  1. Not what I said, try reading it again. I said I hate it when people make excuses for bo or re write history for his benefit, or blame others for his behavior. Do carry on though.
  2. Tell you what.....I don’t hate bo. I hate people taking bo’s toddler tantrums and making excuses for them by blaming others or laughing them away. Look back at this thread and those on the LSU topic. People continually making excuses or re writing history to fit a narrative that doesn’t exist. That toddler caused more damage to the NU football program than any other coach and on par with Perlman, eichhorst and Petersen. So yes when “fans” of NU, who bo has expressly said he hates, back a toddler saying “wouldn’t it be neat if he’d come back and be dc”, “well I’d take him as an assistant”. This kind of stuff I hate. I don’t hate bo because I’m an adult and as an adult I can’t hate a child.
  3. That was what 3 yrs ago? What on field behavior exhibited by bo over 11-12 seasons has led you to believe he can act like an adult and not a tantrum throwing toddler? And to again the posters saying I hate bo...I say again I don’t hate bo. I hold him responsible for the most significant damage done to the Nebraska football program over his time here.
  4. Not obsessed. I responded, and have responded, to whole threads dedicated to making excuses for bo. You and @jjhusker have throughout this thread. It’s not bo it’s bad officiating. The ref should keep his mouth shut yada yada. Btw bo isn’t just yelling as you can see by the link below. When your own announcers are calling for the police to step in and arrest the HC it is clearly more than that. I’m sure you bobots disagree, I’m sure it was the refs fault he made accurate call and was in a much better position than bo. I’m sure it was ndsu cheating, or maybe his players.
  5. Further, I don’t have hatred for bo. I do think he’s a pretty poor human being and worse coach but I dont hate him. People like yourself that continue to excuse his behavior and don’t call a spade a spade is exhausting. My viewpoint of bo hardly qualifies as myopic....but whatever carry on.
  6. This thread is full of people making excuses for his behavior. So were many other threads where blo acting like a lunatic was because of the refs, Pearlman, eichorst, the fans, etc.....hell people have even made excuses that the lack of talent or roster depth in yr 7 weren’t “really” his fault. Can’t wait to watch this scum implode on the LSU sideline.
  7. Wouldn’t be the first time Reported by a pretty respected espn Mlb analyst. I’d be skeptical if it didn’t fit his sop. Confronting a freakin blogger hours before the biggest game of the season, coming inches away from assaulting a referee, grabbing his players by the facemask.....I get it some of you love him obviously, but this guy is 100% clown. Rest assured I will be here when the circus show ends up on the LSU sideline just as I’m sure many of you will still be here rubbing that clowns backside still the entire time.
  8. Right...I’m shocked. You mean on top of having a defense that couldn’t stop a wet fart, lazy recruiting, inept assistants, and being largely a garbage person.....bo “the clown” pelini cost us games by being a lunatic on the field? I’m still floored Nebraska didn’t fire him after that iowa game and even more shocked he wasn’t ejected. God I can’t wait to see this d bag implode in LSU’s sideline
  9. I thought bunch was in the portal again. Second, that’s why it’s important to pump the brakes on guys like Luke and Noah. They sure did run decisive and hard, the end result was two qbs that weren’t right for the rest of the season. To be successful we need a qb able to run the whole offense, not running the ball 15-20 a game. I am in the camp that thinks AM struggled mainly because of the supporting cast but who knows. Hoping for a jump with better athletes around him and upgrades on the oline as well.
  10. I stand corrected, SF has been doing it the right way. It was just bo and mr that weren’t.
  11. In 2018 they had more available based on graduation. AGAIN, at season start frost said they were going to have small class, they’d sign 20-21, but they will most likely sign 26-27....why. Candid and fair conversations moving kids out to better opportunities and accounting for some attrition. Now multiply that x4 yrs at 2-3 addl guys a cycle. Don’t know about you but I think we could use 8-9 addl guys every four yrs and maybe, just maybe, wouldn’t be forced to have a RS soph walkon starting for us on the oline. Having a freshman RS at rb playing in crunch time.
  12. At this time I believe the only two guys that are “safe” in their previous spot are jaimes and jurgens. Everyone else is on notice and will be pushed hard. It sounds like they really like some of the younger guys but that maybe another yr out yet.
