I think the “Please stop talking” was directed to the players and the staff currently underperforming, not to the fans. At least I hope it was. As for us fans, you’re right, we have a weapon that maybe needs to be wielded. They’re going to want money for that new facility, and they’re going to keep wanting stadium revenue. A product on the field like last doesn’t accomplish either. Its not going to happen but that team deserves to play Northwestern in front of like 25,000 people. Maybe then they’ll get that they aren’t like the Huskers they see in pictures in North stadium.

No one will confuse Bill Callahan with one of the best coaches in the nation but he got recruits to Lincoln. So Frost can be expected to as well

Funny think about ohio’s Geography, which I’ll admit is better than ours, they don’t rely on it as much as you think while we say we have to build up walk ons. It’s going to take more aggressive, better recruiting then what is happening. It was plain as day last night.

Wisconsin hasn’t won a conference championship since Ohio st got off probation. Seven years ago Its time to lay on the line what it is we want from this team. If it’s championships then we need to switch models.

This weekend.....probably didn’t have the effect on recruiting that you think. We’ve had recruits in town when we’ve gotten lit up before. Want to be a elite program? Go do the obvious. Hire elite coordinators, position coaches, recruiters. The lack of emphasis on recruiting and not having a elite recruiting staff is never ever ever going to work in Lincoln. The staff Frost brought isnt that outside of a few and he’s paying the price. Until Nebraska gets a elite staff across the board its the same old story. Nebraska continues to be its own worst enemy. You get what you deserve when you refuse to do the obvious. Money is not a problem. The fan base is the only thing carrying this program at this point

I mean if you want names of coaches that resurrected dead, irrelevant programs with great recruiting classes I guess you could start with the two teams that played in the championship last year. It needs to be a priority and I seriously question how much it is right now.

By being higher. Look man the argument is over. The #5 team in the nation came to town tonight, handed us our a$$ and could have scored whatever they wanted. And they’re a midwestern team. With a much better radius than us. And THEY don’t think they can get it done by grooming walk ons, building something over years, etc. They land top ten classes every year. A #18 class would drop that staff on the hot seat. That’s the reality

If people can’t see that for what it was, a clear repudiation of how we go about things in regards to recruiting and program building then it’s never coming.
