coming home and losing to Iowa ... cause that's how this team rolls.
  15. SheepdogMark's Prediction: WYHusk isn't an active poster on Huskerboard in two years. :-)
  16. I liked the play calling. I just felt that Northwestern played good defense and were better then us today. Any game is up for grabs ... everyone just thought we were gonna walk thru a "powderpuff".
  17. Congrats to Northwestern! They played great and put it to us. Hats off to you!
  18. Congrats Northwestern ... you deserved this win. Awesome!

  19. You answered your own concern ... "in the long run" ... Rex isn't the guy to do it long term ... only in cases the coach doesn't trust anyone else. When Abdulah gets up to speed (trusted in the near future) I'm sure he will be the guy in this spot you are concerned about.
  20. I like this prospect for several reasons. He has a rare speed/size combo for a fullback. He also plays DT and has excelled. He went to USC's lineman camp and stood out. Finally, Bo loves to have players that he could switch from O to D. This is that prospect. Finally, with this speed I could imagine him as a LB as well. This kind of flexibility makes this prospect a grade higher.
  21. I'd love to answer this thread in four weeks ... Northwestern, Penn State, Michigan and Iowa are all road blocks to us having any significance in this debate. "Stay on target" ... otherwise ... "It's a trap!"
  22. Good push and some quickness in the video's I saw of him on youtube.
  23. This is why Arkinsaw is ranked #8.... W - Missouri State (51-7) W - New Mexico 52-3) W - Troy (38-28) L - at Alabama (14-38) W - Texas A&M (42-38) W - Auburn (38-14) W - at Mississippi 29-24) W - at Vanderbilt (31-28) What are you talking about??? The only remaining ranked team they beat is #25 Auburn!!! 2-6 Ole Miss, 4-4 Vandy, 2-5 Troy, 0-8 New Mexico, 1-8 Missouri State. Yeah, very impressive! I went to Missouri State ... didn't realize we had a football team.
