  1. 0-5 against the worst teams on their schedule? Assuming he meant the best... too bad close losses count for absolutely nothing
  2. Palmer took an OV to Tennessee last weekend. NC State, Tenn, and Nebraska are his final three.
  3. They also didn't get any bowl practices, so some of these players were likely more out of shape than they would have been normally. Yes, they can say they worked out on their own, but it's not the same as pushing each other as a team doing workouts together.
  4. I agree. From the sound of things he was a great teammate and a workout warrior, but it's unfortunate that he couldn't help the team on the field more. I wouldn't be surprised to see him try to get into coaching.
  5. Probably not, because that would include a win over Maryland. I think we would be in, but if not, I think it would be more likely that the Big Ten only gets 4 bids (Purdue, Ohio State, Michigan State, Michigan) in that scenario.
  6. Well he was super excited after his ASU visit, but it could likely have been just a visit high. The fact that he's officially visited there and liked it is a lot more than can be said for any other school so far. Now he very well could end up at ASU, but there's something to say for having the last visit. Hopefully he makes it this weekend.
  7. Right. In a typical year, at least some of these wins would look better on paper, but the Big Ten is pretty mediocre/bad after the top 3. Hopefully Miles & Co. catch fire and win out with a nice showing in the tourney. I know it's not likely, but at least we're having this discussion instead of having a repeat of last year.
  8. Unfortunately, I agree. The 1-point loss to Kansas hurts a lot, as do several of the other games that they couldn't close out. The only chance of getting another big win lies in the BIG Tourney. Meet up with Purdue, OSU, or MSU and maybe there's a chance.
  9. I do too, though it doesn't appear the competition is very good. He has the size and appears to have the mentality to be a good lineman. There are some issues with his fundamentals that he gets away with in H.S. that will need to be fixed (gets pretty narrow with his base for example) but if Frost & Co. believe he's worthy of an offer rather than handing out a one-year scholarship to a walk-on and going after someone for a full cycle next year, then that's fine by me. Time will tell.
