  1. Oh well, if he goes to KU, we can’t win them all. But hopefully he is really impressed by Frost and the assistant coaches.
  2. Hopefully he is blown away by Nebraska, and cancels his visit to KU. We shouldn’t lose a battle against Kansas — Miles or no Miles. But since he is scheduled to visit right near the later signing period, anything can happened.
  3. WR seems pretty optimistic that he is coming. Apparently he, Ty and Bryce are working on him. Definitely a great get.
  4. If he is as good as advertised, I don’t see him having the stats that Moore had his first season. We have JD (edit) coming back in the slot, and if Miles shines as well as Nance and Chase — and also with Washington — the rock would be spread around more than at Purdue. And I can’t forget Johnson. I know these are a lot of ifs here, but I feel hopeful this could be something very special. GBR!!!
  5. I hope we are seeing the Corn, as a cold-weather school, as being unique in that Frost is supposively recruiting lots of speed and power when speed is generally less in cold-weather states. Look at Notre Dame vs Clemson. The Fighting Irish just couldn’t keep up with the Tigers’ speed. Same with Michigan against Florida. Miami right now lacks talent apparently, and Wisky has handled them two years in a row. The cold-weather team that has the whole package of course is OSU. Why OSU’s only two losses in the last two seasons were routs against clearly inferior teams is beyond me.
  6. I was thinking about Woodward. He pretty much did nothing this season. I wonder if he was in more than four games, and if he is now a senior. Kind of tells you with jucos, you can live by them or die by them.
  7. Not saying you are incorrect. It was reported WR ran a 4.22 at a camp. Exaggerated? Maybe. Accurate? Not necessarily. But whatever the case, he is fast, fast. But most important, he has lightning quick shiftiness and great instinct — which hopefully stands out here in Lincoln. As a 62-year-old fart, I saw a slot receiver decades ago in Lincoln, who had shiftiness I have never before and afterwards here at the Corn. That would be Heisman winner Johnny Rodgers. While WR is probably faster than Johnny the Jet ever was, if he is even 80 percent of Rodger’s quickness, he will be something special here.
  8. If that is true, DAT then ran the 40 handheld under 4.2. Whatever the case, WR has top-end speed, and doesn’t seem to get tackled from behind and seems to pull away even from defenders’ angles.
  9. Let’s just hope OSU doesn’t enter the picture. According to Lettermen Row, an OSU recruiting publication, NPG was quoted as saying he has never heard from OSU, but “it is a dream school.” Apparently OSU is looking for one or two more DBs for their 2019 recruiting class. If they come calling, it could complicate things. Plus one of his uncles played there.
  10. I think Frost and company are counting on getting players the Alabamas, the OSUs, etc. are either ignoring or don’t have room for. I could see where if OU had offered Nance, he may had been a Sooner. As success is achieved for the Corn — conference championships, NC contenders —there will be more out-of-state players who will dream of wanting to come to Lincoln.
  11. I hope he comes through. We need that power back like Ozigbo.
  12. Greg Smith says he has heard nothing about Stanford.
  13. I agree. USC seems to always be only one coach away from being the best in the PAC 12. They have that high ceiling. While I give Herm some praise for having a competitive team this season, their upside is less clear.
  14. This question is based on if Wandale as a freshman becomes a key player in the offense — no guarantees of course: Do you think occasionally we would see both Maurice and Wandale in the backfield at the same time and also see JD and Wandale occasionally on opposite sides in the slot? Also we can’t forget about Miles Jones and how he fits into this. I’ve seen his high school highlights. He looks really good — quick and fast. .
  15. 247 has him listed as cool to N despite us having 50 percent. And the Corn is or was his only offer. Something must be wrong that is turning off colleges
  16. He told Greg Smith he is torn between NU, ASU and USC — the reason why he is not signing early. So I guess you can say all three schools have a 33 percent chance of signing him in February.
  17. Can Chris Klieman have at least some success at Kansas State after having remarkable seasons at North Dakota State? Who knows how well he will be able to recruit in the FBS versus the FCS. He is indeed in a more attractive conference than let’s say Craig Bohl at Wyoming, who has had a couple of okay winning seasons, and they went to bowl games each season. Bohl’s other two season were a losing record and 500. Will Klieman have similar records, or could he in three or four years compete for the North Division Championship? I must be honest that I’m skeptical of successful FCS coaches doing well in the FBS. However, I give credit to KSU for making this hire, because since you never know, it could work. Can you think of a better hire?
  18. I can see the players really liking him. He strikes me as being free spirited after watching him speak before. We will see how this equates to recruiting success. I just hope Frost’s successful recruiting battles against him continue, like with Maurice Washington.
  19. Yes, but the most important question is would you buy a car from him?
