Oregon St was ranked #55 in Special Teams Efficiencies this year, link. Hopefully, that value he puts on ST becomes tangible at Nebraska, which was ranked #2 in the same index this year. #2 thanks to DPE. Nature vs nurture. More his ability than coaching.So, if we already got the weapons, why do we need Gluhaich? I don't think we necessarily need him per se. I agree that can be taught to another O-lineman.

The other morning on 1620 Benning was saying that Jones just wants some spotlight time during the recruiting process. At that time Benning speculated he was a Michigan lean but his family is pro-Nebraska.

Pelini turned out to be too similar to Callahan in this regard and other areas. They looked at what they had on paper and knew it should work but couldn't figure out how to get that to translate to the personnel they had.

Too bad Joe got mesmorized by the bling. Sure that Meyer did some fast talking also that spun his head.

It has to be appealing that that they were able to develop a 3rd string QB into a potential first round draft pick without any prior game experience. That made it glaringly obvious how poor our old staff developed QBs. We also don't want the future leader of our team to be afraid of competition. Part of our old staff now works for Ohio State. Uhm, our old QB coach now works for Ohio State. Nebraska had a QB coach?

Oregon, USC and UCLA were listed by 247 as the leaders heading into today. Hopefully Coaches Cavanaugh and Read can chip away at that before his visit.