  13. But he did. My point is if we have 24 “open” based on known graduations or players leaving, he should have signed 26-27. You assume you will have players leave every yr or you find space with those candid, but fair conversations. This is what’s been happening for at least 10 yrs, and we always end up handing “extra” scholarships to walkons. Fine If they earn and deserve them but don’t like the idea of awarding them because we have extras. going into this yr frost said publicly this was going to be a small class. Around 20....and we signed what.....24-25 on early signing day and now have 2 more based on reporting for nsd2.0, or grad transfer. This is what we should be doing and need to be doing.
  14. The larger point was he undersigned the class, players especially in a transition yr are always going to leave
  15. I see your point, I do. All I would say in response is you make it sound a lot colder and harsh than it has to be. I’m suggesting, and it seems to be happening, sitting players down that haven’t contributed and coaches don’t see a path to over the rest of their time here. Sit them down and candidly let them know that and why. Let them know if the choose to transfer you as a staff will help them any way you can, helping them land at a school with a scholarship with a staff they can feel good about. This doesn’t have to be a bridge burner but is necessary if we want to succeed.
  16. This is on topic. Frost is finally doing what he didn’t in yr one, what mr and bo didn’t do the entire time they were here. Here’s why it’s a big deal. say this year you know you have 20 sr. So you should only sign 20 new players, by that mindset. The problem is coaches in the past would take verbals from 20, and shut it down. Signing day would come and maybe 1-2 verbals commit elsewhere, so you didn’t sign 20 you signed 18....on top of 2-3 players that choose to leave...so you really netted out +15-16 players. The remaining “unused” scholarships would be given to walkons. Multiply this at least 9-10 yrs and that’s what frost walked into. frost finally said, with in reason, how many quality recruits can we get and we will find room. This will be the first “full” class we’ve taken since I can’t remember when, 10+yrs.
  17. If “win at all costs” is what you got out of what I said you need to read it again. If you still get that maybe have someone read it to you. It’s so far from “winning at all costs” that statement is simply flamethrowing. im not talking about injured players. I get guys contribute to team in more than stats, I guess you’d have to convince me that an incoming frosh, with an obviously higher in field ceiling, can’t fill that contribution on the scout team, cheerleader, social butterfly, moral, etc.... I’d have a hard time believing a 3rd yr player with 0 “zero” on field contributions has a chance at any measurable contribution in yr four. Helping them find a scholly somewhere else benefits them and us. Hardly controversial, hardly winning at all costs.
  18. I’m not for renewing every yr. I am for helping find kids that are largely non contributors a new school/scholly after yr 3. As a parent this wouldn’t bug me at all. I mean guys MRs last class has been responsible for 36 starts, 33 of them by jaimes. We just had a guy transfer that in 3 yrs hasn’t been responsible for one tackle, unassisted or assisted. Not controversial, or at least shouldn’t be.
  19. A bit extreme for me but I see where you are coming from. Scholarships should be earned not granted. I’m pretty clear, if a non contributor after 3 yrs I don’t know wh6 it’s even a question or controversial at all.
  20. To be fair, the 3-4 previous coaches didn’t exactly set a high bar.
  21. It was pretty clear and could point to very specific players where under both bo and mr s&c was optional at best. By any measure, whether you’ve seen it translate yet to the field or not, the team is in better shape. Keep in mind, a frosh or soph, even in shape, is still only an underclassmen.
  22. And all I argued was that was well over ten yrs ago. That’s a fact, and then I said we will see it play out on the field. You’re no more right than I am because they are both opinions, led by a handful of facts on either side. I do acknowledge his success as a dc at LSU. I also believe the game has passed him by, largely led by his ego and inability to adapt. Again, opinion, we will see it play out.
  23. Jesus. I don’t feel jilted, I don’t have it out for him. Some of you think he was good for the university and a great DC. I disagree, obviously. I’ve backed mine up with verifiable facts. All ive done is respond to people that continue to make excuses for him, blame someone else, point to a time north of 10 yrs ago, cherry-pick facts. I mean it is a message board on a topic of bo going to LSU as a dc. Some of you think he’s a defensive genius, I believe otherwise. We get to see this thing play out. However, you want this thread to die quit responding carrying water for the guy, rewriting history while taking an eraser to the last 7-8 yrs.
  24. I’ve said before, no meltdown, I’d move all support from football until he was gone. I’ve also stated, not only do I see him as a sub par coach, I also see him as sharing a three way tie for current state of the program with eichorst and Perlman. I’ve stated specific examples why, with really no direct response to address any of them. I guess I have a higher character hurdle one has to pass before earning my support and well....bos character is what it is. you have your opinion I have mine.
