I was there and feel like it was a bit of a let down. Of course people cheered, but it wasn't as loud as it could have been. However, that could have been because they didn't do the HUSKER POWER cheer which is always a energizer for the crowd. It seemed that all of the sudden the seniors were coming out and there wasn't quite as much build up as there could have been! Just my thought!

Here is another wife that is way into Husker football! Our whole family is all decked out in Husker gear on game day! It is great!

All I have to say is whatever! The Huskers are not looking past this game! They will prove that on Friday by much more then 4

Excellent article! I have to say that I am much more excited walking out of memorial stadium after close games (win or lose) then I am a blow out. Of course it is much more fun when we win. But those of us that were at the Texas game were so excited about the prospects of meeting them again in the Big 12 Championship, that the fact that we lost hurt a little less!

Okay..so just for giggles I went over to Allbuffs.com to check it out and it sucked! People were rude and offensive! I have to say that I am not easily offended but like papersun said that site brings out the worst in me. Hell yea, you can. In unfathomable to me how people dismiss winning the North as a goal for this team. Not only a goal, but a stepping stone for a rebuilding program. The North, while isn't much in terms of beating a bunch of quality teams, is absolutely necessary for Nebraska. You can't get anywhere without winning your division first. It's the first step in getting back to the Big XII game and maybe into the BCS in the coming years. Nebraska isn't going to magically jump into the top 10 without getting into big games and winning them. They aren't going to get into the Top 10 without winning the North. It just doesn't work in the Big XII. It does somehow work if you are Notre Dame. :hmmm Texas was one of those big games this year, the Big XII game will hopefully be another one. I agree....I think that Nebraska will get better and they have to set goals to get there. Win Big XII North, win Big XII Championship then win BCS Bowl Game. Would people be happier if we didn't win the North and were just another team in the pile of the North...I don't think so. We shouldn't be totally satisfied with just winning the North...but we need it to get anywhere else!

I just can't wait until 11am saturday morning! GBR....Memorial Stadium will be so loud....I lost my voice for a couple days after Kansas...I figure this game will be even louder!!!

The wave was a few people.. about 95% of the stadium was silent. As previously mentioned most people around me were upset about the few that doing it!

I agree...Husker game day in Lincoln is just as much about the atmosphere in Lincoln as the game...almost Get to Lincoln as early as you can to enjoy the people and Husker Red...walk around downtown and go to the bookstore for sure. Normally the stadium opens 90 minutes before kick off...we always go then to stake your claim on you little seat and enjoy the stadium as it fills up! We are in the front row by the 20 yard line so we have plenty of people to watch!!! Have a great time!!!

Can't wait to hear those 81,067 fans screaming for the Huskers next weekend!!!!! We will be in the front row baby!!!!

I am also pretty sure that EVERYONE needs a ticket...however I would check with the ticket office also!!

We all know that if we do beat USC it will be an upset! We want everyone to pick USC so that the victory will be that much sweeter! As lots of people have chimed in USC will be tough...even with all of their changes....as will Texas....We are still improving and wins against these teams would be huge for our program! The game time is usually release 1-2 weeks prior to the game, unless it is televised, then it is usually sooner. When we go to games, we always go the the bookstore and just wander around downtown. There is always something to watch! We always sit on the steps of the stadium for a while to just watch at the Husker fans!!! Great entertainment. Have a great time Go BIG RED

My husband and I were on our way to flying from Kansas to Florida a few years ago and as were boarding the plane they were scanning the tickets as the do. There was a big tall guy in front of me and right before they scanned my ticket, I noticed the name Wistrom on the scanner thing. I immediately thought...Grant or maybe....Tracy...I told my husband and he said...no....that can't be him...he keeping thinking about it and finally I told him to go ask him if he was....so he eventually asked him...and sure enough it was Tracy. He signed an autograph for us....Turns out he was going to Tampa to meet with the Buccaneers! Thought I would share!!!

Either way there will be at least 6500 more Husker fans cheering for the Big Red!!! I can't wait to hear it!!!!

Corey is very fun to watch! He help bring a certain level of fire to the defense!!! He should have a great year!
